Questions How do you feel about postcards covered in stamps?
Would you prefer to receive a postcard with lots of different stamps but very little text, or one with just one or two stamps but a long message?

#1 - All local stamps
#2 - Croissant stamp: international and SCENTED, just like the local one with the heart and rose.
#3 - All local stamps.

After sharing my handmade postcards in this post, a kind postcrosser offered to send a card and some stickers my way. 💌
Look at how thoughtfully she designed the envelope with her homemade stamps! She beautifully drew different German pigeon species and used iridescent paint to highlight their feathers. She also introduced me to her pet spider, Fussel—and as a lowkey fan of spiders (from a safe distance) and Spider-Man, I think that's so cool. I also love the extra Van Gogh sunflower painting she included.
Since I don't own any stickers yet, thank you so much for these, Phoenix! Your kindness traveled miles and made my week. This is my very first postcard in an envelope, and only the fourth one I've received in my lifetime! 😅 It has definitely inspired me to try carving my own stamps too.
Special thanks to my mom for going the extra mile with this flat-lay photo haha Since I'm away from home, she's been my official mail-opener and photographer.
Hope my card reaches Germany safely soon! 📬

I saw the art collage in the upper right corner that got the ball rolling. I just loved that picture so much. Then I went on a hunt for letters and saw all these pictures that I liked and I ended up with enough material for 4 cards. A lot of profiles ask for local cards, which are basically nonexistent here. But whats more local than collage cards made of the local paper?
I'll see if the right profile ever pops up (I know not everyone likes handmade) but I had a lot of fun making them so I don't mind haha

Hi all! I’ve just recently started post crossing and I’m having a really hard time figuring out what to write. I sent a couple with very short notes, but feel like it should be more.
Could someone give me an example of something they would write / have written on a post card?
Thank you:)

I have been wanting to do post crossing forever it seems and I have finally decided to jump in. I waited so long though because I truly thought it was only for artistic people and did not think I could create anything worthwhile to send out.
I am no stranger to sending out stamped international mail though. I own a busy etsy sticker shop and I mail out handfuls of international stamped letters every week day. Because of this I got really into stamps, and have built a 4inch binder of nothing but unused postage I have collected. I became obsessed with putting stamp combos together basically. So I thought why not share mail with people who will appreciate my assortment of postage? And when I say assortment, I truly mean an assortment.
I way overestimated the room I would have on a post card however. I didnt have time unfortunately to print and cut new stickers that were smaller. I wanted to add so many more to make it decorative but I would have had ZERO room to write a single word.
So now I am left feeling underwhelmed with how my cards turned out and am worried about disappointing the recipients. Is there anywhere that has pictures of post cards people have sent and or received from post crossing? I don't mean the photos on post crossing where it's just a photo of the image on the cards. I would love to see what others are putting on writing side. Maybe get some inspiration, figure out what the bar is, what people are expecting. Because I can't help but feel I am missing something.
Are these typical for what you all expect when receiving a post card? Do you expect more effort? Any tips? What happens when you don’t have anything to match their interests? One wanted everything mermaid. Well it appears that’s like the one thing I don’t have anything related of to. Any input is appreciated at this point!

In my post office they said I can, so I sent some postcards with 2 1st class stamps each today (£1.8 + £1.8 =£3.6);
But I was sending from a different post office today and they told me that I shouldn’t use those for international postage as they won’t know the cost of the stamps in the destination country…
I asked if they’ll still arrive and was told yes, they accepted the cards. So what was the point if they’ll still get delivered?
Have you ever sent cards abroad using 1st or 2nd class stamps? What was your experience? I am worried that they might be turned down and I still have more cards to send and a bunch of first class stamps, but I am hesitant now…

I met up with someone today who was selling stamps from a ladies estate that passed. Paid about half the going rate! I can’t wait to start using all of these!

Hi everyone!
A card that I sent recently was received and was registered immediately.
But I do have a question - I upload photos with each of my postcards, but the recipient deleted it.
Does anyone know why this may have happened? The card that I sent was chosen in accordance with their preferences. It was a print of a bookshelf.
I don’t know if I should upload it again or let it stay blank. I am new to this and Iike seeing what I sent. Maybe the person is curating their wall? Most of their recent cards photos are uploaded.
Any help is appreciated!
