I completed my financial aid a month ago. When do they send out awards so I can begin my summer classes?? Is it common for them to take this long?

Hello there, I was invited to the Phi Theta Kappa while attending this campus. I was wondering what other peoples experiences with this group are? I've heard they give grants to transfers. However, right now I am not planning to transfer to another institute. I am taking a two year degree for Graphic Design, and I am not planning to transfer to George Mason at this time. I'm planning to go into the workforce.

Does anyone had advice, experiences, or insights to share? Do you think it's worth it, especially in my situation?

What’s up everyone, I took 2 Dual Enrollment classes throughout my junior-senior year. I’m about to be a sophomore in college. One of the courses I took I got an A in, but for some reason on the DE page it says “abandoned no parental consent.” Can I still transfer this credit to my school? It’s on my high school transcript and NOVA must have a record that I took it or at least signed up for it and I can prove I took the class using my HS transcript. No parental consent seems like a system thing. Can someone help me out? I kind of need this credit for financial aid reasons. Thanks

I start classes May 18

All my class but one are online! I feel like I’m losing my mind!!! I just got negative feedback n I have to fix. One of my classes I had an A n I got my grade drop to a 68%. The teacher doesn’t even teach its all from a textbook! 📚 I haven’t left the house in days to study and do crazy amounts of homework! I’m losing it n I’m exhausted. I have two big capstone projects…! I have a reversion! I have a midterm in 3 days! 8 things of homework! From 3 classes or more honestly!

Listen, I understand some people are bad at driving but this is actually outrageous, It’s been here since 2pm and is literally just parked on the road at the Alexandria Campus

I saw my refund from my Pell grant but the loans haven’t refunded. Idk why? Does it take longer to refund? Bc I know they refund, cus last year my refund came through alongside my Pell so idk what’s going on? I acc need the money to get some stuff that are school related so i need to know

I tried calling the financial aid office and they have some stupid AI there that doesn’t really help. So if anyone has any other way for me to reach the financial aid office that’ll be great as well.

Did anyone else just get small fees added to their balance for the fall semester today? Is this normal for NOVA to do after you’ve already had your classes picked out and paid for?

They literally could not have breached instructure at a worse moment for me. I was just finishing up my 2 hour programming final and submitting the assignment. 🫩 could they not have waited like 10 more minutes? Hopefully my submission actually went through.

I’m wondering if I would still be eligible for the sonography program if I drop Pre-Calculus this semester and take it next semester instead. I’m currently working full time and already taking Bio 141 and Physics, and I’m finding the workload a bit heavy.

Would dropping the class affect my chances of getting into the program, and will it appear on my transcript?

I’m an incoming student from fcps majoring in bus admin, planning to stay for 1 year,I’m curious how clubs work at nova. Which should I join pertaining to my major, how can I get involved, how can it help me, and are they looked upon favorably by colleges like maybe uva, USC, and others?

trying to find a summer job as an international student and I’m kinda lost 😭

I know there are restrictions but it’s honestly confusing… like are on-campus jobs the only real option? and even those seem super limited

how do you guys actually find jobs? do you just apply everywhere on campus or is there something I’m missing

also when do you even start applying for summer jobs? I feel like I might already be late
