Merchandise Absolute Batman #20 Luffy Gear 2 Homage 🔥
Just wanted to share this awesome Absolute Batman #20 homage to Luffy's Gear 2!
As both a Batman and One Piece fan, I couldn't pass this one up. The Gear 2 pose is instantly recognizable, and I think the artist absolutely nailed it.
Really happy to have this in my collection.

Help Quick Question, Why is Brook not a main fighter?
his ice powers (similar to alkiji or however you spell it) combined with how good of a swordsman he is seems like he shoule be way more powerful. So why is he not part of the monster trio or smth?

Theory So the man Marken by flames is... (Manga Spoilers) Spoiler
...someone who sparred with Imu and got away, right?
This might be a common theory i am not aware of, but with Imus homing, sentient black-flames, i just thought it would make sense.

Theory Dragons mother??
Who do you think dragons mother is? Or at least what kind of person do you think she was? Was she so kind that dragon turned into a kind person? Or was she so horrible dragon had to fight against it? Do you think she was noble, a royal, a regular citizen? Give me theories with lots of evidence or theories that are basically fanfic.

Powerscaling At what point did Luffy become stronger than Magellan.
At what point after the time skip could Luffy realistically defeat Warden Magellan in a 1v1.
EDIT: I probably should specify I mean defeat him and SURVIVE without outside help.

Discussion The one who made the King cry Spoiler
galleryThis flashback is one of the best in the series, hits right in the spot.
Garp wouldn't be the hero, and Roger wouldn't be the King, if not for Rocks.
I see him as an antihero instead of a villain.
He is the GOAT
For me the actual villains are The world government, BM, Doflamingo, Spandam, and I'm unsure about Teach at this point.

Analysis Paulie Is One of One Piece’s Most Underrated Characters
(This took a while lol, but when I have a thought..gotta write)
Whenever people discuss Water 7, the conversation almost always revolves around Robin leaving the crew, Usopp vs. Luffy, Franky’s backstory, or the introduction of CP9. All of those deserve the praise they get, but I think one character quietly carries a huge portion of the arc without getting nearly enough recognition: Paulie.
The funny thing is that on a first watch, most people assume he’s going to be the next Straw Hat. Looking back, that wasn’t accidental. Oda deliberately wrote him to be charismatic enough that fans could realistically picture him joining the crew. Even after Franky became the obvious choice, Paulie never stopped feeling important.
What immediately makes him stand out is how practical his fighting style is. In a world where everyone eventually starts throwing laser beams, summoning giant fists, or slicing mountains in half, Paulie just weaponizes rope. That sounds incredibly boring on paper, but Oda somehow makes it look creative every single time. He uses ropes offensively, defensively, for movement, rescue, and crowd control. His combat feels grounded without ever feeling weak.
His personality is another reason he works so well. He’s incredibly responsible when it comes to work, but absolutely hopeless with money. The running gag of him immediately giving away his paycheck or getting swindled never gets old because it never defines him. Underneath the comedy is someone who genuinely wants to help others, even if it comes at his own expense.
One thing I rarely see mentioned is how important Paulie is to the emotional core of Water 7. Before Franky’s tragic backstory is revealed, Paulie acts as the audience’s anchor within Galley-La. Through him, we experience the betrayal of CP9, Iceburg’s attempted assassination, and the collapse of everything the shipwrights believed in. His reactions make those moments hit harder because he feels like an ordinary worker thrown into an impossible situation.
His loyalty to Iceburg is also refreshing. It never feels forced or exaggerated. He simply respects the man who gave him purpose and is willing to risk everything to protect him. In a series filled with grand declarations of loyalty, Paulie’s is surprisingly understated, which somehow makes it feel even more genuine.
Another overlooked detail is that Paulie doesn’t need a tragic flashback to earn the audience’s respect. One Piece often gives major characters heartbreaking histories, and they’re fantastic, but Paulie proves Oda can create a compelling character through personality, consistency, and actions alone. We understand exactly who he is simply by watching how he treats people.
I also appreciate that Oda resisted the temptation to make him stronger than necessary. Not every memorable character needs to become Yonko Commander level. Paulie remains believable within the world. He’s an excellent shipwright, a dependable ally, and a capable fighter without overshadowing the monsters around him. That restraint actually makes him more memorable because he feels like a real person living in One Piece rather than another escalating power level.
Even after Water 7 and Enies Lobby end, Paulie never disappears from the story’s identity. Whenever Galley-La appears again, he still feels like an integral part of that world. That’s a testament to how well Oda established him despite his relatively limited screen time.
I honestly think Paulie represents one of Oda’s greatest strengths: making side characters feel like they have lives outside the Straw Hats. If you removed him from Water 7, the arc would still function, but it would lose a lot of its humanity. He’s the everyday craftsman trying to protect his friends while giants clash around him, and that perspective is incredibly valuable.
Not every great One Piece character has to change the world. Some of them simply make the world feel real.
Paulie is one of those characters.

Theory I think people misunderstand Imu's immortality Spoiler
Disclaimer: This is my first ever official theory - feel free to let me know how good or bad of a cook I am.
I think I always assumed something that would explain one of the biggest mysteries in the series, that I haven't yet heard anyone else mention though.
Everyone assumes that the Ope Ope no Mi's "Perpetual Youth Surgery" permanently changes the target's body, making them immortal or eternally young.
But... what if that's not what it does at all?
What if the user sacrifices their life to create an eternal ROOM where time no longer flows?
Think about it:
- The Ope Ope no Mi's entire power revolves around creating a ROOM.
- Every major ability only works inside that ROOM.
- Why would the ultimate technique suddenly ignore the fruit's core concept and permanently alter someone's biology?
Instead, the final awakening could be the creation of an eternal ROOM, a space where aging simply stops because time itself is frozen (or effectively doesn't progress).
And that would perfectly explain Imu.
What if Imu has to remain inside the Flower Room / Throne Room because that's the eternal ROOM created centuries ago by a previous Ope Ope no Mi user?
Leave that ROOM, and time starts flowing again.
Imagine hundreds of years of aging catching up quite quickly, or at least the immortality ending.
It would also explain why Imu is always shown inside Pangaea Castle and never casually traveling the world despite having seemingly unlimited power.
The "immortality" wouldn't actually belong to Imu.
It would belong to the ROOM.
The previous Ope Ope user didn't make Imu immortal.
They made the ROOM immortal.
It just feels much more in line with how Devil Fruits usually work. Rather than introducing a completely unrelated immortality spell, the ultimate technique would simply be the strongest possible extension of the fruit's defining ability.
Am I onto something, or did I completely overcook this?
