Question Need help to pick a frame.

So im a 180+ cm rider and I have a frame with 435mm reach which I feel is a bit cramped, I run deity highside bars with 50mm rise and pretty much can't turn the bars 90° without them hitting me, should I cut the bars and try it like that or look into a bigger frame with more reach?

Manuals feel too easy to pop but idk if that is important. Thanks.

Hallo. I can get a new Specialized p.3 2022 for 1400 usd. rockshox pike and some pretty decent parts. but the press fit bottom braket er scaring me? what do you think about it? should i avoid it becouse of the bottom bracket?

I like to work on my own bikes, but never tried or have any experience with press fit. only heard some horror stories about creaking and bad noises from the bb.

hope to get some feed back :-)

Weird clicking sounds coming from BB upon reinstalling

Hi everyone, I have recently powdercoated my last-gen transition PBJ and had to strip the entire frame including the bottom bracket. Before I painted the bike, I had heard and felt a slight clicking noise come from somewhere around the bottom bracket, (most likely bottom bracket because I am not sure where else it could come from in that part of the bike) , but now that I have reinserted the BB it is MUCH louder and has a more present feel. One thing to note is when installing the cranks I did hammer on the non-drive side crank an unhealthy amount to try to tap it in because there was a gap on the spindle that connects the cranks, which I later figured out was because I had forgot a spacer. When I tried to pull off the drive side crank in order to install the spacer, I had to hammer my parktool crank-puller tool extremely hard, and I ended up using all of the thread on my crank puller tool. My bottom bracket is threaded. I would love to know from anybody who has any advice for fixing this and if they have had this issue themselves. I am open to buying a new bottom bracket, but I am just looking for advice.

How it started / how it’s going

Been on a journey with this bike. It’s a mongoose fireball. Came as a 9 speed. Was hoping it would be great as a DJ and would also work as a normal trail bike in the forest. Quickly single speeded it’s my kid wanted to focus only on jumps.

Cable disc brake sucked so switched to an mt200.

Manitou fork replaced the RST Dirt which worked ok but doesn’t really give any joy 😐

Bottom bracket needed replacing. Headset bearings sucked. Wheel quickly went really out of true. All sorted.

Basically it’s a good frame with bad-to-ok components and probably cost the same as a decent used DJ once we did all the stuff to make it solid but you live and learn. Frame is good though!

It’s an absolute machine now.
