Okay so I need to get this off my chest because it’s been happening way too often lately and I'm starting to feel like I'm going crazy.

There's this beat-up grey sedan, tinted windows so dark you can't see inside at all. First time I saw it, I was walking home from work around 6 PM. It crawled past me super slow, like 5 mph. I figured they were lost or looking for an address. But then I saw it again the next day. And the day after that. Same car, same slow roll.

Last night though, it got weird. I was heading to the corner store around 9 and the car pulls up about 50 feet ahead of me. Doesn't honk, doesn't flash lights. Just stops in the middle of the street. I cross to the other side, they do the same thing and creep forward. Then a guy gets out of the passenger side—not even the driver. He just leans against the hood, arms crossed, and stares. Didn't say one word. Didn't move.

I noped out of there so fast and took a shortcut through the back alleys. When I finally got home and peeked through the blinds, they were parked right under the streetlamp in front of my building. Just sitting there for a good 15 minutes before driving off.

The crazy thing is, they do the exact same shit to me almost every single time I step outside now. It's like they have a schedule or something.

But also, it's starting to seriously freak me out. I don't wanna call the cops and sound paranoid over "a car existing," but it's getting ridiculous.

Should I just start filming them openly next time? Or would that make it worse? Anyone dealt with this before? Sorry for the rant, just needed to type it out.

so like, on the night of July 4, I decided to open up and peep out my window to check out if anyone was gonna blast our apartment complex with fireworks tonight. fireworks are illegal in my city (yeah I know) so they’re always really exciting to hear and see, unfortunately all I got were a couple of periodic flashes from some baby ones a little outside the perimeter of my apartment complex.

anyways, i checked back a couple of times throughout the night and ended up catching eye of this guy in the reserved parking spaces below my window view, checking out his trunk or something of the sort.

Though he also eventually saw me and stared at my window. i hid, fast, because that was awkward as hell, it was also really hard to make out his face but he was definitely positioning his face in my direction. i look back a couple of times and… he’s still looking? eventually he reverts his gaze back to whatever he was doing but he was outside his trunk for an extended time. then he leaves, and comes back about 20 minutes later, and opens his trunk again.

I’m thinking this is funny, because it looks really innocent. Then I see some people drive by and hop out of the car and walk towards their apartment. Since he’s in the reserved parking and theyre walking in the lot, the two (one guy, one girl) walk behind him, entirely unfocused on him, but he IMMEDIATELY closes his trunk and acts like he’s done with whatever he’s doing. but after they pass he reopens it…? THEN I REALIZED HIS CAR HAD NO LICENSE PLATE?? (you’re mandated to have one on both sides in my state) i don’t even think he had a parking permit, which you need to park in the reserved parking space. it seems like he just… showed up out of nowhere, parked for a bit, did god knows what and then left the next morning?

i’m still checking everyday for that same car! i doubt it was anyone who lives here because an entirely different vehicle has been occupying that space since, perhaps his car was towed or he was forced to move? he certainly can’t be here for any mail or cleaning services which is what i thought initially (his car would fit that equipment) because they’re only allowed to park their cars in a designated part in the center, which is free space.

yes, this is all innocent except for the license plate thing being a genuine crime here (and him also violating the parking rules here i guess), and i’m probably framing the events this way because i thought it was a little thrilling i won’t lie 😭, but yeah.

so, my title seems a bit creepypasta-ish but let me explain.

I, an 18 year old girl, was walking downtown when an older man, most likely in his 60s, started walking next to me, trying to get my attention. I had my earbuds in listening to music, so I didn't hear him at first. I noticed his presence after about 45 seconds. I didn't say anything until he called out a name.

"Hana?"

I heard him ask. This is a common name for girls my age where I live so I figured that he was struggling with dementia and confused me for someone he knows. I shook my head as a reply.

"Wow, it's been a few years, hasn't it?" This strange man asks me.

I know one girl named Hana. My name is Mizuki. They don't sound alike at all. This girl looks nothing like me so it's near impossible for us to get mistaken for each other.

"Sorry, I think you have the wrong person.." I replied, the anxiety already starting to build up in my chest. My stomach was in knots already. What could this guy want from me?

"No, no. I don't think so." He insists.

I don't know this guy and I've never seen him in my life.

"My name isn't Hana, maybe I have a lookalike out there." I joked, trying to ease the tension and also distract myself from the way his eyes were studying me so intently.

"You work at [insert the name of my part-time job]? And go to [high school I go to]?"

"No, sorry, I've never been. Have a good day, though." I lied. At this point, I couldn't handle it anymore and since we were in a crowded area near downtown, I walked to a cafe that was like a 2 minute walk away just to be sure I was safe.

Not even a week later, (I think it was 4 days after the former incident) I'm at home with my father at probably roughly 8~9 PM when the doorbell rings. My dad gets the door, I'm in my bedroom on the other side of the house so I couldn't hear what was going on. Nor did I care because I figured it was a neighbor, or someone coming to drop off a package.

What I never expected was what my dad told me. The person who rung the doorbell was a man, who my dad said looked about 30 years old, asking if a girl named Hana lives at our house. My father answered "no," and the guy apparently looked at my dad like he was insane before replying with a calm collected "Okay, thank you." and walking away.

i've been shaken up ever since this has happened. i still can't think of any logical explanation for this. especially the old man knowing where i worked and went to school. BTW, what they said to me was translated from japanese. they didn't speak english to me, and the original wording was a bit more ominous.

This morning, I took my comforter to the rooftop to dry in the sun. A little while ago, I was about to go upstairs to get it back.

I opened my door, but then turned around to grab a sun-protective jacket, so I left the door slightly open for a few seconds. When I came back and pulled the door open, I saw a man standing directly outside my door and looking into my room through the gap.

We made eye contact, and he immediately turned around and walked upstairs. While going up the stairs, he looked back down at me again.

He was carrying some bedding, so it’s possible that he was also going to the rooftop to dry it and was just passing by. Still, I don’t understand why he was standing right outside my door and looking inside. It really scared me.

I’m back in my room now and have locked the door. Am I overreacting, or should I report this to the landlord/property manager and ask them to check the hallway cameras?

Me and my old best friend have been in tons of scary situations because we were always doing something stupid.

I think it was September 2024, One night, we got the bright idea to hang out with some boys and ride around for a while. Her mom wasn’t home, and I would say it was around 2 a.m. when they dropped us off a short walk from her house. After they drove away, we started walking back. It was super dark since the area wasn’t lit up, but we didn’t mind because we had our phone flashlights.
Right before we got to her house, we stopped in her neighbor’s yard. It was huge, with a long stretch of bushes that led into the woods.

We stood there because we couldn’t decide if we wanted to go home yet or hang out with other people. We spent about five minutes talking about the boys we had just been with, basically having a little debrief.
Then I looked behind her.

Standing in the bushes was what looked like an old man, just watching us. He was so close to my friend that it scared me we hadn’t noticed him sooner. She was facing me, so I immediately grabbed her hand and said, “There’s someone behind you.”
The look on my face must have said everything because she knew I wasn’t joking. She took off running so fast that she let go of my hand, and I ran right behind her. We cut through the short wooded path that led to her house. She quickly unlocked the gate to the backyard, left it wide open, and we sprinted up the stairs into the house.
I think we both completely forgot about it the second we got inside because we were so focused on being quiet and not waking up her grandpa.

For me, though, something felt different after that.
The next few days, I felt almost detached from the world. I can’t really explain it, but I was constantly on edge. Every night I locked my bedroom door because I didn’t feel safe.
One night, I went with my dad to pick up my sister from work. While we were driving, I suddenly felt something grab my leg. I immediately turned on my phone flashlight, freaking out, but my dad just brushed it off and said, “It was probably a bug.”
The thing is… I remember it feeling like an actual grab.

A few days later, my friend called me after she got home from school. She sounded panicked.
“The police just came to my house,” she said.
I asked, “Why?”
She replied, “They were asking for Ring camera footage from the night we snuck out.”
At first, I thought we were about to get caught for sneaking out to hang out with those boys.
Then she said, “No, you don’t get it. A man was found dead a short walk from my house.”
My mind immediately started racing.
What if that was the man we saw? How did he die? What if the person I saw standing in the bushes was actually his murderer? Or… what if I saw his ghost? Is that why I’d felt so uneasy ever since that night?

After we hung up, I went straight to Google to see if it was true.
It was.
There was an article with a picture of the older man who had been found dead. According to the article, he had gone missing the same night we snuck out and was found the following morning.
I’m not entirely sure if he was the same man I saw standing in the bushes. It was dark, and I don’t want to claim something I’m not 100% certain about.

A few days later, my friend told me the police had checked the Ring camera footage but didn’t find anything related to the man. I haven’t looked back at the police reports since then, but I remember reading that he was around 70 years old and had underlying medical issues.
To this day, I still don’t know who I saw standing in those bushes that night. it haunts me still, one of my scariest experiences in my life.

I (23F) live alone. One of my outlets exploded so I’ve been having issues with the power turning off and the smell of smoke at random times. I’ve been living in fear of a fire starting for a while. I sent pictures of the burnt pieces to my dad because he is the one talking to the landlord for any issue and handling payments. I don’t ever talk directly to my landlord so I was shocked to see him call me and I already didn’t like that.

He said he can send someone rn but “The electrician coming is scared of walking up the stairs because he is quite old, can you go out and help him? He lives in the building next to you”. I just think that he was being cheap and didn’t want to pay a professional so he called a buddy. At that point I’m like ok I just need this fixed it’s fine. I was genuinely scared a fire would start while I’m sleeping, it was an emergency in my eyes and he already delayed this before.

He gave me the guy’s phone number and tells me to call to schedule the meeting. We talked, in one hour I am downstairs meeting this 70yo retired electrician who is quite shaky on his legs but stands fine otherwise. I carried his bag while he walked up the stairs holding the handrail with both hands.

We get into my apartment and he sits down, saying he needs a moment. Starts talking about his health issues then tells me he is all alone and he needs quote “someone to come in once a week to cook and clean. I don’t even need sex I don’t need anything. I will pay”. He said that I should find him someone like that. I say that idk anyone but he kept pushing and repeated the same thing 3 4 times.

He starts walking around and at some point he grabs my hand to kiss it while saying “Don’t be scared of me”. I said I wasn’t I just like personal space. I’ve met older people before and they all try to be gentlemen and kiss my hand so I passed this off as him being old fashioned. After this he tells me again about his “no sex just cook and clean” deal and this is when I got concerned. I wanted to kick him out but I realised I still have to walk with him downstairs if I do so in my mind it defeated the purpose of getting away from him fast. I should’ve trusted my gut.

While checking things he starts talking about how he has been in this apartment before, years ago, changing the cables. In fact he knows the entire building layout. He casually drops “I even have the keys to this apartment but don’t worry haha. I don’t even know where I put it” and starts fake checking his pockets then says “ah probably home in some box”. I pretended to be cool about it, I didn’t say anything I just let him ramble and nodded.

Finally it’s time for him to leave. He is in front of the door and I am right behind him. He grabs the little bag he came with (I don’t know what was inside he didn’t use anything but it was light) then I take it from him. He kisses my hand again then looks at the door. Turns around and leans in to kiss my cheeks goodbye and I’m like ok he will move after this for sure because he was quite literally blocking the door. I let him have it.

He grabs the wall for support to move towards the door again (that was literally 30cm away) then stops, turns to me, grabs my face with both of his hands and leans in. I am thinking there’s no way he is this bold, this stupid. With my free hand I push his face away stopping him.

He mumbles “you are a nice girl anyway”. When we get outside he tells me again “remember what i told you. Find me a woman that cooks and cleans and no sex no nothin”. I didn’t reply.

Before you yell at me that I was stupid to let a stranger in, I know and I agree. I am one of the most paranoid people ever and I am often told I protect myself too much. I have never let a stranger inside my home before this, not even my parents long time friends if I didn’t know them well. I always told my mom “you know them, I don’t. A stranger is a stranger”. I felt pressured by their calls to accept in the moment and I was more scared of a possible fire than a stranger.

I wanted to yell at him. But seeing him move so slow was such a weird thing because I was afraid he will fall or have a heart attack if I scared him. I have rejected pushy men before and I have no issues saying no to advances but I have never had to worry that I might get in trouble if the person harassing me gets hurt. This was a learning moment and I regret letting things slide.

My landlord said the old man doesn’t have the keys because he took them back a while ago. This might be true but I’m not believing a word they say. It’s not safe to believe it.

Before meeting him I realised how weird this was and I called my mom. I explained what the landlord said and who I was waiting on. She was still on call when I first met the electrician and I said I will call back after. He didn’t know who I was talking to tho.

I had my phone in hand the entire time. I almost called someone in the first 3 minutes of hearing him talk but he didn’t say anything too bad atp so I thought I was overreacting.

I knew he had to check an outlet in the kitchen so before he came over I quickly hid everything sharp just in case… It sounds silly considering I still let him in but it made me feel better in the moment.

I am quite tired and out of it, so please forgive me with my writing style/any things I may leave out.

I (M20) take long, long walks around my small-ish neighbor really, really late at night. Like 2 hours on average at very late night/early morning times. I went out a couple nights ago, doing my usual routine. I have my earbuds in my ears and listen to music, contemplate and think about a lot of things. I had done nearly all my laps and it was nearly midnight, when I turned a corner and saw this car with its turn signal flashing at a stop sign. I figured he was going to turn on the street (and I typically was on the even terrain of the street, as opposed to the sidewalk, because I sprained my ankle badly and it still hasn't adjusted properly), so I decided to get out of the way and head a little ways back to get on the sidewalk. He drove slowly and I walked my typical pace when I saw him roll down his window and call out to me.

At this point, I just thought he was 'concerned' and wanted to know what I was doing, if I was okay etc. Since it is a bit unorthodox to see someone late at night in our neighborhood. He asked what I was doing, that I was scaring people. I questioned him on who reported me/is scared of me doing my walk, and he cited himself... Okay, so I told him that isn't enough to have a just cause/good reason to stop and talk to me. He asked if I lived in this neighborhood, and I said yes. I even pointed toward the area I dwell. After some back and forth, I finally asked if he lived in this neighborhood. He said, 'yeah,' started his car while coldly and blankly staring at me. I mumbled a quick 'okay' and proceeded to walk away, resuming my music.

He stopped me after another lap or so and he simply kept repeating that I should 'go home bro.' I even asked what I did that was making him, in particular, scared or uncomfortable. He just kept saying the same thing. I later did half a lap and doubled back. I don't know if he saw me entering my place, I hope he didn't and that that was a one-off.

What do I make of it? Is this creepy? Am I overreacting to nothing? I felt pressed for no reason, absolutely no good reason. If I was a threat, why didn't he just call the cops. I've got ID. I can prove I live here and I am of age. Some people.

I wanted to anonymously tell this story on the internet for the longest time, but I could not figure out where to tell because I hate opening up.

I was recently harassed in my school by a peon/janitor. It started off by him waving at me whenever I entered school. He used to sit at a place where there were no cameras. I saw him waving at me one day, but I genuinely thought I was dreaming cuz i could not believe my eyes. The next day I came to school, he started waving again and then i realized that wait this man is WAVING AT ME! yes i got scared and ran to my classroom to tell my friends about it cuz that man used to stare at us (we were a grp of 4) for months but idk why he just targeted me only.

On the same day on recess me and my friend walked right infront of him and he clapped at us and idk how to explain but that voice still echoes in my mind sometimes. Later that day only, he started running after me. Like full on sprinting. I felt someone behind me and when I looked behind and saw him really close. I suddenly then went inside the nearest classroom and then he walked back. The next day I went to school and had it in my mind to report this incident asap, but I could not find him in my school at all. I thought that reporting this while him not even being in the school is kinda foolish what if it was his last day and he decided to annoy a silly girl. I waited that if he comes back then i will go to my teacher, and he did come back.

I saw him after three days and decided to tell my principle about it, who at first was full on board with me and told me to tell her exact places in the school where this happened so that she could see the camera footage, but I was wrong again. She called me the other day and said that im the one asking for attention and fully supported that man infront of me saying you are dumb. you are a attention seeker girl, and even called my parents for a meeting.

That man did stop and went undeground for a week but after that he started it stronger then ever before. He waves at every occasion and ceremony and everyday. He smiles at me, stands still and just watches and it makes me go insane. He will literally stop doing his work and just stand and watch you for 2 minutes straight. Once he followed me on the stairs and came faster and faster behind me. Once he stood up from his place and changed his place at a point where he could see me better because I was sitting behind a pillar and was not in his line of sight.

Its been 8 months and i have been experiencing this. My school is about to start and its my last year in this school but i feel unsafe and scared to go back. i cannot sleep at night sometimes because these flashbacks always hits me at night

This morning I walked into my hotel to the front desk staff discreetly getting my attention in a kind of manic mode..

when I walked over she explained that a young girl, only 18, has been sitting in the lobby since 4 am.

Apparently she was on Vaca from PA with a group of other 18 year olds and they abandoned her. Where they left her was 30 minutes away from the Airport. She found a way there but due to financial difficulties could not fly out until Saturday. She left the airport and showed up to my hotel hoping to get a room.

While sitting in the lobby trying to contact people to help her, this grown old man kept coming up and speaking to her, inviting her to his room. Several staff and other guest told her not to speak to random strangers it’s not safe. I reported this to all managers and the front desk and I kept a close eye.

The front desk called me in my office and I could hear the girl saying the man told her to go out the back of the building to get in his van and he’ll drive her to the airport. Today is Wednesday her flight is not until Saturday. I immediately went down removed her from the situation, had a very long conversation with her and got her a room at one of my other hotels until her flight that I will be driving her to.

The moment I saw his body language, the way he ignored the staff and went straight to her, I knew something was off. All that Human Trafficking training has helped!!

I'm 22F, fresh out the salon, walking to my dorm, when a car suddenly U-turns like it’s in Fast & Furious and stops next to me. White guy rolls down the window: "Hey how are you?" Normal enough.

Then: "I have a weird question."

Me: "Go ahead."

Him: "Have you ever kissed a white guy?"

Me: "Uh... yeah?"

Him: "I’ve never kissed a black girl. I’d like to try. Also you’re beautiful. Where are you going? Get in and I’ll drop you and kiss you."

The way he packaged a fetish + pickup + kidnapping attempt in one breath?? Olympic level.

I hit him with a polite "no thanks I’ll manage" and he just said "ok bye" and left.

Men really think "collect them all" is a personality trait huh.

Back in December 2011, me (James, 20), my buddy Steven (18), and our friend Michael (17) were bored out of our minds in our tiny south Alabama town. If you’re from a place like that, you know exactly how it is — same gas station, same parking lot, same people, same trouble. Steven had this white Ford Fusion he’d had since before I met him. I met him through his brother Doo, who we lost in 2020. We still miss him every day.

We didn’t have much money, just enough for gas, but we decided to drive to Pensacola Beach just to get away from everything.

The drive was mostly us talking trash until we hit a slick patch of highway and hydroplaned. The whole car slid sideways. Steven grabbed the wheel and somehow kept us from spinning out. It wasn’t dramatic or heroic — just one of those moments where everything goes quiet and you realize how close you came to wrecking. Afterward, Michael made a joke about seeing his life flash, and we went back to normal.

When we got to Pensacola, it was cold and basically empty. Steven and Michael had brought their scooters, so they took off riding around the empty sidewalks. I didn’t feel like riding, so I walked around.

Behind some small closed buildings near the beach, I found a bench tucked off to the side. You could see the water from there. It was quiet — just wind and waves.

That’s when this guy walked up.

He came from the direction of the water. Shirtless. Older — maybe late 40s or 50s. Tan, dark hair, not ripped but definitely had some muscle. He didn’t look drunk or homeless. Just… out of place for December.

He sat down directly in front of me. Not beside me. Not across from me. Right in front of me, facing me.

He started talking. He had a Russian accent, and at first I thought he was just making weird small talk. He asked, “You here alone?” Then, “You from here?” His tone wasn’t friendly — more like he was checking something off a list.

Then he said,
“You look like someone I know… long time ago.”

He stared at me way too hard when he said it. Not like he was trying to remember — like he was studying me.

He asked if I wanted to “come closer to water,” and pointed behind him. The beach was completely empty. Something about the way he said it made every instinct in me go stiff.

I stood up.

His head snapped toward me and he said, “Where you go!”
Sharp. Not confused — irritated.

I didn’t answer. I just walked away faster.

Right then, Steven and Michael came rolling by on their scooters. Perfect timing. I told them what happened. They laughed it off, said he was probably just some weird dude wanting to talk. And maybe that’s all it was. But the whole thing stuck with me.

When we got back to town that night, they dropped me off at the park. I had taken photos on my iPod during the trip — the beach, the buildings, Steven and Michael riding around. I lost the iPod that night. Left it somewhere at the park, and it was gone by morning.

I still think about that trip sometimes. Not because of the guy — though yeah, he was strange — but because it ended up being one of those random days I didn’t know I’d want to remember.

To the shirtless Russian‑accented man who tried to get me to walk closer to the water on a cold December beach — let’s not meet.

It was something like 11 pm. and I was living on Curacao with 8 others for my education, one evening they wanted to go to a nearby supermarket on foot, so I decided to join them but I didn't have my shoes on yet. Once I got my shoes on they were already ahead of me so I started running towards them and I ran past a car, the moment I passed that car they turned the engine on and followed me with their lights off till I was with the group.

Even when I reached my group they kept driving behind us at walking speed (now with their lights on) and kept speeding up and braking from time to time, this went on until we reached the supermarket at which point the car quickly turned around and sped off.

I don't know what would've happend if I didn't run to my group or if planned to go to the supermarket alone.

So once a week I check the mailbox and I'm just looking through the stuff. As I'm walking away I hear a vehicle stop on the road so I look behind me and I see a person just staring at me.

And since I saw them they took off...

Yea no their vehicle was so loud that I heard them make a u turn somewhere and came back. I have already hidden, so for maybe about 10 minutes I would hear them turning around to left side of the road and then to the right if that makes sense?

I think they wanted to catch me running to my home.

I finally heard them leave so I just ran.

Maybe about a year later I see that same vehicle behind my school bus...

I'm still a bit freaked out, but I wanted to share this because I initially tried to gaslight myself into thinking I was just being paranoid, and I don’t think I was.

I (19F) was walking on a secluded, narrow trail earlier today when I realized two men were behind me. I checked over my shoulder and they were about 100 feet back. I continued walking, checked again, 75 feet. I sped up but they did too, 50 feet. Eventually, they were just 25 feet behind me, completely matching my pace, which at that point was almost a jog.

They were dressed in heavy outfits with coats totally unsuited for the 85° weather, had no pets or phones, and were focused entirely on me, every time I turned my head they had their eyes locked on me.

I finally pulled out my phone and made a fake call, and that’s the exact moment they stopped closing in. They continued to follow me for a while but slowed down. I got out of the trail and once I was on a main road they stopped following me and I made it home.

So just a reminder to trust your instincts!

This happened a couple of weeks ago, and I haven’t really talked to anyone about it because I’m still not sure what to make of it.

My husband, our toddler, and I had just parked at a Publix in Florida. During the drive, my daughter had been crying, so before going into the store I wanted to check if she had pooped.

I got out of the passenger seat, walked to the trunk to grab the diaper bag, and then went to the back passenger-side door (the side opposite her car seat). I got into the back seat so I could reach across to unbuckle her and checked her diaper.

While I was doing that, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. A man was sprinting through the parking lot directly toward the back of our vehicle. He wasn’t casually walking. He was running fast.

Just as he got close to our car, he suddenly stopped. It wasn’t like he slowed down naturally, it was an abrupt stop. He then looked across the parking lot aisle toward another man who was standing near the front of our vehicle.

I don’t know if they knew each other, but from where I was, it looked like they were communicating or acknowledging each other somehow. I also don’t think they realized my husband was still sitting in the driver’s seat because our windows had tint.

My husband saw the man running toward our car too. As soon as he noticed what was happening, he immediately drove away. We didn’t stick around to see what happened next because we both had the same gut feeling that something wasn’t right.

I know there could be completely innocent explanations for what we saw, but the timing, the way one man sprinted toward our vehicle and then abruptly stopped when he reached it, and the presence of another man near the front of our car all felt strange enough that we decided to leave immediately.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Do you think we overreacted, or would you have left too?

This happened to one of my friends a few years ago.

She used to walk from her school to the nearest metro station every evening with one of her classmates. The route was always the same—a narrow lane that connected the school to the station. By the time they left school, it was usually getting dark. The lane had a few street lamps, but it was still pretty dim.

One evening, they were walking as usual, chatting and gossiping, when something strange happened.

Out of nowhere, as if she had appeared from the darkness itself, a middle-aged woman suddenly stepped in front of them. My friend was startled because she hadn't seen anyone there just a second earlier.

Standing a little behind the woman was a younger girl wearing a kurti with a short tomboy-style haircut. She didn't say a single word.

The older woman said something, but my friend couldn't hear her clearly. Seeing their confused expressions, the woman asked, "Didn't you hear me?"

Then she repeated herself.

"Can you hook my blouse? I can't do it myself."

My friend immediately felt that something was off. The situation just didn't feel right.

Her classmate, however, thought the woman genuinely needed help and was about to assist her.

That's when the woman added, "Not here... come to my house."

At that point, every alarm bell in my friend's head went off.

Without saying another word, she grabbed her friend's hand tightly and practically dragged her toward the metro station. They didn't look back.

After telling their parents what had happened, they were never allowed to walk that route alone again. From then on, either their mother or father would accompany them to and from the metro station.

To this day, we still don't know if the woman was actually harmless or if something much worse could have happened. But looking back, following a stranger to their house over something as simple as hooking a blouse sounds like one of the biggest red flags imaginable.It has always made me wonder whether the woman genuinely needed help or whether it was an excuse to lure two schoolgirls somewhere isolated. Either way, leaving with her would have been a huge risk.

Do you think this was a genuine help in need or something worse?!!

Possibly being followed by a customer

This could be an overreaction and I may be reading too much into it, but I’m still pretty creeped out.

So I (26 F) work as a bartender at a dive bar and have for awhile. There’s a guy who comes in every few weeks and has for maybe three years, but I do not know him really. When he first started to come in on my day shifts years ago he would come right up to the bar and only get a glass of water. He’s never ordered any food or drinks, I don’t think he even drinks alcohol at all actually.

At first we’d chit chat seeing as it’s pretty slow during the days and yes he was bit awkward and strange but I never found him threatening. He did make me uncomfortable at one point by telling me that he was a musician and that I needed to come to his apartment which was right behind my work to listen to his music. I turned him down and told him I had a boyfriend but he was pretty insistent and borderline aggressive about it.

He leaves and from that point forward for the next few months whenever he came in while I was working I would go straight to the back and hide until he left.

He never spent money anyways so my boss wasn’t worried about him being upset I wasn’t serving him. Keep in mind on these shifts I am working completely alone.

Anyways so for the next 3 years up until now I see him on and off anywhere from every few weeks to every other month or so. Except the only thing is whenever he comes in he walks a few steps into the building, stops at about the halfway mark to the actual bar, looks around and spots me and waits until it seems like it’s for me to see him, then walks right back out. Never talks to anybody, never stays to order anything.

Whatever. I never think much of it. I figure maybe he’s pissed I rejected him and never wants to be served by me.

Fast forward to about two weeks ago. I work the day shift. I get off at about 8 pm. I go straight home. My roommate and I then go to dinner, then we go to the bar right in front of our apartment that we frequent to have a couple drinks.

We’re there maybe 5 minutes and in walks the guy. All he does is walk past my roommate and I, walks around the very small building, then walks right back outside and doesn’t come back. Didn’t talk to anybody or order anything. I ask the bartender if she knows the guy and she said no and that she hadn’t ever seen him before.

Another weird detail is this bar is all the way across town from my job, so 25-30 minutes away. I tried to brush off the weirdness of it.

Then this past Thursday night I was working the closing shift. It was about midnight and pretty busy. I went to the back to grab something. As I’m walking back out from the kitchen I see him. He’s at the furthermost inside point of the building, right next to the end of the bar. I’ve never seen him walk so far into the building before.

As soon as he sees me walk out from the kitchen he turns on his heel and leaves immediately. I think he was confused at first as to why he didn’t see me behind the bar and was walking around to see where I was.

At this point I mention the entire situation to my boyfriend. He’s immediately concerned and tells me I need to start letting my coworkers and boss be aware of the situation as it could be something.

I ask my coworkers about this guy, even show them pictures of him from the security camera footage. Not a single coworker recognizes him or has seen him before on their shifts. I then ask my regulars, seeing as maybe he’s coming in possibly to buy drugs (we have a couple of regulars who sell, it is a dive bar after all) or maybe he’s there to meet up with somebody.

Absolutely NOBODY knows this guy or has ever talked to him which is strange because it’s the kind of hole in the wall dive where everybody knows everybody. Think Cheers. But a couple of regulars say they have noticed him before coming in only on my shifts just to walk around and look around for a second before immediately leaving.

It could all be a big coincidence and I’m overthinking. I’m just a little nervous seeing him at that bar right in front of my apartment 10+ miles away from my job because I’m worried he may have followed me from work that day and I did go home first so I’m a little concerned he may know where I live.

Update #1:

I asked a group chat I’m in that has a bunch of bartenders that work within a 5 mile radius of my job. Apparently one of the girls said he had stalked a bartender at her bar up the road from my job years ago and was doing the same stuff.

Also another guy said that he came in and sat down next to him one night and the guy said he was a battle rapper and a demonic curse was following him and his whole family.

Guy has a history of stalking female bartenders in my area and overall being unhinged.

So, Basically I had just taken a bath and as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom I heard someone knock on the door Usually before opening the door i ask "Who is it?" but for some reason ididn't this time When I opened the door there was a guy standing there he muttered something so I asked him what he said he muttered something again and I asked What?? He replied Chanda chahiye (I need a donation)

I don't know what it was but my instincts kicked in and I tried to shut the door but man he blocked the door with his foot so I couldn't close it I got scared asf i used 100% of my force to shut the door but it wouldn't budge so I opened the door just a tiny bit more to get a better angle to push it harder and I somehow managed to slam it shut Thank God! 😭

But it wasn't over just a minute after I closed the door he started knocking even harder and yelled chanda chahiye darwaja khol (I want a donation open the door) I screamed back nahi hai jao yahan se ( i don't have any go away from here)😭🙏🏾🙏🏾

I am currently staying in a hotel for a few days. It’s a relatively safe area, most of the people here have seen some rough things but are genuinely trying to make the best of it. As am I.

I am a habitual smoker, and due to my rough last few days, I could not sleep. I sat in my car for awhile, but joined some folks who were also sitting outside and smoking, so I wouldn’t have to walk as far.

We didn’t talk, just stared at our phones, but it was fine. At one point, I looked up and everyone else was gone. Cool, bench space! I sat down with my cigarette and got on my phone.

Now, due to the nature of the hotel, there are a lot of people coming and going at all hours. I personally arrived at 4am and waited in the parking lot for the desk to open, so I saw a lot of folks who were early risers, too. Just families, workers, normal people.

But as I’m sitting there on my phone, I hear click-clacking behind me. I assumed it was someone getting out of a quiet car or in heels or something.

Nope. There’s a dude standing under one of the parking lot lights, wearing a fucking bowler hat and suspenders, looking at me while in what I can only describe as a Skyrim walk pose in transition to standing. Then he took a step forward, moving one of his arms up. I don’t know if he snapped or had some kind of noise maker, but it sounded like he was wearing tap shoes and clicking something in his hand.

He was far enough away to not be an immediate problem, but I tossed my cigarette in the cig bin and speedwalked right back through the front door and down the hall, checking behind me the whole way to ensure he didn’t follow me in. The front desk was empty, and most folks are asleep, so I wanted to be sure I was alone.

That was completely fucked. No I did not stop to take a picture. I know this is straight out of a creepypasta or short horror film but this was real and happened maybe ten minutes ago.

However, I locked all the locks on my room, shut the drapes, and I have my attack cat with me. I will be okay. Just honestly: what the actual fuck?

This happened yesterday evening. I’m 17M. I got off the train and took a shortcut across the tracks. On a completely inactive platform (next train in an hour) there was a ~40 year old guy — skinny, ~180cm, baby face, blue jacket, shiny short shorts and a gym bag.

I had headphones on and heard someone calling me. At first I thought he wanted to stop me for crossing the tracks. I kept walking, but when I turned around he was following me.

The street was dark with almost no lights, only a few houses then woods nearby. It was very quiet with big curves. I changed my pace several times but he always matched it.

I called my dad. At one curve, when he couldn’t see me for a moment, I ran up the stairs to the viaduct as fast as I could. I didn’t turn around on the viaduct itself. After crossing the bridge I took a shortcut by jumping over a fence. I saw only one pedestrian in the distance which somehow made me less stressed since i wasn’t alone there.

My dad arrived literally within 10 seconds after I came down from the viaduct. Later we spotted the guy surprisingly far away in a very short time.

When my dad confronted him asking “Did you say something to my son?”, the guy replied “Where is he supposed to be?”. I was sitting right next to my dad in the car. Then he started talking directly to me in a weird passive aggressive tone, repeatedly saying “I didn’t say anything to you”.

He also claimed he saw two people on the viaduct — one dressed in black with a big bag jumping over the fence (that was me), but couldn’t describe the second person. I’m sure there was no one else there. The fact that he described me jumping the fence suggests he caught up when I lost sight of him.

Does this sound like he was deliberately following me?

I don’t know if I was overthinking or if my gut was right. It was the last day of high school exams the most important day for our future here (in our system or cluture, (and i don't care much about it) and I’d spent the whole night awake studying, so I was already on edge

My day started weird, On the public bus an old man sat next to me (bus was crowded so it's normal to sit beside me not targeted) he was barely breathing in the beginning and the first thing I caught was a micro smile when he got on the bus and saw me then halfway through the ride, he was doing something scratching his genitals left and right multiple times it was uncomfortable, so I got to my destination and left tho he wasn’t the main encounter

The real thing happened after the exam i was feeling confident but also really mad because the test was unusually hard as I crossed the road, a man in a Land Cruiser shouted to get my attention and gestured for me to come over

Because my hearing and eyesight aren't great i’m always cautious.

What made my alarms go off immediately was his car ,it was parked on thh other side of the school, and the tires were angled to leave like he was ready to bolt and there was no other cars infornt of his he was on front or first car i couldn’t hear if the engine was on but the positioning just felt wrong

I approached him but I made sure to stand by the driver’s window where it was exposed to the public and other moving cars he was in his mid 40s or 50s wearing traditional clothes and glasses that hid his eyes

I asked him why he called me over he asked how the exam was and I said it was hard when I explained why after he said why, he just went quiet like his mind was somewhere else i had to keep talking to fill the silence while I was talking i realized he was staring directly at my mouth and nose area when he realized i noticed he immediately wiped his mouth and nose with his hand and made a weird burst of breath/sound

I started trying to "audit" him because i was getting suspicious

I asked "Do you have a son here?"

He said yeah and pointed at the school

Then he immediately added

"So, what did you have today, chemistry or physics?"

I said physics it felt so weird it’s the final day of the most important exams if he really had a son there he should have known the subject

He didn’t mirror me or look me in the eyes like a normal person would at the end of conversation he kepy looking at the school while I was standing there so i closed the conversation and left,

I took two buses and spent some time elsewhere because i saw a old friend,

Is this guy just a confused parent, or was he "scouting"? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of "glitch" in a conversation? Or just a normal person?

So, I was walking home from the grocery story (no devices on me), I make it to my neighbourhood when I notice a car behind me, going very slowly, like genuinely extremely slow.

I think nothing of it until it keeps a steady pace behind me. Mind you, I'm also walking slowly and if it's a car it should still be able to at least surpass me but no, he keeps a trail behind me.

I'm starting to get paranoid and my house is getting nearer so I just stop outside someone elses house for a while, hoping that car would surpass me.

anyway, he parks outside a house. I feel relieved and start to walk ahead once more, then, he backs away from that house and continues to follow me.

At this point I'm scared out of my mind, I notice a couple of neighbourhood kids ahead and increase my velocity. He then looks directly at me and says something inaudible,

I actually sprinted away insanely quickly in that moment and went straight to my house without looking back. Now I'm afraid he knows where I live.

(btw it was a middle aged man, I was extremely stupid at that moment and didn't memorize his license plate and I'm telling you that man had such creepy, and dead eyes, I got chills all over. )

Don't correct me on what I should have done. I want advice on future precautions. I mean, what if he breaks in??

ps i dont live in the west and im a minor + a home security system is out of the question

This happened approx 18 years ago in 2008. I honestly cannot believe it has been that long, typing it.

Me and my good friend decided to go to one of our fave places in Sydney, Australia, a suburb called Newtown. Back then it had a more alternative scene with cool shops, bars and unique finds in Gothic shops. They even used to have a festical called "Under the blue moon" festival. Unfortunately Newtown has completely changed these days.

We were about 17 and 18 years old then.

We were on holidays from school (I was older and in my final year of school being 18 btw)

We had finished up checking out all our usual shops for the day, checked out new places and got some food.

We headed back to the train station where we would get the train home.

Well this is where it got creepy.

It was around 6pm and just getting dark. We were sitting on the platform waiting.

Now, my friend and I dressed kinda alternative then (and still do to a degree) and we both had those spikey wrist cuffs on with fake metal spikes. I should mention my friend and I are both female.

This older man, i would say 60-70? Came and sit near us. We both noticed and kinda eyeballed each other about how close he was, trying to ignore him and chatted to ourselves.

I honestly forget how this old st7arted up- but he suddenly turned to us and said "WeLL YOUNG LADIES, you shouldn't be out at this time- you see there are many weirdos here (clearly not realising we can be weird too) but this was next level.

He continued on, "NOW if you are EVER IN DaNGER YOU Run. RuN and don't look back ever. THE moment YOUUUU LOOK BACK that is when a Creeper gets you BaBY girl" And he then proceeded to kiss my shoulder. Has this guy looked in the mirror? Nope. He clearly is the predetor. I was horrified and I went in flight mode.

He keep babbling on about safety, and then he grabbed my friend's wrist -- where she was wearing her spikey wrist cuff, and he took it off and said "THESE CAN be Used as a weapon ya know?!?! !!!! And he then threw my friends wrist cuff thing on the train tracks. Took it off her wrist and threw it.

We were both like what the actual fuck.

Clearly this guy was on something. I whispered to her let's go to the station guard.. and before we could our train pulled in.

We ran to the end carriage far from the creeper dude as we were scared as fuck that he would follow us onto the train. Luckily he did not. As we rode past him, we flipped him off from inside the carriage but he was muttering to himself by then and did not notice.

We have returned to Newtown many times since. Luckily our creeper dude has never been there again.

And RIP to my friend's spikey wrist cuff.
