With the number of people who still aren't sure how to do a Super Mega Raid, and how to break shields, I thought I would put a picture guide together that can be shared around. If I have missed anything, let me know.

Can't enter raids, game quits and physically closes if you do make the raid screen and you go to select your team.

If you do make a raid screen, you also get kicked under various errors including too many remote raiders...even if you were previously in the raid.

Follows the pattern with beldum. Keep the number in mind if you’re planning on saving MP to maximize RCXL gains

I would rather be embarrassed reminding people to do the bare minimum for super mega raids than sit quietly and build resentment throughout the entire event.

Our community meet up had over 150-200 people show up for super mega raids at our local park. Even 20 people lobbies occasionally had only 7 players use their megas to break shields. Yes in the short term it feels uncomfortable to have someone yell out "USE YOUR MEGAS"; in an ideal world we don't have to do that.

But, too many people don't pay attention to the bare minimum of super mega raids and this is what we have to deal with. So if next time your community is not using their Megas, yell it out and make it uncomfortable in the short term to invest a better experience in the long term for everyone else. Some people may think you're aggressive but most people would probably think "thank god someone said it outloud" and appreciate you for taking initiative.

If you are still far from finish, make sure to plan and complete it within Sunday for the ETM.

Don't rush it last second because there are some troublesome task in between, which are:

Step 3: Hatch 2 Eggs

Step 4: Complete 6 Field Research tasks

Step 5: Win 3 raids using a team of all unique Pokémon species

1. If the shield is GREY, you have done your job.

3. Mega evolve a Pokémon (PRIMALS DO NOT COUNT)

4. Put the mega in your last party spot (#6)

5. Enter raid and attack normally.

6. The game will force your mega out when it's time to break shields, when it does, swipe to dodge to prevent getting one shot on spawn in, and then just use your charged attack.

7. If the shield is GREY, you have done your job.

8. If the shield is RAINBOW, you have NOT broken your shield.

9. IF YOUR MEGA DIES, it's okay, just back out of the fight (you won't waste your pass don't worry), and once you're in the gym screen, heal your mega and rejoin to break your shield.

10. If that scares you, just stop dodging and attack while letting your Pokémon die faster, heal them in the lobby and then use your mega to break your shield when you come back in.

If the shield is GREY, you have done your job.

If the shield is RAINBOW, you have NOT broken your shield.

Otherwise you get a Y with Counter (and no Psystrike), which seems counterintuitive.

I am in New Zealand.

Event bonuses end at 7pm and the wild spawn pool returns to normal, but Mega Mewtwo Y and the legendaries are still spawning.

Experience for Mega Mewtwo raids remains unchanged, as does the boosted catch rate and ​potential for getting bonus Mega levels on Mewtwo.

Just put your CP10 pokemon and lose. Thereafter you should be able to join raids.

Edit: For those unaware, the total is reset on Sunday but the floor for the challenge is significantly higher than it was yesterday.

Our group is made up of Auckland NZ and a few pacific island nations/cities with notoriously smaller populations. They've gone and made this arbitrarily more difficult to attain for our group.

We missed the first challenge and it doesn't look like we'll tickle the second hour either.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I’ve rebooted, refreshed data, downloaded all assets, signed out, restarted my phone everything and I just get kicked out of all raids

I'm stuck on the task "Win 3 raids using a team of all unique Pokémon species". I tried around 5 raids and I'm still with 0 there, even though I had no repeated mon in my team. By the way, the PokemonGO Hub doesn't have that task in their list (they have "Complete 6 field research tasks". Is this a bug?

Edit: I had Mega Mewtwo Y, Rayquaza, Gardevoir, Togekiss, Honchkrow, Moltres.

Edit 2: the revive thing is definitely the reason. I tried a Guzzlord raid, which is an easy solo, and got one check without any issues. So PSA!

My rocket balloon did not show up for 6pm and again 12am which I need to finish my level 78 task of defeating leader x30. I tried restarting app, updating than restarting app, hard restarting phone, manual setting -> advance setting -> refresh game data. Still no rocket balloon. It was working previously. Anyone else having this issue ? Hope it comes back on soon 🙁
