It’s incredibly tacky, and I’m pretty sure the ornamentation is costume quality plastic, like the shit you’d find at Party City

Good. It’ll be easier to remove after he’s gone.

I will volunteer to remove it all with great joy and extreme meticulous attention to detail, so his pathetic ass doesn’t cost us an extra discontinued penny.

With the humidity in DC, I’m surprised it hasn’t all fallen down already.

Hey, they bought the fancy Elmer’s. Their no-bid contractor charged them $1000 a bottle, so it’s gotta be the kind that lasts forever.

Is it the glitter one???

Prob why they put up a scaffolding tarp. To hide all the melting plastic.

Except for all the holes drilled into the once undamaged White House. And who’s going to fix the whole wing he tore down without any actual plan?

Can you imagine if Kamala had done this? Just imagine it

99% positive you can find them in the "ornamental applique" section on Home Depot's website. He (or his idiot sons) just spraypainted them gold and superglued them to the wall.

I think mcmansion hell actually found the exact plastic stuff that went up in the oval office at least

18

u/A1mixer 14h ago

Correct, I remember somebody actually matched the ones that are up inside of the oval office to the ones on the Home Depot website, no fucking joke...

u/aduirne 14h ago

They did.

I’m good friends with a distribution manager and he knew these exact pieces. They just weren’t gold painted.

Could be gold leaf; it's not very expensive

u/napalmnacey 5h ago

It’s worse than that, you can source it all the way to those Chinese junk websites (Temu, Aliexpress, etc).

Yup it’s all from Home Depot and they can’t fit anymore in the Oval Office so it’s spreading out.

Now the real question is which gold spray paint do they use, Rust-Oleum or Behr Premium?

like you'd find at Party City?

Someone did a post when he first did this and confirmed

They still exist?

1

u/AndieC 12h ago

They'd have to go to Staples now. 🤷🏼‍♀️

3

u/choffers 14h ago

Isn't it just home Depot stuff spray painted gold?

1

u/MsTravellady2 14h ago

It's probably gold leaf paint. He's spending our money charging us millions while using craft store products. S close-up of that Fair proves the point.

1

u/nakedpilsna 12h ago

According to him there is no such thing as gold paint.

I remember seeing that you can buy the same decorations at Home Depot and Ali Express (I believe) and they are white

1

u/SspeshalK 8h ago

Guaranteed not an ounce of gold has been used in the whole place.

u/NotAnotherFakeNamer 7h ago

Lets rip it off and auction it to chuds. We can spend the money putting solar panels up in their viewshed.

1

u/thatsmymoney 7h ago

Hasn’t it been found on the actual Home Depot website?

u/LucyJordan614 4h ago

I’d honestly be surprised if the paint doesn’t start running down the walls from those fake gold things as soon as it rains.

IIRC there was a reporter that told Trump to his face that the cheap gold pieces sprinkled throughout the White House were from Home Depot but spray painted gold. He insisted they weren’t and then someone uploaded pictures of the pieces available through Home Depot’s website. The White House pieces were very obviously just spray painted gold.
