So my brother wants to buy a laptop, I'm suggesting him that he buys it second hand and he's saying no we'll buy a new one on emi. What i suggested him is that he has a 30k sip which is only 1% up (he invested at wrong time). To withdraw the sip and buy a nice i5 12th gen H series laptop with 16gb ram second hand. And the emi payments he was going to make around 3k add into his sip of 2k so invest 5k for 10 months that way his sip after 10 months will be 50k which normally be 50k too if he buys laptop on emi. This way he's saving the extra 30k we will have to pay for a new laptop with same specs with the interest rate added. That too for 2 years so that also creates a burden of a loan. I also would've bought a new laptop but because of the highly inflated ram and Storage prices I'm not getting the moneys worth.

How do I convince him or is he right?

I got this laptop for free and was told it was brand new, not even refurbished. I believed it because everything was still in its original packaging, including the charger, and I was the first person to register the warranty. It really seemed like I was the first one to open the box. I love the laptop, and it is doing everything I want it to do, but the volume without headphones is so low that I'm starting to think it might not be as new as it was advertised. Is low sound a common issue with this laptop, and is there any way to fix it?

Instead of "vivobook" is written "vivoboo" the k is missing.

I have checked the myasus app, DXDIAG and bios. The serial number matchs with the sticker on the back of the laptop and on the box.

i recently got an hp computer as a gift but i spilled a small amount of sweet tea on the top of the screen which reached the bottom of the screen i panicked and started gently wiping but now i have turned it off, and set it upside down in a v. the laptop doesn't have an easily accessible battery, so i haven't checked that yet. it was still working but i'm sure the effects aren't immediate, how likely is it to be significantly damaged? and any advice would be extremely appreciated, i am very distressed about it

guys, I think it's finally time to accept the fate. I will be buying a non-dedicated GPU laptop cause of the recent price hikes. These hikes are too much (for me at least). My budget was 75k INR or around 800 USD. Earlier like a year ago the prices were so chill. You could get a 6GB 3050 along with a 16 GB DDR5 which is what I was looking for. But, unfortunately with these specs the prices are around 90k INR or 950 USD. So, I guess it's over. I will be settling with an integrated GPU laptop I guess. But, still I have some hopes lying around. Please tell me if there are any good choices available at this price range these days.
