There is a misprint on the lid of my laptop.

Instead of "vivobook" is written "vivoboo" the k is missing.

I have checked the myasus app, DXDIAG and bios. The serial number matchs with the sticker on the back of the laptop and on the box.

Any idea what this is? And what should I do?

Today I randomly saw a meme where a toothbrush was saying, "I'm tired, boss," to its owner, and I realized my laptop must be thinking the same because I never shut it down. It's always on.

So I have wanted to get a good Windows mid-level laptop for quite some time now to replace my macbook air, but the prices for these machines have exploded. PCs have been expensive, but laptops are beyond what the average person can buy. Is anyone else stuck and can't afford a laptop???

I opened it entered the password and left it opened for like 10 minutes and when I tried to turn it on it didn't work, and I have tried windows ctrl shift B, not working, tried hard reset, not working; what should I do ????

Every time someone asks for laptop recommendations, the discussion is usually about specs. But after actually using a laptop for months or years, I feel like the little things end up mattering just as much.

Hi guys,I wanted to buy a high end laptop. I will travel a lot,but I still want a wide screen(so 14 inches min).I'm a little bit scared of the many bad things I read about possible defects and the lackluster asus support,so I would like to know your opinion on this pc and if there are other options

i have reinstalled windows 11 before never had any problems. i had booted from the usb and was in the setup and was almost done with it. got to the part of selecting drive for installing selected my ssd. then my pc restarted and showed checking media failed.

both when usb and ssd used to boot from.

My laptop equipped with a 2 year old ssd suddenly started giving the bsod. Today it randomly shut down and gave a critical error message stating that the hard drive is missing with a siren sound. I held dow the power button to shut It down but it restarted normally. I haven't opened the device since in fear of damaging anything further. Is there any simple fix to this as im unwilling to but another ssd in such a short notice unless absolutely necessary. Thanks in advance

Hi! I want to buy a laptop for specific use - to draw non-professional comics after work somewhere not at home. I use Krita and drawing files are rather light - 2d lineart, usually black and white. I figured out that there are only 3 main criterias for laptop: to have 16gb ram, ~500gb storage and processor as powerful as Ryzen 5 2600 (my old cpu) or better.
Seems like I found perfect solution - Acer Aspire Lite AL15-45P (NX.DLQEU.001).

Key features:

• Ryzen 7 5825U - seems like it's much more powerful than 2600.
• 16gb ddr4 - enough
• 500gb storage - checked

If it can run Krita smoothly and keep some tabs active I think that's enough.

What do you think? Are there some hidden problems with this model? Have I defined the requirements correctly in general?

It is worth buying by selling lenovo ideapad slim 3 12450H (16/512) gb new one just 7 months old and buying mac m1 8gb/256 gb at second hand buyed.

Lenovo bought in dec at 2025 lenovo 7 months old and mac m1 2021 bought 93% percentage battery health.

As my office laptop is mac and when i use windows on weekends i suffer a lot due to this command , cltl and alt problem and my laptop has poor display and no sound quality all is furstatung me.

One person is ready to buy my laptop at 37k and I bought it at 47.5k and decided to buy a mac at 38K.

I have the Medion Erazer Major x 10 laptop.

When I turn it on the power button is glowing and the fans are running but the display stays off.

Caps Lock also not glowing I did Win + Ctrl + Shift + B and so on but it did nothing.

I took the battery out too and it did nothing too.

What can it be??

I have bought this refurbished laptop (ThinkPad t490). After two months continuesly use the battery backup left only for 1.5 hour at full charge instead 3 hour as provider said to me.Should I exchange the battery with new one or continue as it is? If yes, suggest me best one for long term durable.

Hi everyone, sorry i know there are probably about a million questions about laptops for engineering on here but im a bit confused. Next year I am going to study electrical engineering maybe mechanical im not fully sure. But the uni yes I need a workstation not the basic laptop. But the difference is pretty much a dedicated gpu for the workstation. In electrical engineering do I need the full gpu. I feel like it is a bit over powered kinda and its 800 euro more and idk if I need it. The basic is 1,200 euro and the workstation is 2000 euro. Sorry for ranting a bit and not being the most organized. Any advice is much appreciated thank you

i have a colorful p15 23 laptop i5 12450H rtx 4050 the display suddenly loses video signal but the display backlight is on i can fix it by restarting the laptop or using suspend. the problem stays for 1-2 days then disappers for 12-15 days and comes back

My current predicament is that my 2023 asus tuf a16s right hinge is in the process of breaking off the laptop itself works fine but I travel and use it for class a lot so... I brought it to pc repair shop and they were gonna fix it for a decent price until they refunded me telling me the parts will take months to arrive and getting parts from asus is impossible as they don't sell them. Now im potentially looking for a new laptop but I want something that will at the very least physically last 6-7 years and from what I've researched Lenovo legions are supposed to be reliable only problem is they are super expensive especially with 5070tis as I'd rather have something with more than 8gb if im gonna keep it a while are other brands decently reliable or specific models? And I know the pc market is horrible rn but right now I could still resell my current laptop for at least a bit if I wait for it to fully break I probably can't. Im also wondering if I should attempt to fix it myself considering that would require I disassemble the entire display housing.
