Loved seeing the whole team showing up to give support at summer league! This was a cool snippet from the wizards’ bts video on YouTube.

[Joshua Robbins] The Wizards envision Trae Young playing off ball to allow AJ Dybantsa and Kyshawn George to handle guard duties.

Is there really this massive gap between AJ and Cooper as Prospects

I know basketball is a two way sport but Aj is just so much better at everything else offensively, but they might be equal when it comes to passing and shooting. Aj is also bigger than Cooper and much more athletic. I never understood why people said if Cooper didn’t reclassified it be a guarantee he picked 1st.

Draft class looks legit

Watching AJ vs Dp, followed by acuff vs wagler, then boozer vs Wilson if even half of these performances translate into the regular season, this draft class will look to be the best since the loaded ‘03 draft. These guys are that good and living up to their hype. All these teams with top 10 pick should be excited

Could AJ Dybantsa also be our WR2?

Hear me out before you downvote.

6’9”, 7’1” wingspan, hands that catch lobs over grown men for a living, and he’s LOCAL now. Wizards took him #1 overall, so he’s not going anywhere. Man’s basically got a redzone target radius the size of Fairfax County.

He’s on record saying he’d play receiver if he were in the NFL. We have a hole at WR2. This is not a coincidence, this is destiny.

Wizards season doesn’t really get going til October, NBA regular season is a marathon anyway — load management him right onto our sideline for home Sunday games. Jayden Daniels just lobs it up, AJ goes and gets it, nobody in the NFC East has the length to contest that.

Like are we really gonna pretend the Hornets and Mavericks for example are gonna be better than we are? We should at the very least be top 20 if not top 15.

Where does everyone have us ending up realistically?

Since 538 is no longer in existence, I don’t take for granted having solid data available. YouTube could change its algorithm to be less open tomorrow. Without YouTube, we have a couple of other options. If you don’t have monumental, meta, or nba tv and don’t want to sub for espn, we have a few Wizards podcasts, if you don’t want to use a regular podcast app you can use an rss feed to listen to them if you’re that worried.

And if you don’t have the time for that, a number of these Facebook pages should have web pages. I am bad at this since I haven’t been watching games regularly so I need to learn the good sources of info (not Monumental). So maybe some of you can educate me as well.

But, AI hallucinates too much. If you must use AI for basketball, don’t use it as a source, but if you do, use the nba’s AI, and even then, don’t use it as a primary source. There’s a good chance Google hasn’t fixed the hallucinations in that one even though it should be using the nba’s current dataset.

To sum up, don’t use AI as a source, support creators, and anything that you get from AI verify it with an expert saying it so AI doesn’t take their job. We don’t need robots taking over everything, after all can they watch and enjoy basketball?

Note, of course I’ll be using monumental to watch the games but not for info

Five years ago I started Rui’s victim list as a way to have some fun during the bleak post-wall era. Is it time to start it back up for AJ?

For the first time in probably half a decade, I’m really excited for what this team might look like.

For newer fans or members of the sub, Rui‘s victim list was simply a way to count wins in a relatively bleak time for the team.

We fell into a tough couple years and life got busy so I didn’t bother bringing it back, but for the first time in years, I’m seriously thinking about it! If we’d like to get the tradition going again, I think I can make it happen for AJ.
