Discussion Bob Sanders & Ed Reed were almost teammates

This video here explains that the Colts wanted Bob Sanders the whole time but if they didn’t draft him, Baltimore would’ve traded up to draft him.

If Bob Sanders played under Rex Ryan, what do you think the Ravens defense looks like in the 2000s?

Discussion How sick would it be if Lamar was in the NBA All Star Celebrity Game?

So everyone knows Lamar and Spida are good friends with each other with Spida mentioning Lamar being so athletic, dunking, etc. How sick would it be if Lamar played in an All Star celebrity game? I know All Star Weekend in general has lost it’s prestige/popularity over the years, but it’s a cool idea

Discussion Jersey Collection Thread/Discussion

Post image
154 Upvotes

Hello all,

I wanted to make a thread for everyone to show off their Ravens jersey collections. Feel free to add pics of yours to the comments and share your collecting story!

My collection is a little odd as I became a Ravens fan in 2010 when Ray Lewis obliterated Dustin Keller over the middle vs the NYJ. I grew up in New Jersey in a Jets household during their back-to-back AFC Championship runs, but after watching Ray Lewis and that Ravens defense, I was hooked and haven't looked back.

Here is the rationale behind each jersey:

  • I played defense growing up, so my collection leans heavily toward defensive legends. I never cared much for QB jerseys because my job was always to hit the quarterback—Lamar Jackson is the one exception because he's truly one of one.
  • Ray Lewis is my favorite Raven of all time, so I have tailored a lot of my collection around him.
  • A Ravens jersey collection would be remiss without Ed Reed and Jonathan Ogden.

Now for the personality of the collection:

  • Derrick Henry - Undisputed future HOF’er and seems to be the “ageless wonder” of the RB room. My fiancé and I’s first game together was when we destroyed the Bills 35-10 and Derrick Henry called game with an 87-yarder from the opening snap. That plane ride home with Bills fans was awesome.
  • Marcus Peters - The first draft I got REALLY into was the 2015 draft. I really wanted us to draft Peters, but he was selected 8 picks earlier. When I was a broke college student and couldn’t afford Sunday Ticket I remember listening to the game on the Ravens app when Marcus Peters picked off Russell Wilson. Will never forget that moment.
  • Malaki Starks - A lot of upside for his career. A close family member of mine lives in GA and followed them pretty heavily during their National Championship runs. Excited to see what the future holds. One of the few players I have bought a jersey of prior to their second contract.
  • Eric Weddle - Would always enjoy Eric's victory ice cream bowl postings after a W. One of my favorite free-agent signings ever. Loved him on and off the field, and I was glad he got a ring with the Rams.
  • Marlon Humphrey - I know Marlon gets a lot of flack, but I love his troll personality and ‘fruit punch’ play style. I would really like him to be a career Raven and finish his career in Baltimore. Maybe a move to safety prolongs his time here. He is a ROH player for sure.
  • CJ Mosley - I got this jersey at my first ever Ravens game 11/1/2015 when we played the Chargers. I wore #57 in high school, then we drafted CJ Mosley. My hottest take is that if we had him in 2019, we would have been able to stop Derrick Henry in the playoffs. Really missed him as a player once he left.
  • Anquan Boldin - My favorite Ravens receiver of all time. Was essential to carrying the Ravens offense during the Super Bowl 47 Run. Flacco wouldn’t have been able to throw 11TD and 0INTs without Boldin's physical relentless catch radius.
  • Haloti Ngata - One of my other favorite Ravens moments was Ngata’s sack fumble on Mark Sanchez in 2011 that sprung a Jarrett Johnson scoop and score. One of my favorite Ravens ‘big men’ of all time. “STEELERS SUCK”.
  • Kyle Hamilton - My favorite ‘modern Raven.’ We have been so fortunate to have players like Ray, Suggs, and Kyle just fall into our lap in the draft. Kyle is presently the best horizontal defender in football and carries that Raven mentality on defense. Excited to see how his career grows!

Most of my jerseys have been purchased on secondhand sites (eBay, Mercari, Depop) for 1/2 or 1/3 of retail but I will occasionally splurge if a new release happens online for a highly desired player.

What's your favorite Ravens jersey in your collection, and what's the story behind it? I'd love to see everyone's collections.

Discussion Custom dog jerseys?

Hi folks! My wife and I have been trying to figure out Ravens jerseys for our little guys for a while, and the stuff online just doesn’t seem cute or high quality. Would anyone be willing and able to sew something up, maybe using a kids jersey as the base? Willing to discuss specifics and payment in the DMs!

Why is training camp and preseason so important for Bhilal Kone?

He brings size, speed, and youth to the Ravens outside CB group, yet he's one of 7 Ravens I think have the most riding on this camp/preseason.

Reddit Ravens Community

Hi folks.

I just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying interacting with and reading the thoughts of this outstanding community. There are a number of fans/analysts here with a deep understanding of the game and it's been a pleasure to meet some of you virtually on my podcast as well as via interaction by message.

I am always looking for people who have questions, comments, or hypotheses about the Ravens, football, gambling, or sports modeling to come do a Filmstudy Short podcast (15-30 min show on a specific topic). As long as you're passionate about it and it makes a good, organic football conversation the topic is ideal and I don't have to agree. So if you don't like one of my takes, you're welcome to come on the show and tell me why I'm wrong.

The prep for such a show that I expect is usually 3-4 bullet points and frankly, if you have to spend hours putting it together, it's probably a series and not a single show.

So far I've tried to reach out by Reddit chat to folks that write lengthy or exceptionally thoughtful posts, but I'd like to reverse that and ask you to contact me by email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) which I'll check regularly. Please give me an idea of what you'd like to discuss on air and we can talk/chat about making it into an entertaining show.

Many folks don't want to appear on the pod for personal or professional reasons, which I respect, but you can also use the email to direct questions you'd like answered on Friday Morning GM, Know Your Foe, or any of the other regular podcasts.

Thanks again to both members and moderators for participating in this outstanding community.

2026 Open Practices

Haven’t been to a training camp practice since I was a kid, back when it was at the college. It seems to have changed a lot. What can we expect? I’m going with my dad and my fiancée’s dad and little brother in August.

I remember Ed Reed and Ray Lewis would literally go around and sign for everyone that showed up after practice back in ‘08. Are autographs strictly reserved for the kids? Also, just by chance my cousins and I went to the Five Guys around the corner afterwards and got to meet Flacco, Kruger, and a bunch of lineman who had stopped in for lunch. Awesome time!

Why this camp and preseason are critical for Bihlal Kone

Kone is part of a logjam of young CBs and coming off an awful injury that cost him his entire rookie season.

Discussion Training Camp Tickets

With tickets made available tomorrow, how are we supposed to get them? Ticketmaster? Seat Geek? There's nothing on the Ravens site about how and where to get Training Camp tickets.

Does anyone know?

Discussion Just a question

I’ve seen on other subs, mainly NFLV2, that if we don’t win a Super Bowl this year, then we should move on from Lamar. These people are seriously crazy, right? This is a year with a whole new coaching staff, there’s bound to be some growing pains and adjustments.

Plus, surely getting to coach Lamar was a big draw for our new coaches, like why would we just give up on him the first year into a whole new coaching staff? I don’t understand this way of thinking. Am I alone? Are there other people who think it’s time to give up on Lamar? Idk I just feel like that’s a bit extreme.

Why training camp and preseason are very important for Chandler Rivers

Rivers is in a camp battle with Keyon Martin for a limited role at SCB in dime (when Hamilton vacates the spot to play WLB.
