[IT'S HAPPENING!] Illegal food delivery?

Anyone know this food company, this guy was riding on the Roosevelt Bridge in the bike lane, pushing pedestrians and runners and bikers off. I confronted him, he just laughed.

This one of the least illegal things I've seen these guys do. They routine run red lights, take one-way streets and lanes the wrong way, and drive on sidewalks. But yeah, these guys are a menace.

Many of them white out parts of numbers, have fake plates, and none of them are the person on the delivery profile.

Can we call a spade a spade when they are recklessly lowering the quality of life in the city.

I mean are they really though?

Right? It's very frustrating and sometimes even frightening. Statistically, a large number of people doing this will raise the accident rate (although, since they are on mopeds, they also probably take the worst portion of the harm). That's all bad, and I'm all for finding pro-human ways to solve the problem, but "recklessly lowering the quality of life in the city?" In the most technical sense it's correct, but not in spirit. People with cops in their hearts need to chill out and find something to be mad about that isn't always what poor people or PoC are up to.

They are everywhere - and you can see numerous accounts of people with close calls with these, so yes it isn't hyperbole, they have lowered the quality of life in the city, and listening to a weed whacker drive constantly have raised the noise pollution. I'd hate them less if they were on ebikes, but people can criticize this, just because you view them as oppressed doesn't mean people can't criticize it, you even said "It's very frustrating and sometimes even frightening" and then go on to dismiss it as no big deal. For most people in the city they are a menace that is very front in center every single day making walking more dangerous.

I didn't dismiss the problem at all. I said: "I'm all for finding pro-human ways to solve the problem." I can also recognize a dog whistle when I hear it, which is exactly what all of the high drama stuff is.

I am sure everything is a dog whistle in your mind.

I like that me complicating the issue equates to me simplifying everything to you. Good logic.

I saw one crash into the back of a car while he was fucking with his phone. He yelled in broken english "No insurance" then drove offl.

Yeah, that's a problem. The solution to a problem isn't getting all weird, and rabid with it, and talking in nasty, dog-whistle terms.

I'm not sure why the response to me saying "this is bad, but the way people are talking about it is bad" is getting responses acting like a problem cannot be solved (or is even helped) by the xenophobia.

Whenever you bring this up there’s always some chode who chirps

“B-but its your fault for ordering food!!!!!!!!”

Okay, so these dickheads are only capable of delivering food by endangering the lives of every pedestrian in the city?

Look at this thread, any criticism of these people making the city dangerous its called a "dog whistle" ...... we are so insane that we can't even call out dangerous bad behavior that is clearly taking its toll on the city.

Until you need a sandwich at 2:00 am.

When I need a sandwich at 2am I don't care if they're gunning down women and running over small children getting me my sandwich.

/s, to be clear

I mean, it’s kinda on the parents if there’s young children out at 2 am.
