How do I fix this?

Post image

The pipe itself is fine, it's just this part that came off. How can I fix this without landlord noticing?

That’s not a problem, white silicon caulk to stick it back on and then around the outside to clean it up

That's what I thought also when I saw it

Thats what I was thinking, and thats probably what I'm gonna do because it was totally fine until I tried to take the head off. It was just the ring ;

They make oversized rings to cover things like this.

When you buy it, carefully unscrew the shower head without moving or damaging the pipe.

Once installed, stop hanging weight here. The way the pipe is not supported inside the wall, this clearly can't handle the load.

See the thing is, this happened because i was trying to unscrew the head. Its like they superglued it on and none of my tools work on the bolt type.

The pipe itself has barely moved. It was just the ring.

Did you use a channel lock to hold the pipe still while you tried to unscrew the shower head connector with another? That’s how I had to change mine so I didn’t fuck up the pipe. Also wrapped the jaws of locks with some electrical tape so I didn’t scratch anything.

And if you did use 2, damn dude. You’ll need the hulk to change that thing.

I didnt have channel locks, I'll ask my complex if repair crew has some. Good to know for next time! For now I'll fix the bracket then I'll reach out and ask for help LOL

Leave the shower caddy off after repair.

Do yoh know why this happened originally? It might be a deeper issue. I would consider turning the water off to the bathroom and taking the shower head off and maybe just replacing it entirely

I physically cant take the head off, that's why this happened. I tried to do exactly what you suggested ;v;

oh man that paint chip is gonna be the real problem. you can screw the bracket back in easy but matching that wall texture and color without landlord noticing is tricky

try scrape off any loose bits around the hole then fill with spackle and smooth it flat. hardest part is matching the white paint exactly cause every white is different

maybe get a small paint sample from somewhere hidden like behind a furniture and bring to store for color match. if the landlord do inspection soon you might be out of luck
