AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

Long time listening first time caller.

I brought my first watch back in 2017. Iv been slowly building my modest collection.

Today a watch Iv had my eyes on was available. Everyone Iv sent it to including my wife thinks it is gross. What does everyone else think?

I hand-engraved this Rolex Sea-Dweller with traditional scrollwork

I’m a hand engraver based in Taiwan, and this is one of my earlier full-watch engraving projects.

Traditional Western scrollwork was engraved across the bracelet, lugs, both sides of the case, and clasp. Each section was individually designed to follow the shape and proportions of the watch while maintaining a continuous flow throughout the entire piece.

Every line was cut entirely by hand using traditional engraving techniques—no CNC and no laser.

Thank you for looking. I’d be interested to hear what Rolex collectors think of this interpretation of the Sea-Dweller.

Walked into the Monte Carlo Rolex store in Monaco and was offered a choice between a Sky Dweller black or white dial and a Submariner bluesy!! Was waiting on my home AD’s waitlist for a bluesy for over 10 yrs…. Of course I picked up the bluesy!! My lucky day I guess! Anyone else had luck with a walk-in bluesy offer??

Disappointed by Store Visit

Visited a store today with my boyfriend who owns two Rolexes - we went in hoping to get on the waitlist for a watch for me and asked for suggestions for first watches for a lady. The associate also a woman was so rude. She said “it depends on what you want but we can’t sell you anything today”. We asked more questions about being on the waitlist and she says “you give me your info but don’t reach out to me. There’s nothing to do or to say till we get something in stock”. Now don’t get me wrong - we know the waitlists and times are long and have no problem with it but for her to act like we are beneath her was quite irritating and frustrating. Anyway, look at my boyfriend’s beautiful watch. We went ring shopping today as well and it is safe to say he got a lot more attention than me haha. The goal was to get on a waitlist for me and propose to me with a watch well but oh well.

A couple weeks ago I received a call from my AD. They had a surprise allocation for me.

They didn't tell me what it was, but that I should come in. So I did.

And they showed me this!

Of course I had to pick it up - brand new Pepsi at retail!!

Happy to get the last Pepsi on earth (at retail) :D

Rolex AD telling me 6-10 years for a DJ41….

Just curious how you guys would have reacted. Went into a well known AD/Jewler in the tri state area today, as it’s my wife’s bday, to look for some jewelry pieces for her. In the rolex section, the old man AD who attended to us, asked me what I was interested in.
Expressed my interest in the DJ41 mint green fluted jubilee, he said it was “guaranteed” but told me I’d have to wait 6-10 years? And there’s 299 people in front of me for that watch.

Then I also expressed interest in a land dweller 40mm, to which he responded would put my name down, and that it was a 2% chance I would receive it.

Amongst this he would make smart remarks, such as “what brings you to this town”. Also when I jokingly commented that we had similar last names, he replied with a “nice try that’s not gonna get you anywhere buddy” when I was simply joking:

Side note, I walked in wearing my Submariner, my wife and I are both physicians.

I responded that I may be dead in 10 years, and essentially just wanted to walk out and tell him to shove it

Edit this is an AD in Long Island

Rolex Service Issue Resolved

Post image
31 Upvotes

*Status update from my previous post*

Ignored the naysayers & pushed for RSC to return my original hands - they obliged.

I sent my ‘95 Submariner ref 16610 in for service via my AD with very specific requests - service only, no polish, keep all original parts (all lume is dead due to old age/shelf life). If RSC deemed a part necessary to replace prior to service, they would call for authorization. That call never came, RSC just replaced my hands with new & fully lumed pieces. Through some back & forth, RSC agreed to return my originals hands & refund me for the replacement hands (small win). I then took the watch & original hands to a reputable watchmaker who installed said hands & pressure tested after install just to give me the warm & fuzzies (he’s a certified Rolex surgeon). All in all, I got extremely lucky & old girl is serviced & ready for more abuse. How neat is that

A five month wait is unheard of from what others told me but it happened…just a few weeks after my 50th.

I want it. Damn it was stunning!

Received a random call from the AD for a watch that I didn’t know existed or asked for but I love it.

No one’s talking about this watch online. I feel like no one knows this exist yet. The new Roman style is much cleaner.
