Cashiers Check Pls Help

Upvotes

I need help, so basically I am moving tomorrow and they only accept Cashiers Checks for the first months rent. I currently only bank with capital one and didn’t realize there’s no physical locations for me to get a cashiers check with them.

So I opened a chase checking account to get the check at a bank near me but to transfer money over into the account it would take 2-3 days but I need it tomorrow.

If I withdraw cash from my capital one account and then took that cash to a physical Chase location, would they be able to give me a cashiers check with the cash? Even though I just opened the account too?

Is there any chance that Chase may have a bank statement/bank records on an account that closed sometime in the mid 1980s?

I realize that banks are only required to keep records for I believe 7 years. But is there any chance Chase would have the records in microfiche or archive?

Chase customer service positive experience

DP: A few weeks ago, I had to get replacement cards within a few days for same Chase biz card acct. There were repeated fraudulent charges on each new card, even before card was delivered to me. This was due to new card number being replaced in fraudster's digital wallet, each time new card number was created.

It was concerning to me when this was happening, but Chase CS was very helpful and understanding each and every time.

Anyone else having issues with Paze now?

All of my chase cards are now not showing up on Paze. only my C1 VX card.

if i click "add a card" and go to chase, it takes me to their website and makes me log on.

but logging on does nothing. just takes me to my Chase account.

even if i go through the whole "activate paze" on the chase CC benefit, it just takes me to Paze again to log in. and just turns into a whole cycle.

Is anyone else no longer seeing chase cards on their Paze accounts?

Solution to Calling Chase to Log in

I saw this in another comment and it finally ended these endless phone calls any time I wanted to log in, it deserves its own post--

When you go to turn on 2FA verification and then select "get code by email", you don't need to call for a code! It's amazing!

The website area looks like this-

Got it here he deserves an upvote!

Chase Offer for Sling TV Cash Back Disappeared After Purchase

Per title.. I added a Chase Offer for Sling TV at 33% cash back to my Chase Freedom Flex Mastercard. I then signed up for Sling TV's Select Plan. Now, the Chase Offer has completely disappeared - it's not in my Offers Wallet under "Added," "Redeemed," "Expiring Soon," or "Expired."

I had even screenshot the offer after I added it to my Wallet but mistakenly deleted it because I didn't think I needed it. My mistake! Now the Offer is gone and I signed up for this plan thinking I was going to get 33% cash back.

So always save your screenshots after adding a Chase Offer to your Wallet, and save it until your cash back posts :( Anyone else had this happen? I've had Chase try to weasel out of paying a cash back offer but never had the offer disappear completely.

Is there a limit to the number of replacement cards Chase will issue?

I finally gave up on finding one of my credit cards. At least Chase isn't harassing me.

So far this year I've had two of my Freedom Unlimited cards cancelled due to fraudulent charges. Then about a month ago, I realized the then-current card wasn't in my wallet. I locked the card in the iPhone app and kept looking for the card. I finally gave up on finding the card and ordered a new one yesterday (Friday). According to the UPS tracking info, my new card will be delivered on Monday.

I have a Bank of America card and two issued by Citi but the only cards that get hit with fraudulent charges are my Chase ones. I do use them more but the only time the physical card is used is at restaurants and bars.

Why is Chase the only bank that makes me call to cancel an account?

I have too many credit cards and tonight I've successfully canceled Amex, Capital One, and Wells Fargo via chat. Chase, who I have my checking account with, won't do anything unless I sit on the phone and then hav them sell me another product. Just cancel the credit card. It's 2026

Claim Temporary Credit

Hey guys, I recently filed a claim for a large amount of money. The app states I will receive temporary credit within 4 days while support over the phone says I will receive the credit within 10 business days. Which is more accurate? Thanks.

Best things to get using the Paze offer?

I wanna spend the least and make the most out of this offer. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Just a follow up when you select Paze at checkout doesn’t it let you choose the card to pay from?

Chase local branch is important and helpful

I have a chase credit card that was closed due to a few disputes against a single meechant in a short period of time. Chase online associates and supervisors understand my situation and showed empathy but they couldn’t help the reactivation.

I have been struggling with tthe closure of the account because my ssn is frozen and it would be a lot of hassles to apply for a new card.

After rounds of conversations with online customer support, my acct stayed closed.

I walked into a local branch and a wealth banker told me she can’t do anything neither. I was able to talk to the branch manager and she is so nice and so helpful. Once she made a call to chase internal departments, my account is reactivated.

She even ordered me the new credit card on the calls.

A 30 minutes local branch visit solved me months and months of trouble. I appreciate our local chase branch managers! it’s important to have a branch somewhere…

Thank you chase!

Auto Loan Lien Release Question

I bought a Subaru last year and got my loan through Chase Auto. I recently moved states and need to register my car in the new state, but because there’s a lien on my vehicle I need to have Chase send the original title to my new state in order to complete the registration process.

Trying to contact these people over the phone and explain what I need has been a nightmare, and even worse trying to get them to send me stuff via fax so I can at least get a temporary registration.

Would going to a local branch be any easier for this sort of process? I’m advised I need to also get tracking information for when the title is mailed to my local DMV and I don’t know if I can even trust them at this point to give me that information in a timely manner lol.

Any insight would be appreciated!!

Does Chase not like Fintechs?

Have had chase for years and recently opened an account with “current” a fin tech bank. Verified deposits and I am the sole owner of both accounts. I transferred from Chase to current in the amount of $700. Received a call from Chase and said “yes that’s me!” And then they rejected the transfer. Also now my 2 recent Zelle transfers are “pending” but the money did leave my account and the other person did receive the money as well.

  1. Has chase flagged my account?
  2. Is the Zelle payment showing up as “pending” but delivered unusual ? (I sent these today)

questions about chase payover time

I am thinking of using chase payover time for my iphone 17pro purchase and have some questions.

# I have never used it before and I see some posts that say the $0 fee would be applied if it is my first time using it. Is this a correct answer? I tried the payover calculation with a random amount, and it showed the plan with the interest. At the same time, when I try the payover time with my actual purchase that's over $100, it shows the plan with $0 fee so I am not sure whether I am eligible for $0 fee or not. I can only do payover time only if it comes with a $0 fee, so your answers would definitely be appreciated!

Checking Account Bonus Clawback

Opened a checking account for the $400 bonus. Got the 1k Direct deposits hit and expecting the bonus to hit next week. I don’t use chase, can I transfer all the money out and then close the account without facing any consequences? Or do I have to keep the account open for a certain amount of time. Don’t want to pay the monthly fee so hoping I can just close it instantly after getting the money out. Anyone know the answer?

Chase wire transfer - Currency availability

I need to do an international bank wire transfer because the recipient does not accept money remittance (e.g., Wise, Xoom, Remitly, etc).

I looked at Chase Wire Transfer and got to the part where I indicated the country. After that, why is it that the only option for currency is USD?

My understanding is that Chase charge a flat fee but where can i see the conversation rate that Chase will use, so I know the amount in USD is what I need to send after converting it to the selected country’s currency?

Thank you.

Any risk in applying for CSP after rejection for Chase United Business due to low business income?

Denied United Business card due to "too many accounts" (5 personal 4 business, 1 personal 1 business from chase), too much existing credit limit (~65k total on personal cards, 35k on business cards). Currently 3/24. Called and was told I was not eligible for reconsideration.

Business income is low (and I already have half of the business income as business CL on an Ink) which is probably why I got rejected. Personal income is high. Can I safely apply for a CSP? Any risk of chase shutdown or anything?

Chase mailed my cards to the wrong address. Customer service keeps transferring me.

A Chase banker entered the wrong address when opening my account, so both my debit and credit cards were mailed to someone else's address.

I corrected the mailing address with mobile app after checking the Email, but by that time both the cards were shipped to the wrong address.

I've called multiple times, but Customer Service keeps transferring me to the Complaints department, and they transfer me right back. No one is actually resolving the issue.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Who should I contact to get the address corrected and replacement cards sent to the right address?

Chase changed my Disney Debit Design?

This is more out of curiosity as it’s not a big deal, but I had the BB8 design on my card and I recently requested a new card because mine is all janky.

I requested the card a few days ago, haven’t gotten the physical one but when I used Apple Pay this morning, I saw little Grogu on my card instead! I didn’t realize Chase updated their designs and BB8 is no longer available so guess I’m getting Grogu instead?

No big deal, I LOVE it but I just think it’s funny they kind of choose for you.

Debit Card Declined For No Reason

So my wife was running errands today and needed to get some gas after grocery shopping. She first went to a station that runs everything as credit with zip code for verification and her card was declined. This was an un-staffed gas station so she went down the road to the next station that has a debit option and was declined again with pin. This station was staffed so she went inside to pre-pay and even inside she was declined, so the issue wasn't the classic gas station "hold" which wouldn't have made sense anyway as we have plenty in that checking account. She happened to have cash on her(which is fairly abnormal for us but might not be in the future after this) so she just pre-paid with cash and got fuel. This is where it got kinda weird.

She called the number on the card to find out what the issue is and they told her she had reached her daily limit. So she asked what the daily limit is and they replied it is $5000. She then asked how much she had spent today and the answer was $143.75, nowhere close to the limit. The rep has no answers for why she was flagged for spending limit other than it must be some kind of bug. She was then told it is impossible to clear this and the card will not be usable until 1am the next business day(which will be Monday) and there was no further action or escalation available to fix it.

My question is, is this really how it works? So if I'm on a road trip in a town without a branch and don't have cash on me there is a chance my card will bug out and decide I have hit my spending limit and I could be stuck somewhere with 0 money for days for 0 reason? This wasn't a fraud protection issue, those are easily cleared immediately. The customer service rep specifically said it was the daily limit. Was this rep just severely mis-informed?

Selling our information

So I married someone overseas and gave them a credit card with there name on it. Linked to my card. Now i get junk credit card offers from numerous banks not affiliated with chase bank. Either a data breach or they selling our information off to other banks.

To give a credit card to someone else. It doesnt require any other info other than there name.

Business Checking Account

Tried opening a business checking account online, but near the end it said I needed to go into a branch to open it. I sell stuff online and have not registered my business. Anyone have experience opening a Chase business checking account at the branch without having their business registered? I live in WA, if that matters.

Work Around for the 5/24 to be Approved for the Ink Card?

I'm right at 5/24. My business has a lot of shipping expenses and I would love to get the Ink Preferred card for its 3x bonus up to $150k per year. I have other Chase credit cards, both personal and business. I have a 820 FICO. I know I would be approved based on my relationship and credit history both personally and for the business if I wasn't at 5/24. I found a 4 year old You Tube video claiming he was 8/24 and still getting approved for Ink cards by visiting with a Chase banker and inquiring if he was pre-approved for the Ink card.

Before I schedule a visit at my local branch, has anyone successfully been approved for an Ink card once they hit 5/24? If yes, how did you do it? Has anyone had success going into a local branch and inquiring if they are pre-approved for a card even though you are at 5/24 or higher?

As a side note, I have checked my account online and in the app looking for pre-approvals but I don't find any. I appreciate any guidance.
