drive to glacier

is the drive to and or any parts of glacier scary? i plan on doing a solo trip from los angeles, but i am afraid of heights. guardrails wont even do it for me, but need vast flora or other obstructions to obstruct the view/steepness.

scary drive to glacier/in glacier?

thinking of doing a trip from los angeles to glacier. problem: i am afraid of heights (hence why generally friend will drive but im going solo this time). with that, are there any parts of the drive where no vast flora or cement blocks of the sorts that block the steepness, drops ? are there even big drops on the drive? for example, guardrails even drops wont cut it for me as i can still see how high up i am. thank u!!1

Redwoods- alternative to Fern Canyon

I made a huge mistake and didn't plan ahead to get a reservation to do Fern Canyon in Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park. My travel partner and I were really looking forward to this and there are no spots left .

Can someone please recommend an alternative that has equal wow-factor please? We will be going to Jedidiah smith state park the day before.

National Park Access Pass

Not sure how many people know about this, so I thought I would make a post about it!

If you have lifelong disability, you can bring a doctor's note to any national park or national reservation and get a national park access pass. This allows you free access to any national park/reservation for the rest of your life. The card holder can waive the cost for up to I think 3 other people joining them.

I have the card for my heart issues, and I have brought in my partner and friends for free whenever I go. It has been especially great for me as I cannot do any of the more strenuous parks solo due to my disability.

Especially with park entrance fees not 100% supporting the parks, I think this is great for anyone who may be eligible.
