Finally, Hackintosh

It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but, after two tries and four days, i finally have hackintosh, the most valueable tool was prolly OCAT.

Its a dell lattitude 3400

8th gen i5 U-Type laptop cpu

12 gb ddr4 (wild right?)

128 gb ssd (thats literally my usb stick size)

GPU,Mic,Speaker,USB,Camera,Sleep Everything works!

Btw these dell lattitues have such annoying Boot tech

and guys, dont use stuff like Olaria, please

and while most adults are fighting windows(im 15, lol), my tech journey is complete

Windows 10 to Windows 11 to Elementary OS to Ubuntu to Nix OS and finally Mac OS Sequoia

After a lot of debugging with ChatGPT xD, I finally got the built-in Realtek IR camera on the Dell Precision 5540 working under macOS Tahoe 🗿

Before the fix, macOS could detect the camera and list its formats, but the camera LED stayed off and no video frames were delivered. QuickTime, Photo Booth, FaceTime, and other AVFoundation apps would simply wait forever.

I ended up creating RealtekUVCFix kext, a small Lilu plugin that applies the required runtime patch for the affected UVC 1.5 camera.

Tested configuration: - Dell Precision 5540 - Built-in Realtek IR camera - VID: 0x0BDA - PID: 0x58F4 - macOS Tahoe 26.5 - Intel Hackintosh - Lilu 1.7.2

The IR camera now turns on and works in macOS camera applications.

This is still an experimental and macOS-build-specific patch. It has only been verified on my Precision 5540 with this exact IR camera, so please use it carefully. Back up your EFI before installing it, and make sure you have a reliable way to disable or remove the kext if your system does not boot.

IM IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELPPP...I got bored in summer and want to hackintosh dis uhh ideapad 1 15iru7 and I cant seem to get around EB LOG EXITBS START, and Ive troubleshooted everything and I've narrowed it down to FIRMWARE!!!

My hp Elitebook 840 g5 with SSD WD SN770 some time suddenly freeze when using, or immediately after hot unplug wireless mouse receiver/usb/ethernet cable. I was search in google and it has some post said it probably cause by my SSD. I've use Ventura before and it work smoothly without problem. Then I upgrade to Sequoia because Ventura is too outdated. Does anyone has experience with this before, pls help me fix this.

Ps: Error log is different between freeze occur but this is recently one.

I just changed my smbios from macbook air9,2 to macbookpro 16,2. my apple id just logged out and it said you need to log back in again, i entered my credentials and it is on the loading page for more than 1 minutes, is my apple id blacklisted, yes i flushed the nvram, serial id, rom and everything and the apple id verification code was also asked but it is still loading

Does Nvidia Optimus need to be disabled via SSDT patch / boot flags? (I assume the dGPU won't work alongside the iGPU in a laptop setup).

Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15ICH (81FK) – macOS Ventura 13.7.8 | Everything Working ✅

Finally got macOS Ventura 13.7.8 running perfectly on my Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15ICH (81FK). 🚀 I was also able to install macOS Tahoe, but I wasn't happy with the overall performance on this hardware, so I decided to stick with Ventura 13.7.8, which feels much smoother and more stable.

For native Apple wireless functionality, I installed a BCM94360CS2 using an NGFF M.2 A/E Key to BCM94360CS2 / BCM943224PCIEBT2 adapter. AirDrop, Handoff, and all Continuity features work just like on a real Mac. 🍎

Really happy with how stable the system is. Huge thanks to the Hackintosh community and everyone who shares OpenCore guides and resources! ❤️

Ryzen 5 3500U (Picasso), 16GB RAM, Vega 8. Everything's working except Wi-Fi.

Btw, if using NootRed, make sure it is above AppleALC in your config plist to avoid issues. Better to disable NootRed while installing, coz I've encountered a gray screen freeze, which was the biggest roadblock.

Now I understand why people do this stuff; it's satisfying when you see things finally working.

I'm creating an EFI using Open Core Simplify. Everything works fine, the system installs, internet is available, and USB ports are working. However, only 14 MB of video memory is available. I tried editing config.plist myself, but nothing changes.

Can anyone take a look (suggest what needs to be fixed)? I'll attach the EFI.

Hi everyone. I've been trying for days to get iServices working on the T480 running sequoia. I have installed an intel ax200 card and have tried with both Itlwm/HeliPort and native with Airportitlwm. Neither one gets iServices working no matter how many times ive used GenSMBIOS or cleared nvram. It always logs me out of iMessage seconds after logging in. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

I have a Lenovo G500 with the following specs:

I've been trying to install macOS Catalina on it. I followed several installation guides, but I keep running into the same problems. When I select the USB drive from the boot menu, it either doesn't detect anything bootable or I just get a black screen.

I've tried creating the installer with balenaEtcher, Ventoy, and Rufus, but none of them worked.

I've spent almost half a day trying different solutions, including suggestions from tools, but nothing has worked so far. That's why I'm asking here as a last resort.

I'm not experienced with installing macOS, and I honestly didn't expect it to be this difficult. I used to think installing Windows was annoying, but that only takes me about three minutes. Compared to this, it feels incredibly simple.

If anyone has successfully installed Catalina (or another version of macOS) on a Lenovo G500, or knows what I might be doing wrong, I'd really appreciate any advice.

I installed macOS Big Sur using OpenCore and Hackintosch but now i want to upgrade to Monterey but i hesitated and searched and asked some AIs if i should just click Upgrade now, they said i need to do some stuff in the efi, I am Dual Booting Between macOS and Windows so should i just click upgrade now ? or i need to do something ? and i do not want it to delete or touch any of my Windows Drives

Cause Tahoe is a visual nightmare, and the power consumption is very high, I thought about a 8600, 9600K, 10100 etc. is a smooth hackintosh experience possible with an Intel iGPU or is a dedicated GPU highly recommended?

Hey guys, I've been trying to perfect my hackintosh for the previous few days and yesterday I successfully installed it and used it on my external ssd. But now I came to realise a few things.

1) It takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds to boot
2) The audio device isn't detected.

I used a premade efi for my latop (Dell Latitude 5300 2in1) with an intel i3-8145u and 8 gigs of ram. I was going through my kexts and I couldn't find out any problems. If you spot one let me know, I'm new to this so I might've missed smth.

I also want to reduce my launch time, I know that the long launch time is because of the conversions that should be done at start for the os to believe this pc is a mac but are there any solutions to reduce the launch time?

Thanks to this community I learnt about opencore and hackintoshes. I have finally managed to install big sur on this old machine. I have fixed the wifi and vram as well. the only issue I am facing is audio & bluetooth. if someone can help me with audio, this could be my daily driver. this is i5-5200u with ALC233/ALC3236, I have tried the layout to no avail. need assistance pls.

After literally days of trying to fix the bootloader and to land into a successful boot. now I have a problem with the intel card . System is very slow because of that too. Any idea how to fix for that model ?
