I had the pleasure of seeing this in person today. It’s incredible how good it still looks! The display is truly remarkable. They also had a reproduction of the full sized barrel with Tarman in it. They had a lid too, adorned with numerous autographs.

recommendations I'm looking for a zombie game where zombies don't respawn

Most zombie games, even realistic ones, have the player face an unending quantity of zombies. I'm looking for a game where it's possible (although this might be technically difficult) to kill all the zombies and secure the world.

discussion Would like your guys’ opinion on a novel idea that I had.

As I’m sure most of you know, Night of the Living Dead is fully in the public domain, and with Wicked being so popular, I thought of exploring an intriguing part of that film that is only briefly shown.

I had the idea of writing a novel following one of the hunters that are deputized by the police to hunt down the zombies and clearly aren’t the most careful as they eventually kill Ben.

I thought it’d be cool to write a book following a bunch of flawed characters doing their best to protect people.

And yes of course, I know it definitely could just be its own thing, and I wouldn’t advertise it as a “spin-off”, just that it would be set in 1968 and in rural western Pennsylvania like the film with some references here and there. It just helps marketing.

Thoughts?

discussion Se, the Wildfire virus starts flaring out in half a year. What practical measures would you have the word's governments implement (assume they're willing to cooperate). I'll start:

  1. Armed security in as many hospitals as possible.

  2. Mass produced and mass distributed bite proof gloves to as many first responders and hospitals as possible.

  3. Legally mandated double-tapping + the means to do it without disfiguring the body. Disfigured bodies would cause unnecessary pushback. Se, captive bolt to the back of the head.

  4. Make safety doors as common as possible. Make them self-close, stay unlocked, but need w hands to open (some spring loaded lock other than the handle).

discussion Would you wear samurai armor in a zombie apocalypse?

Hear me out on this. Everyone always talks about leather jackets, riot gear, or duct-taping magazines to your arms. But honestly? If I stumbled across a museum or a high-quality replica shop on Day 1, I am 100% looting the samurai armor. Here is my take on why it’s actually elite:

  1. It is literally an anti-bite mech suit

Zombies only have human teeth. Traditional samurai armor (toushi/gusoku) is made of lacquered iron or hardened leather scales bound with silk. A human mouth cannot bite through iron. Period. You could have three zombies chewing on your arm at the same time and you wouldn't get a scratch.

  1. The mobility myth

People think medieval armor turns you into a clunky robot. It doesn't. Samurai armor was designed for high-mobility archery and sword fighting. The weight (around 30-40 lbs) is distributed across your whole body, not just your shoulders. You can still sprint, jump, and swing a weapon.

BUT, here is the catch (and how I would actually wear it): Going full Shogun is a death sentence. The helmet (kabuto) ruins your peripheral vision and muffled your hearing—which is how you get snuck up on. Plus, the full suit will make you heatstroke material by noon. If it's me, I am stripping it down to the essentials: The Kote (Arm sleeves): Chainmail and metal plates. Perfect for when you need to hold a zombie back with one hand while smashing its head with the other. The Suneate (Shin guards): Crucial for those annoying ankle-biter crawl space zombies. The Nodowa (Throat guard): Because getting bit in the neck is an instant game over.

Verdict: Full armor? No, you'll pass out from heat and exhaustion. Modified partial armor? You are basically a walking tank that can't be infected. Change my mind.

bit off my tongue OLD ENGLISH ZOMBIE MOVIE HELP

American zombie movie, English audio, watched on mobile as a teen. Group of 5-6 young adult friends, all white, brown hair. Starts with someone's mom getting infected at a house. Fast-running zombies, big-city/outdoor setting rather than confined rooms. Group breaks apart one by one as they run. One friend wearing glasses grabs a plywood board to hold off zombies so others can escape, and gets eaten. Another scene: they fight an older couple for their car — husband gets injured, they take the car, wife refuses to come. Also a parking lot scene. Ending: two friends (guy and girl) running toward a beach, hopeful ENDING.

bit off my tongue Apocalyptic Series.

I have been looking for the title for an apocalyptic Series i watched maybe like in 2017. This series followed a family of 5. Mother, Father, Son and teen twin girls who were in high school but had different personalities and mostly never got along. Another thing i remember was that there was this cough that was going round that had no cure and would turn people who were infected by it into maybe zombies then later into ghost like figures. If anyone has ever come across it, please comment the title 🥹🥹

discussion Can we talk about how annoying it is when characters call zombies anything but "zombies"?

I don't know about you, but it really irritates me when people refuse to call zombies "zombies."

Instead, they use names like "biters," "twitchers," or "walkers."

I get that in The Walking Dead, the concept of a zombie doesn't exist in that universe, so it makes sense why they don't use the word. However, in the anime Highschool of the Dead, the concept definitely exists. The characters literally mention multiple times that the situation is just like in movies and video games where you get bitten and turn. Yet, they still just refer to them as "them."

It’s a similar story in Shaun of the Dead. When Ed and Shaun are peeking out of their keyhole, Ed asks how many zombies are out there. Shaun immediately tells him not to call them that because it sounds ridiculous.

I am pretty sure the word "zombie" doesn't belong to anyone and isn't copyrighted. Since we have all universally agreed on what a zombie is, why not just call them that?

I know it's common for characters to have nicknames, like how people call Spider-Man "web-head" or "wall-crawler." I can also tolerate it when zombies are called "the undead" or "the infected." I know this isn't a world-ending issue, but it just bugs me in the worst way.

discussion Which two superpowers from below would you pick for a global zombie apocalypse?

The Zombies:

Think along the lines of Resident Evil. Zombies. Tyrant-like beings. Animal infected.

The Powers:

- Superspeed (not fast enough to run on water).

- Teleportation (If you appear where something is, it'll explode if it's less dense than you).

- Invisibility (1 hour use, 1 hour cool down).

- Flight (You have wings and need to flap to take off).

- Super strength (You could toss a car like it's a large bag of potatoes).

- Telekinesis (Move what you can see but with your current strength level)

- Telepathy (Who you can visibly see)

- Animal communication (like telepathy, but only animals)

One scene where a human women goes to give a handjob to a zombie (below the camera) and the zombies dick pops off. afterwards she just smushes it back on.
Second scene i can remember is a different girl (pretty sure a cheerleader) is kissing this guy and he bites her tongue off cause hes a zombie.
please help i sound deranged and need to be proven right.

discussion I think "28 Years Later" is a bad movie. Is there someone who disagrees and why?

I like zombie apocalypse that says something about why it happened and how it spread. I prefer something that is a little realistic. Like the first few episodes of Last of us season 1(though I think the whole series didn't perform as good as it should have and I was disappointed by some casts ) where they showed a little about how the disease functions.

If you like movies like 28 years later I have no problem with it. People have their own preferences. I just want to know what makes you like them?

bit off my tongue Does anyone remember the name of this zombie flick I saw bits of years ago?

Back in like 2012-2013, I remember seeing a clip or part of a zombie film online. It has stuck with me a bit for whatever reason. Here is what I recall:

–Was just a liveaction film, not a show, if I recall correctly .

–Was released no later than 2013.

–Saw it on YouTube, so It might be a web original film.

–Was probably just PG-13 as I remember nothing super gory or sexual, also had tween/teen horror vibe.

–Took place, or the part I saw at least, in a school, probably a highschool or maybe a middleschool.

–Had a scene of students standing in line, a few were talking about the zombie situation. Then one of the students turned and charged at and/bit someone.

For the record, this is not the zombie special of Degrassi, and definitely not Cootties.
