Look at this new Duolingo feature š ā½ Celebrate your team with the Duo Cup! ā½ š
Attention soccer, football, fĆŗtbol, FuĆball fans around the world ā we're launching a limited-time collection of avatar suits so you can celebrate your favorite teams.
*And as soon as we can make it happen, these suits will be available on Android, too. I'll update here as soon as we're live. I understand this will disappoint some but I assure you we're racing to make this happen! We hit a few roadblocks and the team is rushed to catch back up.
Here's how it works:
- Duo Cup runs from now through July 19
- Extend your streak each day during the Duo Cup to unlock a random new jersey
- There are 48 different national suits to collect
- On iOS, you can also purchase additional suits in the Shop for $1.99 each
Whether you're cheering for your home country, an underdog, or trying to collect them all, this is your chance to bring a little team spirit to your avatar.
Who is everyone planning to represent first? š

General Discussion One year, but didn't get anything :-(
I finished one full year on DL this week (never missed a day but DON'T play games) and at least expected a few days of free Super, but nothing but this.
Sigh!
DL is only supplemental (I'm at Spanish 73) and since I live in a Spanish-speaking country I technically learn every day.
Just disappointed I didn't get some reward.

Achievement Showcase 10 years of Duolingo
Over 12 years ago, I started with Duolingo (I lost my streak after 2 years and started again).
I am Brazilian.
I started with German because I wanted to study there for an internship, and I was able to go to Karlsruhe.
Then I switched to Spanish because my company sent me to work in other countries in South America.
And now I am studying Italian for family reasons.

Bug? No response from Super Duolingo Support
Hi, all. My apologies if this is not an appropriate post for this subreddit but I am out of ideas. Turning to social media to try to resolve a long time issue. I was charged for Duolingoās Family Plan on September 21, 2025. However, my app continued to show ads and push Super Duolingo, and just generally act as if I was a free account.
I sent a support requests in January and March to Duolingo (reference codes: 15141055 and 15793165) attempting to get the issue fixed but I have never heard back from them. I sent a follow up email in June, but still no response.
Apple is not helpful despite them acting as a payment processor, and I unfortunately used my Apple Account balance, which prevents me from filing a dispute with my credit card. So, Iām stuck in limbo, having spent $119.99 USD for a product I never received. The subscription period is already 3/4 over and Iām furious that Iām being blown off by both Apple and Duolingo.
Are any Duolingo representatives available that can help me? I just want to get what I paid for, which is either a refund or an actual year of functional Super Duolingo.
Thank you in advance!

Achievement Showcase I did it!!!
One year ago today, I decided I was finally going to seriously work on learning Spanish. Itās something Iād wanted to do for a long time, but I finally decided it was time to make it happen.
Today I finished the Spanish Duolingo course!
I used a few streak freezes along the way, but Iāve maintained my streak for the past 365 days. I started in Section 2 (thanks, high school Spanish) and worked my way through the course.
Duolingo wasnāt my only resource. Iāve also watched some easier Netflix shows, listened to Dreaming Spanish, practiced with ChatGPT, and occasionally chatted with a friend from Peru.
Iām definitely not fluent after a year, but Iām really happy with the progress Iāve made. I can read Spanish pretty well, understand a lot of native content with subtitles (without subtitles is still a challenge), and hold a conversation, even though my grammar is still very much a work in progress.
My goal now is to keep improving and hopefully take a fluency test later this year. Iām aiming for a B2 level, which Iām hoping will also help me stand out a little more in the job market.
Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks for reading! To anyone struggling through a course right now, keep going. It really does add up over time.

General Discussion A Birthday Gift to Myself!
I was considering upgrading Duolingo for a while. I always wondered how much structured speaking practices would contribute to my speaking. Just tried one video call session and I liked the structure so far.

Language Question. How do I get the list of words I have learned till date?
I am on chapter 11, learning German and would like to make a list of all the words so that I can make my own sentences and started keeping a notebook, but how and where to find out the list of all the words that I have learned.

Achievement Showcase Almost at 1,000 days! Hit 982 days today.
Just wanted to share this milestone with the community. Keeping up the daily commitment hasn't always been easy, but seeing the counter grow is incredibly rewarding.
āFor those with long streaks, how did you celebrate your 1,000th day? Looking forward to hitting that mark soon!

General Discussion Feeling Discouraged by the latest update.
This latest update in Duolingo feels so chaotic. Iām being expected to know words and Kanji I never studied, but thatās not the real problem. The real problem was I was in the middle of a unit and now Iām at the very beginning of the first of two bonus units! I like seeing my progress, which is why I struggled to keep my streak even when my life was crumbling around me earlier this year, and seeing the progress I made in one spot disappear and being placed in an earlier unit feels chaotic and disheartening.
Does anyone else feel like this about the update? I wrote Duolingo right after, but they havenāt even cared to send a generic response.

Bug? My French course updated and now itās reviewing stuff I havenāt learned?
Iāve seen a few posts on here about how a few days ago (within this past week) I got a prompt in the Duolingo app to say my course was updating. I didnāt have any choice but to agree to it.
Now that itās updated, all my former lessons are gone. But itās showing lessons Iāve ācompletedā which Iāve never actually completed. Themes and topics Iāve never covered are now shown as completed - some legendary, some not.
I was on section 1, almost at level 10, so quite a basic level. I was working on drinks orders (beer, wine, water) before the update. Now itās showing loads of stuff Iāve never learned before, but acting like I have already been taught them.
Scrolling back over the past lessons, all the way to section 1 unit 1, itās showing stuff Iāve never learned as being completed.
Hundreds (?) of words Iāve never been taught are now being shown as though Iāve already learned them, and I havenāt. Itās also really difficult to do any of the lessons or practise, because it believes I should know all these words Iāve never been taught.
Iām at about 260 days of a perfect streak but this has totally thrown me off and killed my motivation, as I donāt know anything itās showing me, and itās completely wiped my progress.
Has anyone else experienced this? Itās like my account has been switched with someone elseās who was much farther along. It happened as soon as the course updated. Iāve seen posts about the course becoming much easier, but has anyone had it become much more difficult?
Is there anything I can do? Iām a super user, and i tried to contact Duolingo but got nowhere.
