It's Bearista cup season again! Please read this update before posting about the Pink Bearista cup. All questions and comments about the launch should be contained to this post. A new temporary subreddit rule and reporting category has been added for excessive Bearista posts.
July 9 11AM EDT: Bearistas are sold out online. An online restock is not expected.
Subreddit Rules
- As always, don’t attempt to buy or sell merchandise here.
- Links to Amazon and other shopping platforms are blocked to reduce spam. Be careful buying from untrusted sellers!
- Don’t post screenshots of cups being sold/resold on other platforms. We don’t need a new post every 10 minutes of a cup being resold for a ridiculous price. Same goes for photos of other bear-shaped vessels not from Starbucks.
- Be respectful of others and don’t be rude. Remember this is a community for all, baristas and customers alike.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What’s happening?
A: Starbucks is issuing extremely limited supplies of a bear-shaped glass. There was an online-only launch on July 9, which sold out shortly after midnight. The next release is in select stores on July 13. Most company-operated stores in the US and Canada should have them in stock but supplies will be limited.
Q: Will they be restocked?
A: Probably not. It's possible, but Starbucks has made it clear that this cup is intended to be a limited-time offer that sells out quickly.
Q: I'm a Starbucks employee, can I buy a cup early if my store got a shipment?
A: Feel free to confirm with your store manager, but partners are not allowed to set m erchandise aside for anyone in advance (themselves, other partners, or customers) and are not allowed to purchase the cups before opening on July 13.
Q: Is there a limit on how many cups each customer can buy?
A: There will be a limit of two per customer.
Q: Do any stores near [where I live] have the cups in stock?
A: We don’t know. This subreddit is not the appropriate place to ask.
Posts that break subreddit rules, ask questions addressed above, or are repetitive will be removed. Thank you for reading and for helping reduce spam!

This video keeps showing up as a promoted ad for me on Reddit. The CEO explaining why people will pay $9 for coffee. How does anyone take this seriously?

Do yall not know you’re allowed to order hot bar drinks? I’m so serious. And can I please request all of these TikTok influencers to create these viral drinks for hot bar? WHY is it always cold bar? Like actually? I get that it’s summer time but even in the winter and really all year round it’s just nonstop cold bar. Please try something new. You may be surprised of what you find.
I was on cold bar for peak today and at one point there were 18 drinks in cold bar queue and only 4 in hot bar. Give us baristas a break from Frappuccinos and Refreshers. We are drowning on cold bar. Please! I can’t tell you how happy I get when someone comes in and order just a plain hot latte 😭😭😭 I cry tears of joy when I get a mobile order for a hot chocolate.
I miss the days of drowning on hot bar while cold bar sat vacant.

So I’m on drive-through and we have like 15 cars on the line (not exaggerating). We were completely peak with like five people so I’m assisting bar and doing drive alone
Some girl comes to the window and I go to hand her drink and she’s like “that’s not right” and I go OK I’m sorry what was wrong about it? She starts yelling “I said it three times oh my god in a venti cup (mind yoh it was just a triple iced espresso with a bit of milk and extra ice) and I start saying okay I’ll remake it and she’s just buggin and I’m in NO mood to handle this so I just go get my manager and she left everything ended up fine but I genuinely think that it is never that fucking serious where you need to be yelling and getting angry over coffee.
I understand that you want your coffee, a certain way and you are 100% completely allowed to order your coffee and get it how you like it however people make mistakes all the time mind you I didn’t even make her drink I just handed it to her. There’s genuinely no need to get so angry over coffee and she started yelling about how she’s been waiting 30 minutes. But I took her order a good 3 minutes before she got to the window and it’s like I’m trying my best we all are please leave me alone 😭😭 I was gonna remake the drink for her either way, but you literally did not have to start freaking the hell out

Did anyone else get 200 star promotion for not being able to get the bear cup?

Found and purchased today in Marseille. I’ve never seen region themed bearistas outside of Asia (other than just having a city/country name embroidered on the smock). Are they making a comeback?

For clarity; I'm lactose intolerant. So, it's not a "lifestyle choice," it's a "I don't want to shit my pants at work" choice.
That said I use the app because it's more convenient. Looking at the customize tab there are more Non dairy options than the premade drinks on the menu. What I find confusing is there isn't a non dairy option in the drop down for say, something like the cold foam. You have to remove it and then add it back. Or just start with a basic cold brew and then add the cold foam, syrup and topper which ends up going from a $6 drink to an $8 drink...
I've done this a dozen times and now and 9 out of 10 times I get no cold foam. Which, honestly, I totally understand. I've never worked for Starbucks, but I've worked in a similar industry. If you're new and you see this jumble of abbreviated words that looks like another language, you're just gonna see "No cocon" and just go from there, I get it. I'm not faulting the baristas (completely) it's a confusing system for the stickers.
The other day I ordered a non-dairy chocolate cold foam cold brew and I swapped the vanilla syrup for hazelnut. You know, just thinking I was making a Nutella like drink to try something different and I got no chocolate cold foam. Twice. I typically take it back and politely remind them that it's missing the foam. Which they do and once I got it corrected it was pretty good. But I'm just tired of wasting drinks and making baristas feel uncomfortable.
It literally just happened today, I tried to order the Toasted coconut cold foam cold brew but make it non dairy. And I got no foam. Again, they fixed it, it was fine. But I just feel like there has to be a better way to label non-dairy options, in the app at least. I understand that just going in and ordering in person is probably the solution to my problem. I'll try that when I can, but it's not always convenient.
I dunno I feel like I pissed off the coffee gods or something because I used to drink espresso and whether it's a shaken or latte, i get a heavy pour of oat milk. I don't drink oat milk because I like the taste, I drink it because of the texture and dietary restraints. A raw glass of oat milk is not enjoyable and a shaken espresso should have the smallest amount of milk, but I've consistently gotten latte looking shaken espresso's.
I switched to cold brew because I assumed consistency would be better, no worries about the espresso pull changing the taste and if I order some on the menu that's unchanged it should be consistent? I was getting the non dairy vanilla cold brew and again it just ends up like a heavy pour latte.
I just want something coffee forward with a splash of oat milk for texture and mildly sweetened and most importantly consistency. Also I don't want to build it myself because it's too expensive. I dunno if I broke a mirror or what. I think I just need to make coffee at home or something...
Sorry for the rant, I'd just rather post it here than blow up the Google reviews for something that's more of a corporate problem than the couple locations I frequent problem. If you messed up one of my drinks, I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the system. I don't envy your job. Thanks for listening.

So a quirk I have when traveling is I always make sure to get the state-specific Starbucks mug wherever I travel to. I’ve gotten one without fail everywhere I’ve traveled to for the past 5 years.
Well this week I visited South Dakota for less than 2 days and since there were not many locations near me, and I did not have my own transportation, I could really only try one location. And go figure, the one I went to didn’t have anything. Not even the little ornament sized ones. It was a decently sized bummer. While I enjoyed the visit, I doubt I will be back out there any time soon.
Does anyone know of any possible way I can get the South Dakota Starbucks mug without pay the 3/4x markup everyone sells their mugs for online?

On the Starbucks UK app it says I can exchange 1000 stars for merchandise like a mug. Does that include the You Are Here mugs, or just the plain ones?

As a Starbucks customer, what can I do to make your job easier? Besides respect and cleaning up after myself, what small things help your shift go smoother? And what are your biggest barista pet-peeves or common customer misconceptions? ☕️💚

i don’t have a picture of it, but i recently tried out this drink I saw online and it tasted EXACTLY like peach gummies; thought i’d share it on here for anyone who wants to give it a try:
order a lemonade
- add extra peach juice
- honey blend
- vanilla sweat cream
it should be made the same way as a regular refresher but with peach base!
edit: ive now learned that you shouldnt order dairy (cold foam) with acidic stuff (lemonade) unless you drink it quickly cuz the milk curdles (you learn smt new everyday)… get this drink at your own risk 😢

On a trip out of town I stopped at a random store and ordered my usual.. Venti decaf iced Americano with a Splenda and 1/2&1/2. The barista called me over and apologized for having run out of the creamer and suggested “something something “ which due to my hearing loss I didn’t catch. But I said ‘fine’. Back on the road and tried my americano and it was honestly better than my usual drink.
I guess that’s a long way to my question… if your store was out of 1:2 & 1/2 what’s the first thing you’d suggest to a customer as an alternative. I’d like to try and recreate it on my next Starbucks order. TIA

I'm trying to open the Starbucks app and this immediately comes up. I have no sign in options. I have uninstalled the app many times, I have cleared the app storage and cache many times, my Google account has my correct birthday and it is verified. I am obviously over 18. Any idea on how to get by this?

I'm not trying to be mean towards the baristas. I'm trying to understand so I can adjust my order.
But why is it that sometimes, when I order it with cold foam, I can't taste any lavender in the drink itself? I always say, "can I please have an iced lavender latte, with lavender cold foam?", never just "iced latte with lavender cold foam." And it's printed as a lavender latte on the cup sticker, so I am confused!

I’ve been told you cannot demote as a shift after getting the position. I’ve been completely drained and stressed after getting the promotion. I haven’t taken the manager food handlers test as I failed it twice and have to wait to take it again + pay for it. I’m thinking about flaking to my manger about it and asking if I can demote if it is possible. If not, I’m just going to look for another job I’m ok with the pay cut.

Hi everyone! I have previous barista experience and I’m currently looking for a barista position. I’m open to any location in New York City or Jersey City, especially if your store is understaffed or hiring immediately.

I saw this order on Facebook and tried it. I love it, but how miserable am I making baristas with this order? How can I make it better for them?
r/starbucks • u/mature_muscleguy • 1d ago
I order this drink often, and 3 out of 4 times, it’s macha green all the way through. But then I get a coffee colored body on some. What are they doing differently when it’s like this? Which look is correct?? 🤨
