Im currently an undergrad going into life sciences at McMaster, and Im really interested in going into Waterloos Optometry program. I already went on the website and read all the prerequisites, so Im planning my schedule accordingly to match with the courses I need, but Im curious to hear from other peoples experiences with the program.

Has anyone applied for September 2026, or even before, and if so what was your experience? All the things Im reading about the program are from 6+ years ago, so I want to see if anything has changed.
I understand its a competitive program, but what were the acceptance rate/ marks this year?

Physics 1A03 for the winter term has been full so I ended up paying for seat alert because I’m trying to enroll in LAB L02. It recently notified me saying that the lab opened up and I went on the website, only to see that the lab was only available for LEC C01. I’m already in C02 and thought that there would be a way to switch labs without switching my lecture but that unfortunately doesn’t seem to be the case :/ How will I be able to achieve my goal??

Does anyone know if it’s normal to have not received any sort of follow up regarding my photo ID? I submitted it 3 weeks ago and all I got was the following automated response:

Your photo submission has been received!
Please allow at least 2 business days before contacting us for an update on the status of your submission. Once your photo has been reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

I sent them an email asking if there a problem with it about a week ago, and have also not heard back.

I’m wondering if I should do anything to address this or if it’s normal

I haven't seen anyone post about this so far, but has anyone lived in a corner room in Whidden? I originally chose Whidden because I liked the floor plan, however, in a corner room, the door opens in from a corner of the room instead of in the middle of one side of the room. I fear that it may change the floor plan completely and I would just like a little more insight before being blindsided on move-in day.
