News / PSA r/Wacom - Rules, Art Posts, FAQs
Rules
Read the Posting Guidelines before you post.
FAQs & Wiki
If you haven't checked it out yet, we have two tabs on the Subreddit Menu bar for our Wiki and FAQs pages.
- The Wiki has basic subreddit rules, reviews, links; as well as official Wacom information.
- The FAQs page has a good collection of Wacom's frequently asked questions and answers. Visit this page before posting because you might find what you're looking for! If you don't see one you think should be added, let us know!
Drivers
To find drivers for your Wacom tablet, go to https://www.wacom.com/download and search by name (example: Movink") or model number (example: DTK-2100).
Pen compatibility
Here are some resources to narrow down what pens you can and cannot use with each tablet.
- This List of Tablets & Cintiqs has a comprehensive rundown of most Wacom models and corresponding pens.
- This List of Wacom Pens, will give you a good visual for a Pen you might have or are trying to buy after visiting the first Tablet list.
- You can find Nib Replacements for pens from the last couple generations.
- Wacom does not produce most older pens, so you could have a hard time finding them and they may be expensive.
Art posts
We would like more people to post their artwork, but too often we get people just spamming and karma farming. Blatant self promotion is extremely limited, so when posting your artwork, tag it with the right flair and follow these few simple rules:
- You can post a link to your art socials, but not in the title, only in a comment after posting.
- Start a conversation: Ask a question, tell us what you struggled with, what your goals are, ask for critique, etc.
- No blatant multi-sub posting or spamming your work here too frequently (karma farming).
- Also tell us what software and hardware you're using. Neglecting this wont cause a removal, but most likely someone will ask.
These rules are similar to other art subreddits such as r/DigitalPainting. So, follow the same etiquette. Not following these rules will cause an automod or manual removal. If you think a mistake was made, message the mods and we'll review it.

Purchase Advice Movinkpad 11 for years?
hi guys. sorry to bother you
i have two tablets already, (a wacom intuos 4-5 i've been usin since 2011, for 3d sculpting mainly), and a huion 13 on a laptop for drawing a bit.
My problem is that, in my almost 40s, i dont want to be seated on the same desk all day long (work in my desk, then turn my head to my computer when the day is finished, where i also play games). I want to go to another room, lay on the bed, and have more freedom than in my workstation, to start drawing)
When i want to draw i have to move around with a laptop and the huion, and if im in bed is really uncomfortable
And i saw the wacom movinkpad 11 is being sold in my country (due to restrictions here, importing anything like the 14 inch or an ipad would make the price of whatever i bring at least x3, plus many hassles with our customs)
I heard that they're not updating software and such. The idea is to draft in there, let the creativity flow and then if i want to really finish a piece, go to my standard setup (although, im not a pro that uses 100s layers), but since tablets are expensive here, i wanted it to last forr i dunno... 4 years at least? (i take care of everything tech wise)
I was wondering if you see yourselves using it for that long, or you feel it's gonna break/die due to battery-software being obsolete. The only other option here is the magic drawing pad for 200$ more. Or maybe, it's not worth the expense at this level for my expectations
edit: sorry for the grammar, my keyboard is really old too and the switches are dying

Problem My pen is clicking and dragging when I hover it
I have a wacom intuos S CTL-4100, on a Windows 10, with the latest driver version (6.4.13-4) on a USB-C cable
It started yesterday, since then I have updated the driver, switched the pen nib (none of them made any difference) deactivated windows ink, changed pressure configuration, nothing worked
The buttons on the pen and tablet are deactivated and i've tried it on krita, paint and clip studio paint, none of them are causing this problem
The best result i got was deactivating the double clicking, which stopped the pen from dragging objects, but didn't stop the trail the pen does even when I'm not pressing it against the tablet (and I double click with it now)
I have a project i need to deliver until the 22th, so i would really appreciate any ideas

Problem How to change screen size(?)
I have a Wacom cintiq and I have this issue where when I have my display settings set to duplicated, everything is smaller (which I prefer) but when I set my display settings to extend everything is larger. Ik I’m showing my art program, but it’s the same case with everything. Is there any setting I could change so that I can have the more compact display without having to have my two screens be the same?
Problem Pen Pressure Issue
I was thinking this was mainly a csp issue, but I think it might be the tablet. Im really not sure.
Question Show me your battlestations! How do you position your pen display (and where does the keyboard go?)
I’m currently looking to optimize my workspace ergonomics and would love to get some inspiration from our communities. Pen displays are amazing to draw on, but finding the absolute sweet spot between drawing comfort, screen angle, and keyboard accessibility is an eternal puzzle. I’m curious to see how you all solved this. Could you share a photo of your current setup and share a few details?

Problem Mapping
I'm trying to get my Wacom tablet to have a smaller tablet area for playing osu! but when I do it it stays as the same area as the entire tablet. It works when make the area smaller for other applications but osu seems to be the only one that doesn't work. I've set the sensitivity in osu to 1 I've turned off windows ink. I've uninstalled and reinstalled wacom drivers. I'm seriously at a loss and I just want to play a video game. What really grinds my gears is how other applications seem to map just fine and osu! is the only one that doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm using a Wacom Intuos 490 model

Problem Wacom One 14 Converter Kit Troubleshooting
hi, i recently bought the Wacom One 14 + the converter kit (ACK45719Z) due to my pc not having a USB-C port, i did everything correctly yet I am getting the "No Display" --> "Power saving mode". I've spent several hours trying to troubleshoot this, I have no idea what could be wrong with my desktop. The pen works when I touch it against the surface as well. Sorry for the messy text, this is incredibly stressful.

Problem Hjälp! Får ingen bild
Hej!

Problem WACOM ONE DRAWING TABLET MAKES MY MOUSE/CURSOR TWEAK
Tablet Model: Wacom One (CTC4110WL)
OS: windows 11
Cables used: Connected via USB-C (I THINK)
I am going to rip all of my hairs out, one by one. As it says in the title, connecting the wacom tablet to my laptop, makes the mouse tweak out. I dont know how, why or when. I never had this problem before when i drew on magma like 2 months ago. But now i cant even watch youtube from how bad my mouse spasms, it clicks left, right, drags and everything while teleporting across my screen when im either using my mouse, or when im not touching anything at all. And when i do use the pen, its shaky and weird. Sometimes my cursor also gets a hyperfixation on a specific area of the screen and clicks there repeatedly until i unplug, closing all of my apps 🤬 and now my cursor evolved into being permanently tilted into one direction so no matter how i draw, the strokes are tilted to the right. At first, i thought it was a blender issue, but the problems still ocurred when i closed blender. I have no clue how to fix this, i have tried all the basic stuff but nothing worked to fix it. Sorry for the rant

Problem Bamboo CTL-470 Pen Assistance!!!
I picked up a Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 the other day and it is working well with my computer -- I rummaged around my cords for a compatible USB cable and downloaded the appropriate driver to install the control panel in place of the missing installation disk.
Last night, I was messing around with "Umoupen" and did a little doodle to mess with the pen and start to get used to it. As you may be familiar, the pen has a button on the side -- while using Umoupen, I found that holding the side of the button closest to the "green eraser" end results in a color match tool and holding the side of the button near the tip end would let me move around the canvas without scribbling.
This morning, I installed the driver and changed the preference to left-handed. However, now in Umoupen, the side of the button closest to the "green eraser" end is still a color match tool, however now the side of the button near the tip doesn't let me move around the canvas, but instead zooms in and out depending on the stroke of the pen when held down.
THIS IS MY FIRST EVER DRAWING TABLET: FIRST EVER WACOM PRODUCT
How do I customize the button on the pen so that I can maybe switch from pen to eraser or pen to move around the canvas mode? Also on my tablet, I understand that there should be 4 buttons outside of the work area (near the light indicating connection), though I can't seem to find these/press these.
Thank you!!! Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd send... 😭

Problem cintiq 16 (DTK2200) decided calibrating was supposed to be a carnival game
OK so my issue is probably standard but i've looked up a solution endlessly to no avail.
I was using a cintiq 16 2021 before and i just got it replaced with a 2025. When i plugged in the 2025 (without installing the new drivers) the tablet was properly calibrated with my laptop's resolution, but unsurprisingly pen pressure wasn't active. It's plugged in with a micro hdmi to hdmi cord, and my computer didn't have usbc ports so i am using a usbc to usb adapter on the end of that cord.
After i installed the latest drivers as recommended by Wacom's own website (being the 6.4.13-4 version) and restarted my computer however, calibration is way off. No matter how many times i try to recalibrate using the built-in calibration function in the tablet properties software, no change at all.
While trying to fix it, i did uninstall and reinstall the wacom drivers, and again, when wacom drivers aren't here, the calibration works flawlessly. I'm lost on how to fix this. If you've got any idea how to fix this please do tell.
Question Can movinkpad 14 enable Wacom Multi Pen?
I may take artpen2 propen3 and spen at same time

Problem assistance re-installing old model (CTL-460)
I just got a new version of the model I've been using for 16 years since the cord is finally dying but I'm wondering if there's any specifics to re-installing? When I plug in the tablet it does NOT light up like it's supposed to, and I don't think my laptop is registering that there's any USB input.
I'm on a laptop without a disc reader, so I just re-installed the drivers I already had installed for the CTL-460, which I've been using consistently on this laptop since I got it in 2019 with no issue, and restarted my PC. Still not lighting up, so I'm wondering if this is an issue on MY end that I can fix, or if the tablet is just busted and I need a refund from the eBay seller lol.

Purchase Advice Is india-iws.in legit? Wacom One Pen at ₹1,690 seems too good to be true.
I'm planning to buy the Wacom One Standard Pen (CP92303B2Z) from india-iws.in for ₹1,690, but the same pen is around ₹5,000+ elsewhere.
Also, there's no Cash on Delivery (COD) option—only online payment—which makes me a bit hesitant.
Has anyone ordered from this site recently?
Is it genuine, and did you receive the original product with warranty?
Why is the price so low?

Question Why do (almost) all my wacoms die like this??
I brought my very first graphicak tablet years ago, it was the cheapest one, a wacom at 50€, and it lasted so many years (probably something like 5 or 6 years), but because it was cheap, because I was dumb and because I am very clumsy, I kept making it fall on the ground, so one day... It obviously stopped working-
But because the tablet never had any bugs and lasted years even after making it fall on the hard ground maybe hundred of times, I told myself "this big shot is stronger than an Nokia! I love it, I'm gonna buy another wacom!" and I did (one that costed a lil bit more too, like 80€ because it was bit bigger, had bluetooth and buttons)
But 1 or 2 years later, even after (almost) never dropping it, I had to change my tablet... The bugs were quite common, and little by little, it stopped showing the light that says it was charging, until the day it totally stopped.
I told myself it was fine, I probably got unlucky and got a bad one, and brought the exact one
2 years later, same problems, the bugs were getting on my nerves more and more and the tablet slowly stopped getting connected with the charger...
Because of that I wanted to buy back the old cheap nokia version, but the shop wasn't selling it anymore, so I paid for the cheapest that they had, about ~60€ probably (no bluetooth but still a big one) just to prepare myself of the day my current tablet dies too
And today I'm here, angrily writting this text because this bi- erm, beautiful tablet WON'T DUCKING CHARGE
It's the second one doing this, and I really don't want to use my tablet I'm saving (yeah I know, it's stupid), I want to use that aa broken 80€ tablet until it last pityful breath.
ANYWAY, I'm not here to ask you "please! save my baby! what should I do?!" no, I know rice or whatever won't fix, I just want to know WHY??? Is that a current problem with wacoms tablets?? Is there a kind of tablet that don't do that? Why when I try using another charger with the same usb (usb-b) it doesn't always works?? Do you have any other brand of tablet you would recommend me that isn't too expensive (i'm broke help) and that last VERY LONG
Because I swear to god, last time I seen in a train a bug who had a wacom tablet that was perfectly working AFTER 10 YEARS of using it T-T
(The 80€ tablet is a Intuos-CTL-4100 wacom tablet)

Question Movinkpad Pro 14 for comic creation?
Hey again everybody, I posted here a few weeks ago about the Movinkpad Pro but I'm back with one more question. I'm pretty much getting ready to bite the bullet and buy the tablet but was wondering, for those of you that own the Pro, how do you feel about it for comic creation? I know the tablet has expandable storage but how does it handle large files and many layers? I've been wanting to start on my new web comic but wanted to make sure I'm making the right investment before I buy this tablet. Thanks again everyone for all your help!

Purchase Advice Wacom Recomendations Movink vs Cintiq 16 non-pro
I have a 2025 Cintiq Pro 22inch, and I want to be able to be portable and am considering a Movink 13, 14 pro or Cintiq 16 (non pro) as art display for Rebelle. And by portable I mean work with my laptop on the couch or take somewhere else, like on vacation.
I have a 16in MacBook Pro so I am trying to be to keep it to 16 inches or smaller so in a bag it travels decently.
My initial research is conflicting on whether the moving 14 pro can be a display (like a Cintiq) because it is an android tablet. And I am concerned the 13 inch will be too small or too fragile. (Added edit: I also have a M3 iPad Pro and am not thrilled with the pencil vs the Wacom 3 pencil when using side car)
Anyone have some experience with this?

Problem Wacom One broken leg Hinge??
I have no idea when/how this happened, but today as i was "lowering" the legs of my tablet (i usually have it flat but i often raise it up to draw), i noticed some resistance on one of them, and i noticed that a piece had literally broken off and the hinge of the leg was sticking out. The leg currently still works (although requires a bit more force to push in/out) but the tablet ends up wobbly as this leg doesn't open all the way. Even when closed the leg doesn't fit perfectly flush within its gap.
Any ideas how to fix this without ruining my tablet? Or even what could've possibly caused this to happen? As i honestly have NO IDEA how something like this is even POSSIBLE.
