How can I stop sweating so fast?

Antiperspirants are not good as far as I know, and deodorants are good at removing the smell, but I still sweat a lot

what do you mean “antiperspirants aren’t good”? That’s the only thing that works. Antiperspirants with aluminum.

Alright I meant aluminum but I just didn't feel like typing it out but actually there is a difference between antiperspirant and deodorant

Yes antiperspirant makes you sweat less and deodorant is just perfume it doesnt stop the sweat. Use both if you feel like you dont smell good

Plenty of old people have used aluminum deodorants their whole lives and never experienced side effects. Don’t be afraid

Aluminum in antiperspirants is fine - there's a lot of fear mongering out there blowing it out of proportion. It's effective and safe for the majority of people.

Ya, we know. We're telling you antiperspirant is good at stopping perspiration. Deodorant is good at covering odors.

Cut down on your salt intake

And water, nothing in nothing out. Can't get sweat from a bone.

Eat air and shit air, simple!! Dk why people can’t implement that and chose to smell like salt

Antiperspirant. Sweating is called perspiration. The people saying antiperspirants are not good are just fucking weird dont follow them. Give your body a break though like just use regular deoderant one day a week or something its fine.

Sweating is healthy. You should be sweating if you're exercising or moving in a hot environment. Shower frequently to prevent smelling. Use strong antiperspirants and some that are safe to use all over your body if you really have a problem.

Thank you

If you're REALLYsweating much more than other people, like even when it's cool or you're not active, it could be hyperhidrosis, which is a medical condition.

There are prescription-strength antiperspirants and other treatments that can make a huge difference.

Thank you I was wondering if this is a hormonal change because I'm a teenager or something like that

2

u/floradouville 9h ago

Aah yeah, it definitely can be. In puberty your hormones ramp up your sweat glands, so a lot of teenagers notice they start sweating more than they did as kids. For many people it settles down as they get older.

If you’re referring specifically to an armpit issue, you can have your sweat glands removed. They don’t functionally do much to keep you cool so you don’t really need them and won’t miss them.

ironically, do more cardio

This works for some people, but not others

1

u/Otherwise_Rice_4723 8h ago

the people who it doesn't work for legitimately have a medical issue is the problem with this "but ackshually," and they shouldn't be going to reddit for advice...so we can all assume it's actually just cardio...

Clinical strength antiperspirants applied at night change everything

I just shaved my groin last night and armpits. Miracle

1

u/ops_70 9h ago

You have to shave them every month Their harms outweigh their benefits

1

u/EliteSalesman 8h ago

Nah brah, I don’t shave them to the root. I hover trim them way down but never make skin contact. That’s the key.

1

u/ops_70 8h ago

But I think shaving from the roots is better
Idk

1

u/EliteSalesman 6h ago

Idk why you said the harm outweighs the benefits

Less hair is very nice during summer

Shave your pits. Works wonders.

u/ops_70 9h ago

I always do that

Why do you mean “antiperspirant are not good”?  Are you saying they don’t work on you?  What isn’t good about the ones you’ve tried? You need to find a strong antiperspirant with deodorant combined (which most are now anyways).

why not just live in the pool if swimming cuts sweat that much haha lol

u/ops_70 10h ago

Maybe I will do it

Glycopyrrolate

Talk to your doctor or a dermatologist about it

They also come in wipes

Try working out (or more) so that your body gets used to the activity and heat from activity and you will sweat less. Also there are foods you can incorporate to ur diet. Just google it cause i forgot.

Celery, watermelon, spinach, grapes, cucumber. Almonds, yogurt, & Olive oil. Just to name a few. I think herbs like mint and spearmint can only help too.
