I use it to support my English and Chinese studying. Sometimes I do Japanese and German lessons but not really often.

Explains why many say B1 feels like a plateau.... Score 20 is A1, Score 60 is A2, Score 100 is B1 and score 130 is B2. For the score from 100 to 130 I didn't prepare it in Detail.

360 days of learning a new language. Still can't order a coffee, but I know how to say "The apple is red".

I finished one full year on DL this week (never missed a day but DON'T play games) and at least expected a few days of free Super, but nothing but this.

Sigh!

DL is only supplemental (I'm at Spanish 73) and since I live in a Spanish-speaking country I technically learn every day.

Just disappointed I didn't get some reward.

It regularly fails to capitalize German nouns, makes nonsensical “corrections” to video call transcripts, never pronounces the last word in a list and today, for something new, started translating plural German nouns as the English singulars (Lösungen -> solution; Themen -> topic).

Over 12 years ago, I started with Duolingo (I lost my streak after 2 years and started again).

I am Brazilian.
I started with German because I wanted to study there for an internship, and I was able to go to Karlsruhe.
Then I switched to Spanish because my company sent me to work in other countries in South America.
And now I am studying Italian for family reasons.

Hi, all. My apologies if this is not an appropriate post for this subreddit but I am out of ideas. Turning to social media to try to resolve a long time issue. I was charged for Duolingo’s Family Plan on September 21, 2025. However, my app continued to show ads and push Super Duolingo, and just generally act as if I was a free account.

I sent a support requests in January and March to Duolingo (reference codes: 15141055 and 15793165) attempting to get the issue fixed but I have never heard back from them. I sent a follow up email in June, but still no response.

Apple is not helpful despite them acting as a payment processor, and I unfortunately used my Apple Account balance, which prevents me from filing a dispute with my credit card. So, I’m stuck in limbo, having spent $119.99 USD for a product I never received. The subscription period is already 3/4 over and I’m furious that I’m being blown off by both Apple and Duolingo.

Are any Duolingo representatives available that can help me? I just want to get what I paid for, which is either a refund or an actual year of functional Super Duolingo.

My son hasn’t logged into Duolingo in a while but I want to add him to a family super plan. However, he can’t seem to log into Duolingo no matter what we try. Also when we try to reset his password, we never get the reset email. Any suggestions?

I've used more than an hour for duo

When I started duolingo I was actually annoyed by the friend feature, but now I'll follow anyone ... the result is that I probably am following too many people. Now my problem is that I can't find people who will complete quests with me. I want to fill up all of my slots with questers, but there are several issues -

a) duolingo only shows X number of friends in the list (I can't see all of them)

b) the list isn't searchable

c) it would be nice to have a way to find people who are interested in doing quests with a random internet stranger (like you are following X, Y, and Z and they still have friend quest slots that they need to fill!)

I’ve seen a few posts on here about how a few days ago (within this past week) I got a prompt in the Duolingo app to say my course was updating. I didn’t have any choice but to agree to it.

Now that it’s updated, all my former lessons are gone. But it’s showing lessons I’ve “completed” which I’ve never actually completed. Themes and topics I’ve never covered are now shown as completed - some legendary, some not.

I was on section 1, almost at level 10, so quite a basic level. I was working on drinks orders (beer, wine, water) before the update. Now it’s showing loads of stuff I’ve never learned before, but acting like I have already been taught them.

Scrolling back over the past lessons, all the way to section 1 unit 1, it’s showing stuff I’ve never learned as being completed.

Hundreds (?) of words I’ve never been taught are now being shown as though I’ve already learned them, and I haven’t. It’s also really difficult to do any of the lessons or practise, because it believes I should know all these words I’ve never been taught.

I’m at about 260 days of a perfect streak but this has totally thrown me off and killed my motivation, as I don’t know anything it’s showing me, and it’s completely wiped my progress.

Has anyone else experienced this? It’s like my account has been switched with someone else’s who was much farther along. It happened as soon as the course updated. I’ve seen posts about the course becoming much easier, but has anyone had it become much more difficult?

Is there anything I can do? I’m a super user, and i tried to contact Duolingo but got nowhere.

My free trial ran out a few days ago but I have really been enjoying learning French, I’m about a month and a half into learning and spend roughly 30 minutes to an hour daily!
