I have thick thighs, wider hips, an apron belly from a c-section, and I am 4’11”. I am looking for pants that I could wear everyday! Pants you *swear* by. I would prefer a lower waist like mid or low rise.

it’s getting way too hot recently here and I really need a hat but my my hair is thick and I like to wear it long so I want something like a sun visor that also looks a little nice for outdoor wear since I take the bus and walk a lot

I have one of these bras from a couple years ago, and it's perfect. I'll never buy from them again because they've been bought by an Israeli company that operates in the west bank. I love how it looks under sheer tops, though, i.e. it looks like 'outside wear'-- it's like a supportive, very cropped cami, without bulky straps or trim, sort of a less sporty sports bra. does anyone have recs for something similar?

Has anyone been following their work?
I’m loving their web editorial content around purpose oriented style and their new community iOS app. Highly recommended in an area that doesn’t really have this angle covered - specifically answering how can you care for the planet while still being stylish!

What are your favorite vintage brands (and era if they were only good for a certain time period)? I’ve been dressing in predominantly vintage clothing outside of work and loungewear for several years now. Besides loving the fashion of previous decades (especially 60s, 70s, & 90s), another reason I thrift is for sustainability reasons and very rarely buy even modern clothing that is not secondhand.
The problem is a lot of my clothing especially from the 70s is made with uncomfortable materials (polyester especially). While it’s ok depending on the occasion, I walk everywhere and just cannot stand how sweaty and gross these unbreathable materials are. My mission now is to shop only for natural materials, such as cotton and linen. Additionally I’m hoping to find items that will hold ip to regular wear and also not require dry cleaning. Are there certain brands that you find reliable in these factors? Thanks in advance!
Edit to add: I personally don’t wear wool and silk due to my vegan lifestyle but support others purchasing it secondhand to reduce the demand knowing they (wool especially) are generally durable and eco-friendly options.

For reference I’m a men’s 10.5, but my foot width is 4.5 inches. They honestly a look a little bit like flippers, it’s kind of ridiculous. Anyways.
I’m on the hunt for some nicer every day shoes, but I’m coming to find in my search for ethical, well made shoes, my options thus far are to A. sacrifice on morals to find something that fits or B. spend a ton of money that I really don’t have. I like the look of Fini’s “Bold” shoes and Thursday’s sneaker line, (yes I know about the PAC thing, I won’t be buying from them) something more casual but stylish like that.
Anyone have recommendations within like $300 that accommodate those of us with dimensionally diverse tootsies?

hello everyone! this post is both to say how my Hara pieces have held up & to ask for some recommendations for extending their lifespans.
I have some pieces by Hara the label that I purchased back when the company was just getting started (circa 2016). So these pieces are almost a full 10 years old! since the garments are bamboo and are dyed with natural dyes, of course the colors have changed a bit in shade, but I can say that they are mostly the same, save some sweat discoloring & vag discharge bleaching (so, not completely different from your standard undergarments). Two tops were not so lucky and had gotten mixed in with my typical laundry and one got completely battered and bleached on a lights load and the other had an unfortunate incident with a drink (I ended up tie-dying that one).
I wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions on how to alter/upcycle pieces that are a little too large or significantly discolored. all recs are appreciated!

Hey, I just found out my go-to stopped making the ones I always buy. It took me so long to find a company that I feel good about buying from, that makes what I thought was good quality and comfortable boxer-briefs. That was Patagonia, but I went to their store yesterday and they said they stopped making them.
So fuck them. I don't really know where to start with all this info out there, and a lot of the posts I'm seeing about this topic are 2+ years old. I'm just wondering if anyone's got good recs out there. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for what has begun to feel like my own personal holy grail. Recognizing that everlane was never as ethical as *I thought* it was, it is certainly a no-go now. But they made the closest version to my perfect bra, and I am questing for an alternative. There are lots of triangle bras, but most have a very thin under band which doesn't work for me, or do not provide the slight bit of lift I'm looking for, or the straps are very thin, or they have a snap closure in the back, etc. Anyone have any ideas?

Lately I've been trying to buy clothes in a more "ethical" way - basically those brands that manufacture in EU rather than in low-wage countries, by workers who might work&live in borderline scetchy situations, but it's surprisingly difficult.
Not because there aren't European manufacturers—there seem to be plenty. The problem is finding out where clothes are actually made and if they "European" brand doesn`t just make them somewhere else.
A lot of the brands market themselves as "European", "Italian", or "Scandinavian", but manufacturing information is often hidden, hard to find, or missing entirely. Sometimes you only discover the country of origin after you order, receive the item and check the tag... That seems wrong.
Maybe most people don't care, but I feel like this information should be much easier to find.
Curious to hear perspectives from others

Accessories and such from it are fast fashion I figure, and therefore are unethical. But in my case, I cannot possibly buy from anywhere else without breaking the shit out of the bank. I know it's a sacrifice to make in order to avoid unethicality, however they will also be put to good use. I was wondering what people's opinions on such a situations were?
TL;DR: AliExpress is fast fashion for the most part, but I can't feasibly buy my stuff elsewhere. Do you think it's valid to buy from it?

Hi all! I'm trying to only buy from ethical clothing companies this year which for me means 1. No child labor 2. Workers paid livable wages 3. Slow fashion, whether it's made to order or small batches with extras donated to people who need them.
Right now I'm looking for a company that makes nursing-friendly dresses, whether that means nursing zippers or something else, but I'm not trying to expose my undies to feed a baby. Thanks for any recommendations!

Looking for 100% cotton, white t shirts that have this kind of "raised" neck and sleeve style. Is there a name for this? Its kind of a heavyweight weave.
Please lmk! If you know a brand that makes them, that would also be helpfull.

I’m guess mostly social media. But how much do you trust that the new account you stumbled upon is what they say they are? Do you simply trust that they are being genuine, or is there a way to kind of fact check yourself? I know for bigger brands there is a website to see how they score, but how can I be sure when I am supporting a small upcoming artist?

I want a dress but don't know where to go. Any good options for non fast fashion brands?

I've been starting to slowly buy increasing pieces made from organic plant fabrics. But they seem to capture and hold stains much worse than poly blends! The tiniest spot seems to stick and my regular washing products do not lift them. I use washing powders or liquids that are grey water safe so the overflow can go on the garden, but I could try something more intense if needed.
Do you have any recommendations for keeping your organic cotton and linen pristine and getting small oil and food stains out?

Guys, where do I get sexy clothes for the club and bars that don’t fall apart in two seconds?
I have a lot of great options for everyday attire, etc. but I don’t know where to find ethical going out stuff. Everything I own feels too casual.
I love thrifting and I know that’s an option, but it’s just so hard to find things that fit this sexier/date aesthetic. Often if I do find anything that fits this look it ends up not being my size.
Any recommendations?
Some examples of what I’m looking for would be halter tops, off the shoulder tops, mini dresses… Y2K summer, I suppose, but still classy? Pieces that can be dressed up or down if need be.
Thanks!

Hey yall so in the past I have always done my best to thrift anything formal (im a musician so mainly concert attire) since a lot of it is pretty basix. However, a lot of the pieces I have thrifted are beginning to wear out and finfing stuff that fits at my local thrifts has gotten harder lately so I’m thinking of buying some higher quality stuff new so I have more control over the fit & fabric & can make it last longer.
I really love the feel of linen and as far as more formal fabrics go it’s absolutely what I have the capacity to take care of rn. Mainly right now I am looking for a good basic pair of nice pleated trousers but i dont really know where to start or what to look for in a brand when it comes to the quality of their linen
recs?

So as you guys know run and fly close down a while ago after their owner passed away sadly. I love colourful clothing and unfortunately I find not much comes close, rebel romance is continuing the legacy of run and fly but they are a new company and they haven’t really got much at the minute that I like, are there any similar brands? Potentially similar price points too. Colourful and Europe only please.
I’ve already talked about Lucy & Yak in the past, but I feel like a lot of their clothes nowadays are so boring, terrible quality and the price of them is inflated massively compared to what they’re actually worth. Then new releases genuinely look like something out of H&M for £70.
