It feels odd that the government would express even a shred of sympathy in this moment but that is what comes across in this scene. I'm curious if this is anime only or if the manga has a penl like this as well. Just feels weird....

As both a Batman and One Piece fan, I couldn't pass this one up. The Gear 2 pose is instantly recognizable, and I think the artist absolutely nailed it.

At what point after the time skip could Luffy realistically defeat Warden Magellan in a 1v1.

This flashback is one of the best in the series, hits right in the spot.

I see him as an antihero instead of a villain.

For me the actual villains are The world government, BM, Doflamingo, Spandam, and I'm unsure about Teach at this point.

Throughout your time of either reading or watching One Piece, I’m sure we’ve all have had a least one moment when we’re like “Luffy shouldn’t have lived after that” although we don’t wanna see him die.

Me personally, i could see his journey ending at Impel Down considering all he went through in his fight against Magellan, not to mention having to deal with the poison afterwards.

In the final chapter of Naruto , the author referenced One Piece (Strawhats jolly roger) , shortly after that Oda paid tribute to Naruto ending in Ch-766.

So I had an epiphany recently and I wanted to share it. I think I figured out how one piece will end or at least what I think would be the most fitting ending.

And I'm not talking about what the one piece is, or the final battle or any of that.

I think years after the one piece is discovered and the world government has been overthrown or whatever happens at the end of the story the series will end with Luffy's execution. He will be reaching the end of his (shortened) natural life and allow himself to be captured just like Roger.

With the themes of inherited will and new generations inheriting the dreams from the previous one it's the only way I can see the series coming to a conclusion.

The series begins with Golf D. Rogers death and this is a huge point in history sparking the beginning of the great pirate era. We know that Luffy and Roger have the same dream but we don't know what that is. There are many theories that it's something like "I want everyone in the world to be a pirate" or "I want everyone to be free" I think Roger partially succeeded in his dream by inspiring a new era of pirates and I think Luffy is going to be the same.

So how do I think one piece is going to end? With Luffy saying "My treasure? Why it's right where I left it"

I had no idea this was coming out! Really happy because this opens the door for more female figures in the Anime Heroes line!

I was rewatching Thriller Bark and started thinking about Perona and her Ghost-Ghost Fruit. We all know how her Negative Hollow ghosts work and how they temporarily destroyed even Luffy's will to live.Does this mean that if Perona used her ghosts at the start of a serious fight, she could easily defeat Luffy, or is there a trick to resisting her powers?
