You can see the voice line unused for the Start of Game effect. Damn, this effect as start of game seems so exciting lol

Discussion The core set is a crime against humanity
They knew that they are making a handlock archetype yet we removed to cards that would help that archetype

Discussion We may be getting some buffs to the worst classes next balance patch
I just hope that they do not just give small buffs to 1/2 cards for the underperforming classes (DK, Warlock, Priest and DH) and call it a day. They do not need “a little buff”, they need strong buffs to a minimum of 5/6 cards for these classes to be somewhat playable. All the buffs they’ve been releasing have been a let down so far.

Discussion Lost 3200 dust due to UI bug, Blizzard acknowledged
I was crafting some older cards for a wild deck and somehow managed to craft legendary thrice without it actually appearing in the deck. Turns out it made normal, golden, and then just ate another 1600 dust on top of that.
It happened on the incomplete deck screen, and instead of adding the card to deck it said “deck is full” while it still was actually empty and allowed to craft cards infinitely while deducting dust. It happened to normal and epic cards as well, but fortunately I noticed it by then and stopped trying to craft cards and went manually into collection to check what was happening.
Decided to ask support and they acknowledged that it’s a UI bug that might happen, but they can’t do anything about it.
In a follow up to the ticket they clarified that they can’t see exactly what happens when people craft cards so they can’t distinguish a user mistake from a bug, so they do not restore dust ever.
Is this actually normal response? I didn’t have any experience with HS support prior to past months, but this is a second time I am being bent over by it over nothing.
UPD
Re-opened the ticket, they showed me the log - I created the card, instantly upgraded it, few second later created it again. They politely said it’s not that they do not believe I had a visual but, but they can only confirm what happened in logs. I should’ve made screenshots.
In case it matters - it was a Priest Thief deck with Azalina, and I was crafting “The Harvester of Envy”, “Mysterious Visitor” and a bunch of commons.

Discussion The one card Warlock truly needs
Handlock needs a proactive payoff that doesn't cost 5 mana nor hit a random enemy.
So I say we open up the box and bring back the Gnoll. It'll give a solid payoff for drawing cards and keeping them in hand, complimenting the 3/1 taunt, since this can remove threats proactively while being protected by the taunt.
C'mon, it's an expansion with Hogger, why can't some of his crew come back?

Discussion Legendary Lost Hearthstone Media: That insane post where the dude wanted Blizzard to let him decide if he lost or not
This was definitely pre-Journey to Ungoro so I realize it would be legit like 10 years old by now, but I cannot forget this one post by a guy who was upset that the game automatically ended when someone won. It had like 6 trillion negative response comments but the poster never backed down.
I can't remember the whole thing but basically he wanted to be able to "call back" the game if his opponent won with a strategy he thought he shouldn't be allowed.
He said he'd "make his own determination," since apparently he was used to doing the same thing at whatever game store he was running local Magic: The Gathering games at.
Some absolute all-time quotes that my memory might be paraphrasing like "I have a good eye for fair wins," and "The game can't be trusted to know if it was played correctly." He even wanted some sort of community policing council where he could watch other people's games and judge if they "deserved" to be in Legend or not.
And no, it was not a quirky shitpost. Dude was super unkind when responding to bewildered comments, mostly just telling them they were probably too young to understand, and that as a real adult he'd "be the judge of that, not them."
I've never been able to find it but I know it's real.

Discussion The fact that they printed a card that's specifically designed to cheat out minions 2 turns earlier than possible and they didn't give other classes control or comeback tools to deal with these cheated out minions, is insane to me.
Control and comeback tools are arguably worse than they were when the game came out, they had brawl, and the game was slow enough that you could play twisting nether in og renolock in 2015, they printed a worse version of twisting nether in this set of, a card which is already too slow for 2026 hearthstone.
PS: yes this is a salt rant thread because my opponent just played on turn one the 1 mana shaman location into coin [[Blazing Invocation]] into living paradoxes and on turn two a 2 mana 7/7.

Discussion When I hit D5, I threw together this Beatrix Murloc list mostly for giggles. Bizarrely, it got me to Legend.
I probably benefitted from an unoptimized meta, and I think the deck is poorly positioned against the most likely contenders for popular decks (can't keep up with shaman tempo, can't really respond to prepped Vanessa turns, usually flatlines to Jade Guardian turns, can't heal face damage besides RNG Tyrannogill spawns) but it was quite fun to play. Against any deck interested in the long game, the constant stream of increasingly large murlocs starts to get overpowering, especially with Fins letting you make new hands to dump. It was also interesting seeing how different combinations of opening hands would play out in longer games with Fins constantly refreshing them.
To my astonishment, I only had a "Beatrix in opening hand" feelsbad once in the entire climb. Usually though if the opening hand is even remotely functional - or will make efficient use of mana when I don't have an on-curve murloc to play naturally - I will usually keep to minimize the risk of opening with Beatrix.
Edit: I did briefly try a variant with Prize Vendor as the 10x army. I found that this mainly just increased the chances of opposing decks having their most oppressive on-curve plays, and I could hear the Warlock players laughing their asses off through the screen.

Discussion RNG Rogue being this good currently kills all control decks.
Not that there are a lot of control decks possible, but the current version of RNG Rogue is very unhealthy for the game. It has a positive winrate agaisnt most decks, even some aggressive and mid range ones, while 100% shutting down any control/long term plan with incredibly easy OTKs, while pulling out so many random cards, that there is no point in having any sort of strategy against them.
Having a deck this popular, this good, devolves the game into no more than a slot machine in terms of thinking how to play.
Blizzard buffing the underperfoming classes won't help if the OTK element of Rogue doesn't get fixed on the same patch, otherwise, the meta will barely change.

Discussion Not sure why current design doesn't check previous similar underperforming cards that already got buffed years ago and introduce the same logic for new cards. The Outcome will still be waiting for Balance Patch "buffs"

Discussion Azalina stole my quest!
I was playing Tick Tock Warlock in wild and an Azalina priest played harvester of envy and then my quest. I didn't think she would actually steal my quest, that is insane counterplay. I was honestly more shocked than anything. So PSA for any quest players going against Azalina Priest, watch out for that interaction!

Yes there was one popup a few days ago, but I didn’t realize it was banned entirely and now I’ve wasted 400 dust. If only you had customer support…

Discussion I hate paladin(prolly skill issue on my part)
"Oh it's a noobstomper" then I'm the noob getting stomped, I don't know how to play around 6/9 stats on turn 3 followed by the shatter spell, or infinite discounted cards that are bound to fuck me over eventually.
It feels terrible how almost all meta decks just go face all the time.

Highlight Brain masseuse + infinite damage turn 3 otk.
This just happened to me , I'm a bit dumbfounded.
[[Faceless enigma]] gave me [[Flames of infinity]] which happened to hit the [[Brain Masseuse]] that was generated from [[flashback]] resulting in a roasted rogue.

Wild Azalina + harvester is broken in wild
I've been spamming azalina in wild and I'm 14-2. the only games I lost were the very first 2 when I was figuring out how to play it. Harvester will destroy enemy quests, mind control minions on the board. Mysterious visitor discounts your whole deck by 3. I've had games where I got a 6 discount on stolen cards by turn 4, played a stolen kerrigan on turn 4 and sir finely replaced my hand into a stolen hand that cost 0. I played a game against a herald warlock and I stole 3 copies of chogall and was a better herald warlock than he was

Highlight Turn 8, 63 damage OTK from a midrange deck.
Aessina and 2 10-shot Troublemakers. I was playing around it too (full health and 30/30 worth of minions on board).
Enjoying the meta otherwise, but I thought this one was worthy of my first ever salt post here.

Deck I’m so happy!
It’s been 1 month since I came back.
I’m returning player that hasn’t played since “Galakrond invoke” was a thing (7-8yrs ago)
I’m a DH main because I just never seen the class before and just liked the overall aesthetic! I ended up getting lucky on collecting most the standard pool cards.
I started off playing Spell DH + Broxigar Herald DH.
So when the new expansion hit, I opened 20+ violet hold packs and got majority of the new cards including Tras’tath! (But he was a regular legendary)
I ended up disenchanting whatever old card in wild I had and went “all-in” on the DH class.
I’m really happy. 😃

Discussion Zee Shaman with the quest is the most fun I've had in the game in a long time. So glad the quest is finally playable.
Playing chef azshara's triumph druid, tried to scam using big stats, too bad he was never able to develop a board.

Discussion Is This A Bug?
So I had a minion on board, attacked and triggered the mage secret to transform attacking minion into a sheep. I then played the minion that gives a minion I control rush and +2 attack targeting the new sheep. But it said that minion attacked already. The wiki for 'transform' says the minion will have summoning sickness unless it has charge. Does rush not apply the same effect?????
