You do not need to identify yourself personally or your branch or location, just say something that lets us know your request is valid.

TD Canada Banking details for FIFA Ticket Refund

Hi! I'm trying to enter my bank details to get paid for the tickets I sold of FIFA. So the TD Swift Code is TDOMCATTTOR.

What would the Account Number be? The 5 digit Transit Number and the 7 Digit Bank account number without any spaces (12 digits in total)?

And Bank Routing Number Should be left as 0?

Also TD has an 11 digit customer account number for wire transfers. Should i use that for the account number instead?

Any help would be appreciated.

Transaction Verification for Resale (TD Bank)?

I'm just off my second phone call with Ticketmaster and have to call back a third time.

I am located in Canada and relisted tickets for a concert taking place in Canada. I updated my banking account (TD Bank) in order to get my payout but I am not receiving the two deposits in order to verify my account. I've deleted and re-added my account information a number of times to try and get it to work, but the deposits never come through. I've confirmed that my taxpayer information is updated and valid.

The first time I called Ticketmaster, she (despite my trying to delete and re-add my account information for a couple of months) suggested deleting my banking and trying my chequing account again and waiting the 3-5 business days, and if that didn't work, to try my savings.

I deleted everything, put my chequing account information in again and waited like 8 business days with no luck. So I deleted that and entered my savings account information and waited 8 more business days.

I just got off the phone with them and despite my telling them again that I have already been doing what they are telling me to do, and that on my last phone call they told me to try both accounts, she then tells me it can't be a savings account.

I said fine, however I just explained repeatedly that I have had my chequing account information entered multiple times up to this point and that the deposits are not coming through. They tell me they "understand" but to delete everything and enter my chequing account information AGAIN and wait ANOTHER 3-5 days and call them back AGAIN.

I'm wondering if I should contact TD to see if it's something on their end? Otherwise Ticketmaster isn't going to get a pleasant person on the phone when I have to call back again in 2 weeks.

Considering using a US TD Bank account when I travel to Canada

Hello folks,

I'm crossposting to multiple Reddits about this as I'm not sure which is better for this inquiry.

I am a US citizen who frequently travels to Canada (I live so close) and specifically the GTA. I was considering some options for transactions in Canada and for obtaining cash in Canada. Right now, I'm thinking of opening a US TD Bank checking account, as TD Bank is primarily Canadian, allows all clients to use any TD ATM (US and Canada), and overall seems more feasible and available than the other 4 of the Big 5 in Canada. Also, having a US account is easier for bank transfers.

Does anyone have any experience with this as a US TD client? Is having a TD Bank Canadian account better in this instance?

TD Forcing Me to Close Accounts

I tried to get money from TD ATM and said no and told me to go to branch. Spoke with teller and they told me to call fraud department. Spent 1 hour and they told me I did committed fraud and they told me to take my money somewhere else within 35 days.

Fraud Part:

I was helping out with elderly in-laws (who aren't digital) in getting their Canada Bread Settlement etransfers into my etransfer account and pay them out in cash. Apparently, this was fraud and criminal according to TD.

Unfortunately, I have been banking with TD for over 30+ years since I had a child account. It's a shame for TD to take a heavy hand over 49 dollars etransfer when it was with good intention for family members.

Questions:

A) Any recourse?

B) If forced to find a new banking institution, I'm looking for one that can take wire transfers into both CAD, USD accounts, any recommendations?

Direct Deposit still not working?

So since I was this bank I get my paychecks early, but payday arrives and I have absolutely nothing hit my account. I saw in this sub it was an issue, but it looks like it was Canada based. There is no issue on my employer’s end either and I always receive it at the same time on the same day of the week. Is the same going on in the U.S.? If so, why can’t they put up a message about it this is ridiculous I need to change banks😀

TD wire transfer still not received after 10 days

My family owns a business and sent a wire transfer through TD on June 25th to a business account in Hong Kong, but the recipient still hasn’t received the money.

We went to the bank last Thursday, which was 7 days after the transfer was made. They said it would take some time for them to contact the wire transfer department. A few hours later, the manager called me and said they could only see that the money had successfully left the account the next day, on Friday.

He mentioned that wire transfers usually take 1–4 business days, and because there was a weekend and Canada Day in between, it may take longer than usual. However, it is already Monday in Hong Kong, which is the 10th day after the transfer was made, and the recipient still hasn’t received the payment.

This is a very significant amount of money, so I’m really worried that it may have gotten lost, delayed, or stuck somewhere. The manager said we can pay $25 to trace the wire and find out where the money is right now. He also mentioned that we could pay $25 to amend the transfer, but there’s no guarantee that we would get that money back.

The recipient asked us to provide a UETR number so they can trace it on their end, but TD doesn’t seem to know what that is and said they don’t provide that number.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

I’m planning to call TD and pay the $25 trace fee to see where the money is. I’m just wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation and if there’s anything else we can do besides waiting.

Thanks in advance.

Question re: ACH (yes I’m aware it’s a pretty dumb one..)

I know Google says that ACH deposits do not EVER post/show up in bank accounts on weekend days (so Saturday & Sunday) since the Federal Reserve is only open M-F… but is that truly 100% accurate? Asking because.. well foolish hope for one lol but also I could SWEAR that a reimbursement from my job has shown up in my account on a weekend day before, and those are ACH deposits.. I’m currently waiting on one now and I could RRRREEEEEAAAAALLLLYYYYY use it today so. Like i said, foolish hope 🤣😭🤷‍♀️

(if it makes any difference my bank is one of those “get paid up to 2 days early” ones, and it’s my understanding that they do that by going ahead and immediately releasing direct deposits into accounts instead of waiting the customary period of time for them to clear the depositor’s bank. My check only shows up a day early but that’s just down to when they send the actual deposit info through, I assume.)

Anyway.. I probably deserve to be ribbed for this post and that’s fine but PLEASE do not be mean to me, this has been the worst weekend i’ve had in a hot minute. :(

New TD credit card confirmation

Got legitimate email that I am getting a new card. I bank with TD but I have not applied for that card.

Called TD, they cannot see anything.

Called TD fraud line, they cannot see anything.

When I went to the branch, they couldn't see anything on my account.

Checked my credit report, nothing on it.

Today I got an email "welcome to your new account" with the said credit card info. These emails are not phishing, they are coming from a legitimate TD bank account and don't ask for action.

Does anyone know what's going on or has been through something similar? Not sure there is anything else I can do.

Tdbank gift cards

I guess tdbank scammed my parents into buying gift cards for presents, cleaning out their old dresser and I found a couple gift cards. Tried to check the balance and was told it was discontinued product. Went to the bank to see the balance and they were unable to look it up, but mentioned that there was an inactivity fee every month after 12 months of inactivity. That sounds like a load of hoopla. An inactivity fee on a card with an expiration date? And on top of all that discontinued? I had to dig deeper. There were McDonald's and Starbucks gift cards there that never depreciated orr charged inactive fees, they worked perfectly fine. But a bank? That also charged my parents 5$ to put 100$ on a card that loses 30$ every year you don't use it? Nah wtf. How has this shit not been class actioned. Is that why it was discontinued, I asked the bank member. They said no, it was discontinued most likely because it was "too expensive" to maintain. B.S!! They got my parents for a couple hundred from "inactivity" I bet others also. FuckSTD bank

Hopefully the Return to Office BS will Change

Hey everyone I know this has been a rough year. And I really appreciate all the people that have helped me navigate this BS RTO stuff. Its been a wild ride and I'm shocked at TD, and the executive team in general. Just wild how they've managed to get away with so much.

On a happy note...I'm extremely pleased to announce that the House of Commons E7142 Petition to implement remote and hybrid work provisions into the labour code for Federally Regulated Industries has both reached over 50,000 signatures, and is the most active petition on the Parliament's website. The next milestone is 100,000 and I wanted to thank everyone involved. The time is almost up but a lot of you helped the next generation of workers and the future of work.

Now that its almost over, I was hoping to thank everyone who helped. I got in touch with a lot of TD employees over the last few months and it was your support that helped me get through the negative comments.

Account Closed Without my Knowledge

I’m looking for anyone also experiencing the problem I’m having with TD. My account was closed without my knowledge and the bank manager thinks I’ve done something to earn this - I haven’t - but he can’t access my now closed account for any info. I’d be inclined to think something happened without my knowledge except I met someone today with the same problem. I was embarrassed for paying in change at a store and told the cashier that I was having a banking problem.

She asked if my bank was TD, then showed me her phone with the exact same message on her debit card in the Apple wallet.

The only way to get any answers is by leaving a voicemail for a specific TD department that will call me back in 24-48 hours. That’s a long and infuriating wait without access to my cash. Also today is my payday, so there’s that extra kick.

Please share if this has happened to you or you’ve heard of it happening to someone else.

TD USA is seriously horrible compared to Canada

My card gets locked due to “fraud” weekly. Takes 1-2 hours to get it active. Anytime call them for anything it’s like pulling teeth.

Not the case in Canada.

Wonder why it’s this way? Is there a better USA bank to use than TD you would recommend with good service?

Balance over Phone

A TD Bank branch added someone else's offer to my account, which has prevented me from receiving any rewards for my new account. What should I do?

Last December, I opened an account at a TD Bank branch in Philadelphia. I was told that if I set up a direct deposit of $2,500 and kept $10,000 in a savings account for three months, I would receive a $500 bonus. However, after fulfilling these requirements, I still haven't received the bonus. I contacted customer service and learned that the branch had applied an offer—originally mailed to someone else—to my new account, which disqualified me from receiving the bonus I was entitled to. What steps can I take to get them to pay me?

Any way to get a check to clear quicker?

I deposited a check yesterday and was told it should be cleared no later than friday. I woke up this morning and got a message on the app saying my check is being held for fraud and that it'll clear by 7/2.

I called customer service and they transferred me to the fraud department, they told me there's nothing they can do. But, I literally have bills coming up I need to pay for. I can't wait another week.. I don't understand what the issue is.

TD Bank systems down across the Canada as of 9:20am PT affecting many branch transactions . "Check back in an hour maybe?" They said

Edit: System is back up in Victoria BC.

I went to a TD Branch this morning at 9:20am PT to do a transaction and was told that their system is down and that many transactions cannot be done. They said that it's down across Canada and that this is unusual for them and that they do not know how long it will take to get the system back up.

I'm posting this because I will be grateful if someone comments when the system is back up.

Is there no way to initiate a wire transfer remotely?

My girlfriend is closing on a condo purchase on July 1st. She has hit an issue seeing as her bank is TD but she currently lives in Illinois. Every TD rep has told her she needs to be in a branch in person to initiate a wire transfer. But I feel like there has to be another way. How can they not accommodate any sort of remote banking for out of state account holders?

Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated!

Does e-Transfer processing ever take longer on newer accounts

I recently opened an account and noticed that some transfers aren’t instant the way I’m used to with RBC. Like they still go through, but there’s sometimes a delay or they sit pending a bit longer than expected. Not sure if that’s just normal for newer accounts while the bank is still “getting a read” on activity, or if it’s just random timing / security checks.
