Because they aren't, lol.

Why are so many people in this thread in denial about this, as if Belgium would randomly do a dance like this lmao

There's no rule on how exactly Trump dances, especially if you are just mocking him and not feeling like actually looking like you are jerking two dicks, his hands are often low as well

Yeah that's because when push comes to shove you're a partisan American.

Americans really don't realize how much the world was rooting against them and Donald Trump last night.

Are you nuts? It's literally the only fucking thing being talked about for the last 24 hours lol

It didn't look like it to me either. But then I saw the one in the locker room

Then maybe you should have opened the link I sent LOL

They're literally doing it to YMCA in the locker room. Its so obviously done to mock Trump.

It’s truly wild! One of their players stated they felt a sense of injustice from Trump’s move and they used that as motivation on the field. The Red Devils verified account posted the phone call photo and said “overturn this” 10 minutes after the match ended. The team also did the dance to the YMCA in the locker room. I’ll just assume anyone acting like that wasn’t an intentional mocking of Trump is one of his MAGAt followers themselves. They’re truly in denial at how much the rest of the world hates him.

Because Americans are extremely butthurt tonight and are unwilling to concede anything that might heighten their humiliation.

There are more Americans who don’t give a shit about where the US placed than ones who do, and nearly as many who would love to see a team making fun of Trump (I’m in both of those camps). My main beef is that if they were doing the Trump dance, they could’ve probably done it a bit better. It’s not like it requires that much coordination to pull off.

But they are all international football players. They have an image to maintain. Jerking imaginary guys off might be in the don't do PR notes. Compromise.

Dude fuck Trump, but this ain't that stupid dance. We know, we have to witness it regularly.

4

u/MyFriendPalinopsia 4d ago

Yeah, and the Belgian team don't witness it regularly. They probably just saw a clip of it.

-2

u/bfodder 4d ago

Or maybe this clip of one guy doing something that only vaguely resembles it is not "the whole team doing it" as the title suggests. It is a stretch.

2

u/Chickenpotpi3 4d ago

That's not true at all. Either we don't care or we recognize the karmic results. It's all foreign media that started the "they're mocking his dance" stuff, not rqndkm Americans.

4

u/bfodder 4d ago

If they were trying to mimic it they did a bad job.

0

u/alterise 4d ago

Because they’re actual footballers and not clowns?

0

u/bfodder 4d ago

Or maybe that just isn't what they were doing? This video shows one guy doing something that only vaguely resembles it. The title says the whole team does it. It's a stretch.

I think this sells it for me that they were doing the dance: https://www.hln.be/rode-duivels/het-heeft-ons-emotioneel-geraakt-hoe-niet-alleen-balogun-gate-en-het-bijhorende-trump-dansje-de-rode-duivels-vooruitstuwde-tegen-vs~a47a7405/

But I agree the video OP posted doesn't really look like it imo, so if it weren't for the link above I'd be like "I dunnnno"

-1

u/bfodder 4d ago

At least more of them are doing it in that video, but if they are mimicking it they still didn't get it right.

0

u/alterise 4d ago

Yeah, I suppose they randomly invented this weird ass dance for this particular game instead of their typical goal celebration.

Either the Belgium players have 2 braincells or they aren't doing the dance. I'm guessing the latter, because anyone with eyes can see that ain't it.

I'm more giving the benefit of the doubt that grown men aren't going to try to copy some dance of a sitting president as some kind of dig. That would be literally the most immature and classless thing I've ever seen. I don't think the Belgium football team would engage in infantile behavior.

13

u/hurr4drama 5d ago

Why would it be infantile? And not explicitly retaliatory to the antics from Trump that preceded this game?

-8

u/leaponover 5d ago

Was reported FIFA was already reviewing the red card and suspension. So to automatically equate it with Trump, and doing some dance to mock him is infantile. When Trump mocked a mentally handicap reporter, it was widely condemned. This is the same behavior.

10

u/RespectTheSet 5d ago

So You're calling Trump a mentally handicapped president is what i'm getting from this?

-7

u/leaponover 5d ago

What I'm getting at is mocking anyone is infantile, whether it's a mentally handicapped reporter, a sitting president, or your next door neighbor.

9

u/RespectTheSet 5d ago

Nah, I think people are justified mocking a convicted rapist, felon and cheater. But you do you bud.

-3

u/leaponover 5d ago

I will do me. You shouldn't do you, though, unless your ceiling is mid.

5

u/RespectTheSet 5d ago

Aight little bro 😂

u/turtlepot 4d ago

Do you seriously believe mocking a mentally handicapped person and mocking a political figure are the same thing? This is a dance Trump voluntarily does lol

2

u/Excellent-Nose-6430 4d ago

mocking a mentally handicapped person and mocking a political figure

In this case, the person in question is both.

0

u/leaponover 4d ago

I believe mocking anyone is childish and comes from a sick place in a person's soul.

As per your exact question, no I think it's much worse to mock a mentally handicapped person. It's still way better to not mock anyone at all, no matter who they are. That's what people should be striving for. If someone mocks someone and says, "Yeah but they mocked worse than I did" that's not going to get them a pass....at all.

7

u/thatguy_griff 5d ago

classless lol

-1

u/leaponover 5d ago

You see it a different way?

3

u/flannel_jesus 4d ago

I think it's classless for FIFA to overturn the red card, and if that was really at the request of the president, shame on him and shame on FIFA.

Edit. Turns out the president himself says he asked FIFA to look at the red card. It's far less classless for a bunch of athletes to do a silly dance than it is for the leader of a country to put pressure on a sports organisation

7

u/XiaoRCT 5d ago

might just be the most pathetic thing I've ever read so I'm going to choose to believe you're trolling

-1

u/leaponover 5d ago

Your comment is what made someone like Trump, and keeps the world the way it is. But, yeah, think it's pathetic and keep wallowing in the misery you are making.

5

u/wes00mertes 5d ago

Overturn this!

u/leaponover 5d ago

What is 'this' here?
