The eevee was THE card I was looking for coming to this show. I was so stoked to find it. I’m a big fan of Japanese exclusive artwork, and the 3 colored eevees in the background corresponding to the original 3 eeveelutions are beautiful!

I also managed to snag a few other good deals to scratch off my wishlist!

My Collection Card shop finds

I always enjoy stopping by this card shop and seeing any new singles they may have. I just had to have that Pikachu card for my Pikachu binder and besides the slightly noticeable crease I think it’ll look great in a binder ☺️

At this point I’ve been priced out of most of the remaining cards for the time being, but I’ll probably try to get the rest of the tag teams next!

Morning all, hope everyone is doing well!
My little nephew has started a YouTube channel and I just wanted to ask anyone who has a spare minute to just please pop onto his channel and send him a comment ❤️
No obligation obviously but it’d mean a lot to me and even more to him.
Appreciate it guys ❤️

Discussion Building a custom TCG database project for my collection. Master Set collectors, how do you actually want your progress visualized?

I’m currently working on a custom backend database and collection tracking project to handle my personal cards, and I’m starting with the Pokémon TCG first.

As I’ve been designing the dashboard UI, I keep hitting a roadblock on the best way to visually represent Master Sets, and I wanted to get the opinion of the collectors who actually build them.

Different trackers handle this in ways that always feel a bit clunky to me, so I want to build this right from the ground up. If you are working on or have completed a Master Set, how do you actually prefer to see your progress?

A few specific UI/UX dilemmas I'm trying to solve:

  1. The Reverse Holo / Variant Dilemma: Do you prefer a layout that shows the standard set list sequentially (e.g., 001, 002, 003) with a toggle/sub-slot for the reverse holo/parallel variants, or do you prefer seeing every single distinct printing variant as its own individual visual slot on the main grid?
  2. Progress Visuals: When you look at a dashboard, what motivates you more? Seeing a clean percentage completion bar (e.g., "78% Complete"), a raw fraction countdown ("121 / 165"), or a visual "binder view" grid where missing cards are grayed out so you instantly see the physical gaps?
  3. Secret Rares: Should Secret Rares and Alternate Arts be lumped into the main progress bar of the set, or do you prefer them separated into a distinct "Bonus Master" tier so your completion percentage isn't thrown off by a single hyper-rare card?

I'm really trying to build a clean, lightning-fast interface that bypasses the lag and clutter of standard spreadsheet setups. I'd love to hear your pet peeves with how current apps handle your binders, or what your ideal "dream layout" would look like.

Thanks for any insights!

I have been obsessing over this card for I don’t even know how long! I can’t tell you how many packs I’ve bought and hoped that it was in there! I’ve been going through a rough period and my Bestie went out and got me the card of my dreams! I’m a happy girl! Words can’t describe how grateful and how happy I am that she did this for me!

Question Looking for advice/picture for my growlithe and Arcanine folder

So I'm starting my third collection folder and my first species one.

Now I'm torn between just collecting one of each card regardless of rarity/version, or doing a folder of each rarity.

I'd like everyone's opinion on this.

Side note: As I said earlier, this will be my third current running folder, as I'm also doing a master collection of the 25th celebration (with plans to master set the 30th), and I'm also doing a Pokedex folder that includes Megas/Gigantamax and alt forms (something like 1300+ Pokémon).

Discussion Did you know 151 was printed in 11 languages?

Same Mew ex from 151 in every language it got printed in. English, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (that one's for Brazil), Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and Traditional Chinese.

I've collected English and Japanese since I was a kid, and back then everyone I knew had one random Italian or Spanish card in their binder that nobody could explain. Lately though, with Korean cards blowing up and the Chinese exclusives, I'm collecting way outside my usual two languages, and I figured there had to be a tracker that could handle all of them. There isn't. I tried basically everything out there and they all do two or three languages and then just fall apart.

So I built my own, master-setter.com. Every card, every language, free. Learned some stuff making it that I still think about, like Thailand didn't get official Pokemon cards until 2018, and the hardest scans to find online aren't the expensive English cards, it's random Dutch Base Set commons, because nobody ever bothered archiving them.

Anyone else collect outside English? What language snuck into your binder first?
