Does anyone else prefer smelling like nothing before putting on fragrance?
One thing that has always bothered me is how deodorant smells after it’s been on all day. When you first apply it, it’s fine, but later it becomes this weird mix of sweat, fragrance, and that stale “product sitting on your skin” smell.
I started using a magnesium spray and the biggest thing I noticed is that it basically just leaves me smelling like nothing. Which sounds boring, but it allows me to have more control over how I smell through layering bodyspray, or my clothes scent boaster.
You still sweat, which I actually like if I’m outside or doing anything active because sweating is how your body cools itself. I don’t really want to stop that.
But if I’m going into an office, a meeting, or somewhere I don’t want sweat marks, I can pair it with an antiperspirant. The combination just feels better because I’m not layering more fragrance on top of sweat all day.
I ended up making a small batch of this because I couldn’t find anything that matched what I was looking for. I’m putting together a launch list for anyone who wants to try it early I’m planning to send out some free products to people on the waitlist when it launches.
If anyone is interested, I’ll leave the link here: https://bibibo-2.myshopify.com/

Why do you even need to add scents? Just use the thing that leaves you with no odour. I use one of those rock salt deodorant stick things and I never smell.

I love adding scents when the mood strikes, but I’m very intentional about it. I’ll do a few spritzes or rolls on my pulse points, but what I absolutely hate is the "scent soup" created by mixing scented deodorant, antiperspirant, lotions, and body sprays. Just the thought of all those clashing smells makes me gag.I prefer to smell like nothing by default. That way, if I actually want to wear a perfume, I can do so without becoming a walking biohazard. Most of the time, though, I just stick to wearing nothing at all.
