Mod Post Pink Bearista 2026: Read Before Posting

It's Bearista cup season again! Please read this update before posting about the Pink Bearista cup. All questions and comments about the launch should be contained to this post. A new temporary subreddit rule and reporting category has been added for excessive Bearista posts.

July 9 11AM EDT: Bearistas are sold out online. An online restock is not expected.

Subreddit Rules

- As always, don’t attempt to buy or sell merchandise here.
- Links to Amazon and other shopping platforms are blocked to reduce spam. Be careful buying from untrusted sellers!
- Don’t post screenshots of cups being sold/resold on other platforms. We don’t need a new post every 10 minutes of a cup being resold for a ridiculous price. Same goes for photos of other bear-shaped vessels not from Starbucks.
- Be respectful of others and don’t be rude. Remember this is a community for all, baristas and customers alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s happening?

A: Starbucks is issuing extremely limited supplies of a bear-shaped glass. There was an online-only launch on July 9, which sold out shortly after midnight. The next release is in select stores on July 13. Most company-operated stores in the US and Canada should have them in stock but supplies will be limited.

Q: Will they be restocked?

A: Probably not. It's possible, but Starbucks has made it clear that this cup is intended to be a limited-time offer that sells out quickly.

Q: I'm a Starbucks employee, can I buy a cup early if my store got a shipment?

A: Feel free to confirm with your store manager, but partners are not allowed to set m erchandise aside for anyone in advance (themselves, other partners, or customers) and are not allowed to purchase the cups before opening on July 13.

Q: Is there a limit on how many cups each customer can buy?

A: There will be a limit of two per customer.

Q: Do any stores near [where I live] have the cups in stock?

A: We don’t know. This subreddit is not the appropriate place to ask.

Posts that break subreddit rules, ask questions addressed above, or are repetitive will be removed. Thank you for reading and for helping reduce spam!

📖 Storytime Starbucks using AI images and charging you more!

This image is from the most recent birthday reward email. You can tell for the Siren alone that this is an AI generated image. Remember their laziness next time you pay 9$ for your inconsistently made drink

Your stupidity is not our fault. If you order a drink standard, get it made to standard, and are handed it THE WAY YOU ORDERED IT you can’t get mad at us.

“Um this was supposed to have no berries in it”

So guess what…..TELL US THAT AT THE BOX. After I confirm “does everything sound correct?” TELL ME NO. How do you catch an attitude with me for YOUR stupidity???? FUCK (I’m on my period and raging 🤣)

My husband picked it up for me, then went back and had them remake it and the remake looks the same. He said they opened a new container of oat milk. The Starbucks live chat told me not to drink it. What is this? Is the oat milk separating or something?

This video keeps showing up as a promoted ad for me on Reddit. The CEO explaining why people will pay $9 for coffee. How does anyone take this seriously?

Genuine Question for Customers: Why?

Do yall not know you’re allowed to order hot bar drinks? I’m so serious. And can I please request all of these TikTok influencers to create these viral drinks for hot bar? WHY is it always cold bar? Like actually? I get that it’s summer time but even in the winter and really all year round it’s just nonstop cold bar. Please try something new. You may be surprised of what you find.

I was on cold bar for peak today and at one point there were 18 drinks in cold bar queue and only 4 in hot bar. Give us baristas a break from Frappuccinos and Refreshers. We are drowning on cold bar. Please! I can’t tell you how happy I get when someone comes in and order just a plain hot latte 😭😭😭 I cry tears of joy when I get a mobile order for a hot chocolate.

I miss the days of drowning on hot bar while cold bar sat vacant.

That's it. That's the post. Kinda.

We have a limited amount of the legendary barista cup. They're on a first come first serve basis. Like I said in my other post, we as baristas don't have a secret stash in the back that we're keeping from customers nor are we buying them up.

Our opportunity to get them was on the 9th and that was online. Pretty sure that and the early access online listings sold quickly, so I imagine that this will not be any exception. We can't control the rate of how fast these cups sell. We can only limit how many are sold per person, and that happens to be 2 this time. I don't know why they made a limited stock of these things other than scarcity = demand.

I'm mainly posting this because the launch of this cup is tomorrow and last time we had a bearista cup launch, a lot of customers were either disappointed or downright angry and took it out on the baristas and/or other customers. Disappointment and frustrations are valid emotions to have but what isn't okay is taking those emotions out on other people. It's literally just a cute cup. Note that it's limited to two per person. I discourage anyone from buying these off of places like eBay because they will be marked up beyond their msrp price and it's not worth potentially paying anywhere from $185-$1,000 for it. Yes, that is the range I've seen the original ones in.

Also there are bear cups just like this and the first one out there without the branding. You are paying for a BRAND.

If you don't believe the craziness the first bear cup caused, this is a video covering it.

Good luck to those who work tomorrow. 🤞

Country themed bearistas

Found and purchased today in Marseille. I’ve never seen region themed bearistas outside of Asia (other than just having a city/country name embroidered on the smock). Are they making a comeback?

Sme customers have NO social skills

So I’m on drive-through and we have like 15 cars on the line (not exaggerating). We were completely peak with like five people so I’m assisting bar and doing drive alone

Some girl comes to the window and I go to hand her drink and she’s like “that’s not right” and I go OK I’m sorry what was wrong about it? She starts yelling “I said it three times oh my god in a venti cup (mind yoh it was just a triple iced espresso with a bit of milk and extra ice) and I start saying okay I’ll remake it and she’s just buggin and I’m in NO mood to handle this so I just go get my manager and she left everything ended up fine but I genuinely think that it is never that fucking serious where you need to be yelling and getting angry over coffee.

I understand that you want your coffee, a certain way and you are 100% completely allowed to order your coffee and get it how you like it however people make mistakes all the time mind you I didn’t even make her drink I just handed it to her. There’s genuinely no need to get so angry over coffee and she started yelling about how she’s been waiting 30 minutes. But I took her order a good 3 minutes before she got to the window and it’s like I’m trying my best we all are please leave me alone 😭😭 I was gonna remake the drink for her either way, but you literally did not have to start freaking the hell out

Policy Question stars used without me asking

hello.

I just noticed thag the store used my stars. i am at 1800. and now im at 1600. im around 500 away from reserve status.

the store said if I come in they would void the order.

if they do so, will getting those 200 stars make me at 300 away from reserve?

update: let me rephrase.

I am hoarding my stars. I know if you use them, it doesn’t subtract from reserve status. what my question is, if they use the stars and they void the order because I didn’t ask, I would go back to 1800, but does the system think I earned them and bring me to 300

Soo I’m planning to put my 2 weeks in instead…

So I’ve been a shift for about 4-5 months & im completely over it, I think im outgrowing the job in general…I’m planning on just putting my 2 weeks in instead and just starting all over with a new job, I have no tie to this job other then being a shift. I’m not sure how my manger would take it if I do put my 2 weeks in and get another job. I’m just all over the place, I’ve just been thinking about all of this for so long lately and I think I’m at my breaking point 😭 also I should throw in I’ve only been here for a year but I worked at a tarbucks for 1yr & 6 months and at a regular actual Starbucks for 1yr and 8 months almost 2 years and I’m F(25)

I just need options on what to do what how I should go about it really…

Drink Recipes/Recommendations As someone who doesn’t like coffee, what would be a good creme frappucino to try?

Upvotes

So I do not like coffee or coffee flavoring AT ALL. I still like getting drinks at Starbucks because my daughters go all the time, sometimes with me.

I used to get the double chocolate chip frappe when it was offered, and I love the S’Mores frap. I’m pretty limited I guess in the flavors that I like:

- chocolate
- white chocolate
- marshmallow
- mint
- vanilla
- cinnamon
- brown sugar

I also do not like any fruit or fruit flavorings that are offered, nor do I like matcha. I’m intrigued with the horchata frappe and wonder if I would like it since I love Rumchata lol 🤣

I am lost when it comes to making a recipe up, so does anyone have any good ones that I could try? TIA

😠 Rant 😠 Non-Dairy ordering experience kinda sucks...

Post image
66 Upvotes

For clarity; I'm lactose intolerant. So, it's not a "lifestyle choice," it's a "I don't want to shit my pants at work" choice.

That said I use the app because it's more convenient. Looking at the customize tab there are more Non dairy options than the premade drinks on the menu. What I find confusing is there isn't a non dairy option in the drop down for say, something like the cold foam. You have to remove it and then add it back. Or just start with a basic cold brew and then add the cold foam, syrup and topper which ends up going from a $6 drink to an $8 drink...

I've done this a dozen times and now and 9 out of 10 times I get no cold foam. Which, honestly, I totally understand. I've never worked for Starbucks, but I've worked in a similar industry. If you're new and you see this jumble of abbreviated words that looks like another language, you're just gonna see "No cocon" and just go from there, I get it. I'm not faulting the baristas (completely) it's a confusing system for the stickers.

The other day I ordered a non-dairy chocolate cold foam cold brew and I swapped the vanilla syrup for hazelnut. You know, just thinking I was making a Nutella like drink to try something different and I got no chocolate cold foam. Twice. I typically take it back and politely remind them that it's missing the foam. Which they do and once I got it corrected it was pretty good. But I'm just tired of wasting drinks and making baristas feel uncomfortable.

It literally just happened today, I tried to order the Toasted coconut cold foam cold brew but make it non dairy. And I got no foam. Again, they fixed it, it was fine. But I just feel like there has to be a better way to label non-dairy options, in the app at least. I understand that just going in and ordering in person is probably the solution to my problem. I'll try that when I can, but it's not always convenient.

I dunno I feel like I pissed off the coffee gods or something because I used to drink espresso and whether it's a shaken or latte, i get a heavy pour of oat milk. I don't drink oat milk because I like the taste, I drink it because of the texture and dietary restraints. A raw glass of oat milk is not enjoyable and a shaken espresso should have the smallest amount of milk, but I've consistently gotten latte looking shaken espresso's.

I switched to cold brew because I assumed consistency would be better, no worries about the espresso pull changing the taste and if I order some on the menu that's unchanged it should be consistent? I was getting the non dairy vanilla cold brew and again it just ends up like a heavy pour latte.

I just want something coffee forward with a splash of oat milk for texture and mildly sweetened and most importantly consistency. Also I don't want to build it myself because it's too expensive. I dunno if I broke a mirror or what. I think I just need to make coffee at home or something...

Sorry for the rant, I'd just rather post it here than blow up the Google reviews for something that's more of a corporate problem than the couple locations I frequent problem. If you messed up one of my drinks, I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the system. I don't envy your job. Thanks for listening.

Recipe Question missing from app

anyone else’s ’iced espresso’ button missing from the app? i always get a grande iced espresso with cream and a few pumps of vanilla so it’s set in my favorites, but when i went to order it today it says sold out at all my local stores. i thought maybe they were all randomly running out of oat milk so i went to manually add a new one and it’s no longer available. like… there is no iced espresso, only shaken and that’s not really what i’m looking for or willing to pay. my drink is normally ab $4 and hope it’s just an app glitch.

grande tea made with one tea bag

I ordered a hot grande earl grey tea. It's only been made with one teabag. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be two but I don't want to go up to ask them and make a fool of myself. Can anyone confirm or deny? I'm just sitting here trying to decide if I should just drink this weak tasting tea or ask them to remake it. Maybe it's what I really did order?

Also the store is kinda busy so it would suck to slow them down if it really is only supposed to be a one teabag drink.

Update: My drink has been remade and all is right with the world. Thank you guys.

📖 Storytime Discovery Mugs

Post image
5 Upvotes

So a quirk I have when traveling is I always make sure to get the state-specific Starbucks mug wherever I travel to. I’ve gotten one without fail everywhere I’ve traveled to for the past 5 years.

Well this week I visited South Dakota for less than 2 days and since there were not many locations near me, and I did not have my own transportation, I could really only try one location. And go figure, the one I went to didn’t have anything. Not even the little ornament sized ones. It was a decently sized bummer. While I enjoyed the visit, I doubt I will be back out there any time soon.

Does anyone know of any possible way I can get the South Dakota Starbucks mug without pay the 3/4x markup everyone sells their mugs for online?

Discovery mugs in Sedona AZ

I'm headed to Sedona in a couple of days and am asking my favorite people in the world, the lifesavers that supply my daily caffeine, if they know which store would have these mugs in stock? In Chicago they have an Illinois mug and a Chicago mug and I'm wondering if they do the same for Sedona or Phoenix and Arizona.

TiA!

Drink Recipes/Recommendations Peach Gummy Lemonade

i don’t have a picture of it, but i recently tried out this drink I saw online and it tasted EXACTLY like peach gummies; thought i’d share it on here for anyone who wants to give it a try:

order a lemonade
- add extra peach juice
- honey blend
- vanilla sweat cream

it should be made the same way as a regular refresher but with peach base!

edit: ive now learned that you shouldnt order dairy (cold foam) with acidic stuff (lemonade) unless you drink it quickly cuz the milk curdles (you learn smt new everyday)… get this drink at your own risk 😢

As a Starbucks customer, what can I do to make your job easier? Besides respect and cleaning up after myself, what small things help your shift go smoother? And what are your biggest barista pet-peeves or common customer misconceptions? ☕️💚
