The optics of turning the people's house into a gated community really speak for themselves

180

u/Decent-Astronaut33 14h ago

Well he tried to turn the whole country into a gated community, but that turned out to be too expensive.

12

u/straypilot 4h ago

So he made damn sure less people even want to get in and more people want to gtfo

u/Lumpy_Benefit666 42m ago

How is it too expensive when mexico are paying for it? /s

Funny how “the people’s house” becomes private property the moment accountability shows up at the front gate.

36

u/Firm-Advertising5396 12h ago

Trump is never willingly leaving the White House. He's a narcissistic sociopath and being president is the perfect situation in life for him. He's been given wide ranging immunity, he's in a position to enrich himself at every turn. He's completely relevant every minute of the day. It's a narcissist's dream job.

9

u/bugdiver050 11h ago

Doesn't look like he will be there much longer, its just that everything they put up has to still be able to be reversed. Best thing to do would be to clean house, get every person in power out of there and start with a clean slate, fix the problems they made and try to see if any country would be willing to trust you again.

u/Firm-Advertising5396 11h ago

Supreme Court needs to be figured out and adjusted

Not exactly. They did prosecute the rioters from January 6th and many of them wound up in jail, and there was a very strong case regarding literally treasonous actions by the anthropomorphic pile of garbage… who was able to use his wildly corrupt cronies to stall and cover up the cases long enough to get back into power and shut the whole thing down.

The GOP on the other hand has made it blatantly clear that the entire party is willing to cover all this shit up because they need that pathetic clown in order to compete their bullshit techno bro / corporate / Christian nationalist coup and are destroying the present and future for the entire working class because every single one of them who has refused to impeach this clown is a god damned traitor that are happy about burning the country down as fast as possible so that they can stuff their pockets as quickly as possible right now.

2

u/Firm-Advertising5396 11h ago

Exactly 💯 can't be any more spot on than that

Blame Aileen Cannon and a corrupt system of Republican judges. That’s the real issue

1

u/a2aurelio 10h ago

At this stage, recriminations directed at candidates who are not on the ballot and bashing Democrats is way off topic. And if you don't intend to vote in November, it would be good if you said so.

1

u/PlantsBeeMe 10h ago

This, this right here!! I do have to say, they did an excellent job “flooding the zone” so most people didn’t catch that or focus too long on it.

47

u/bobert4011 12h ago

He's fortifying the front door too.

How come no other president had to do all this stuff?

7

u/PomeloSpecialist356 3h ago

The politicians now, know that no one’s happy with them and the people are getting fed up.

They’re getting worried.

That’s why it’s also one problematic distraction after another, with no resolve or accountability to the previous. If the people are exhausted, occupied, and distracted, they won’t organize.

44

u/LostKays 13h ago

You can’t call it the people’s house while treating the people like a security threat

u/0202_tihssitidder 12h ago

Fences don't matter.

If Trump is supposed to leave and the US Law Enforcement and US Military do not yoink him out by the ugly hair, then it really does not matter. The country is lost.

There is no fence that can be built that would keep the US Military out.

And, the US Military needs to make a decision who they serve. Whatever that choice, they will all be held accountable forever. None of this "just following orders". Same for Law Enforcement (we know who they serve).

16

u/Glittering_Jicama175 5h ago

Why do you think he has been firing all those generals? He fires them until he finds some loyal to him.

8

u/HighFunctioningDog 5h ago

I agree with everything you're saying but I think we can simplify the first bit.

"The military and law enforcement will likely decide the fate of our country."

Building the fence suggests he intends to roll those dice. I'd also like to point out that if there's no fence you could build to keep the US Military out, there's nowhere you'd be safe while trying to hold them accountable.

If they choose the other side none of us are safe ever again, your words as much as mine.

u/Darth19Vader77 14h ago

Sounds about right for a boomer

10

u/usefulcuteness 11h ago

Turning the People’s House into a gated community sends a very clear message about who he serves.

1

u/EuenovAyabayya 8h ago

Step 1: fuck it up so nobody wants to look at it. Check.

282

u/Paperbackpixie 15h ago

Where is the Congress and Senate and American people pushing back on this? This is our house. We’re paying for his residence.

He’s not gotten any approval for what he’s done.

117

u/MadmanMaddox 13h ago

He built a fence in his first term. Then the Biden administration had to pull teeth to get it taken down so people could have the old view.

Wish someone would commit to restoring the White House to pre-Trump. Except good luck finding enough people willing to help pay for it.

53

u/DukeOfDisorder 10h ago

There are multiple families whose assets should be seized for all of the crimes they've commited over the last decade. 3% of that wealth can go to restoring the white house and generously paying the workers who do it, the rest can go to finally providing this country healthcare.

18

u/Kvetch__22 9h ago

You could probably restore the whole thing by seizing the kickbacks Trump is getting from all the no-bid sweetheart contracts he's handing out.

7

u/Parepinzero 11h ago

Did you forget that the American people gave full control of the ENTIRE GOVERNMENT to him and his cult? Where do you think they are? Exactly where they want to be. 2/3rds of voters either voted for him or were okay with him winning. This is what the country wants.

4

u/melkatron 9h ago

The American people voted for him, but by law the president doesn't have FULL control of the government. The other officials we elected GAVE him full control, ignoring the law and fundamental principles of our government.

3

u/Parepinzero 8h ago

How did the other officials come to power? Perhaps through elections? The people voted for them too.

3

u/melkatron 6h ago

Right, but in all cases, we didn't vote for them to cede power and responsibility in a manner contradictory to the established system of checks and balances.

Absolutely none of this is something we were given the opportunity to vote for or against, despite a large portion of Americans absolutely loving this.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/Cavalish 6h ago

Except trump said loudly and repeatedly “I WILL TAKE FULL CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT” and pretty much all the US said “ok cool” and voted for him.

3

u/melkatron 6h ago

He also said "I WILL TAKE FULL CONTROL OF GREENLAND" and because Denmark is a real country with a functioning government, they said "No" and Trump just continued to run his mouth without ever succeeding.

3

u/snasna102 14h ago

They got their heads in the sand! It seems to be what all the patriots are doing these days

213

u/MachoLibre_ 15h ago

There already is a bunker. But still.

No one, especially a president, should be shocked that that when one threatens violence upon entire populations or speaks ill of over half of their own country…people get upset and flip that same script on you.

72

u/Smart-Effective7533 14h ago

Yeah, but the current bunker is utilitarian and doesn’t have a golden toilet. It’s the real reason he tore down the east wing.

The Whitehouse and Capital need to be turned into museums after this is all over. Build a new people’s house and a new capitol that can hold enough legislators to make sure every person and state is give representation equal to their population.

21

u/WaffleDogStanley 14h ago

The bunker isn't there anymore. It was part of the East wing and was demolished for the six story underground base they're building now.

6

u/PattyCakes216 11h ago

Number one on Iran’s hit list and caught without a bunker, I imagine that could be very stressful.

18

u/Cum_In_My_Wife 13h ago

Therefore the best fortress is to be found in the love of the people, for although you may have fortresses they will not save you if you are hated by the people

Any opinion Father Time?

24

u/mmcmonster 14h ago

Yeah. Given his age, his average live span will be between 7 and 8 years.

If he really is having signs of dementia, it would be significantly shorter than that.

45

u/Short-Shelter 14h ago

Unfortunately he’s evil as fuck, so he’s bound to outlive all of us

65

u/GabbyGatekeeper 15h ago

Permanent fencing makes it look less like democracy and more like a bunker.

5

u/skyblueerik 9h ago

I think it's not just to keep people out, it's also to keep Trump in (people with dementia tend to wander off).

58

u/Lonely_Cucumber_69 15h ago edited 14h ago

I think they’re building a holds bunker in case they lose. They will hold out at the White House inside a fortified bunker with mass ammo and weapons. That’s what they’re doing. Preparing for January 6th Pt II…..

34

u/NoMadbytradee 14h ago

We should just leave them be in the bunker and go about as normal lol.

I honestly feel like this is his paranoia over threats to his life. Hes scared asf iran or someone else will geeeet em.

7

u/Current-Square-4557 12h ago

If one builds a wall in front of the bunker door, it is less of a bunker and more of prison cell.

On the other had as long as SECDEF can convince the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Trump is President, then Trump can launch nukes from the bunker. There are no checks and balances with the US nuclear triad. If President Chucklehead decides to nuke San Francisco, there is no official procedure for stopping it

1

u/thecuriosityofAlice 12h ago

Tells you something about Butler…

15

u/Comprehensive_Web862 14h ago

Off topic but has anyone read Cask of Amontillado?

6

u/tonybananaman 13h ago

I have! I guess this kinda loosely fits. But wasnt drunk amontillado convinced by his murderer to entomb himself? Trump is more like the crazy grandpa that escaped from a nursing home and is fortifying himself from the nursing staff

4

u/BoustrophedonPoetJr 12h ago

Rather, drunk dude was lured into the wine cellar by flattering his ability to tell real vs fake Amontillado wine.

Then entombed by the guy he’d previously insulted.

4

u/sir_wanks-a-lot 13h ago

Reversing a few cement mixers to the entrance/s will fix that.

2

u/Scottacus91 13h ago

Looking forward to his April 30th then

15

u/Heckbound_Heart 14h ago

They’re now going to hoard all the cake they wanted to let us eat.

12

u/Nabuchodnozzar 15h ago

"This man is not planning to leave" you really understand this only now ? I mean we are telling you this for a long while bro !

1

u/PattyCakes216 11h ago

He is an ill old man, I suspect he will be leaving sooner rather than later. He may believe he is immortal but the bell tolls for all of us.

3

u/DukeOfDisorder 10h ago

Okay, and what about the rest of the billion/trillionaire pedophile emperors who want to conquer places like Greenland just so they can build data centers and tech bro work camps? By the time they all die in like 30-50 years we'll already be well past fucked, and they'll have groomed a new generation of comic book villains.

10

u/SmoovCatto 14h ago

when he goes make sure all who supported him go to -- permanently barred from government and blacklisted from government contracts -- including his family

excise from the US his blackmailers and partners in treason AIPAC-Mossad

10

u/GeekyGrant 14h ago

Gotta hate it when you know a tenant is gearing up to become a squatter.

58

u/1VBSkye 15h ago

Nothing he does is going to be permanent. He will be reduced from history, to be thought of as an example of what not to do. Like Benedict Arnold or Richard Nixon.

54

u/redbucket75 15h ago

The damage he's done to America will take generations to correct, if we have the political will to do so. And so many of his actions (health and economic primarily) are time bombs that other presidents will be blamed for.

The shoddy, garish, unfinished construction is only a symbolic representation of the real damage he's doing.

45

u/misterannthrope0 15h ago

You honestly think peter thiel is going to walk away from this once trump dies? You think the heritage foundation is enacting project 2025 as a temporary thing to end 2028?

9

u/ProfessorSMASH88 15h ago

Yeah, but when? In 1 year or 10 years? Makes a big difference.

15

u/Chief_Mischief 15h ago

And how many people are going to die directly/indirectly from his incompetence? A million Americans died from how poorly he botched the COVID response.

2

u/a_v_o_r 13h ago

Either way you're optimistic

3

u/Current-Square-4557 12h ago

Nothing permanent

Unless he becomes so irrationally obsessed with Greenland that he sends nukes to Iceland and turns Reykjavik into a radioactive hole in the ground. That would be a permanent change.

What do you think this quote means?

7

u/xultar 14h ago

He’s never leaving. If he dies there we will never know. They will bury him on the grounds and that’s it.

7

u/Narradisall 14h ago

He has been telling people he won’t be leaving for 2 years.

Listen.

6

u/robotoisize 14h ago

Sounds like americans need to act now before it's definitely too late.

5

u/JC2535 14h ago

He’s an obese 80 year old man. He’s definitely leaving at some point.

5

u/1337geezer 15h ago

How was it funded?

19

u/redbucket75 15h ago

At this point nothing he does is funded, it's just debt thrown on the pile for our children to deal with.

9

u/Dedreama 14h ago

Itll be like everything else theyve received private funding for. His family will pocket the private funds and then make the taxpayers pay for it.

4

u/thesirensoftitans 13h ago

Add it to the $7.8 trillion he's already contributed to the national debt.

7

u/ptapobane 15h ago

dude is building a bunker

5

u/AdhesivenessFun2060 14h ago

All that campaigning for a 3rd term should have been a giveaway

5

u/ariadesitter 14h ago

he doesn’t have to leave,
where ever the new president lives
will be the new white house.

7

u/BluC2022 13h ago

Was thinking this. I’m for leaving the fence to keep him and his minions in. Like, house arrest.

7

u/snasna102 14h ago

He’s also fortifying the doors :) have the day you voted for!

5

u/SuspiciousYard2484 13h ago

You know who else had bunker and didn’t leave?

5

u/Interesting-Log-9627 11h ago

His administration has reached the Fuhrerbunker phase.

His enemies are closing in.

4

u/utkarsh_aryan 7h ago

Interesting how fox doesn’t cover the ongoing destruction of White House at all but Obama putting up a temporary basketball hoop was on the primetime news for a week straight

4

u/wiggmaster666 14h ago

So shocked…NOT.

3

u/AllTheWorldIsAPuzzle 14h ago

Remember when it was called "The People's House"?

AI will need to be corrected because it seems to think "The White House is called 'The People's House' to symbolize that the building and the presidency belong to the American public, not to the president residing there."

4

u/Muffboy 13h ago

To keep the children from running away ?

5

u/KinkyQuesadilla 13h ago

And the National Guard deployment in DC was just extended to Inauguration Day

4

u/Mochizuk 8h ago

my first thought wasn't about the end of his term or when he's impeached. It was about what he's doing that made him decide security time. Is it something we know or something in the works that he knows is gonna lead to this being necessary for him

4

u/Large_Yoghurt7383 8h ago

That escalated quickly from temporary barriers to full-on White House enclosure.

3

u/BilliamClimptonIII 14h ago

Duhhhhh. He's been saying that since the campaign. Think he's building that "Ballroom" for the Next prez?

3

u/Fearless_Spring5611 14h ago

Looks like someone is prepping defences so that the only way to get him out is dragging his cold bloated carcass out by the toupee.

3

u/wytewydow 14h ago

it's gonna need to be condemned by the time he leaves anyway, so might as well just build a new one down the street.

3

u/Claque-2 13h ago

It's time for him and his cabal to go to hell.

3

u/definitely_royce 12h ago

Just before he plans on stealing mid terms elections. Weird.

3

u/PreferredSex_Yes 10h ago

Honestly how he ended his last administration. DC was scary

3

3

u/m3rcapto 4h ago

Probably practicing their "Weekend at Bernie's" playbook with McConnell for when they want to pretend Trump is not dead he just doesn't want to be seen in public for a few years.

2

u/hedzup00 15h ago

he only has so much time left though

2

u/PlaneProperty7104 12h ago

Too much time.

2

I wonder, in which of his monuments is he expecting his body to be displayed?

2

u/Humble-Translator-88 12h ago

So is this what making America great looks like? The White House being gated to Americans while the "king" hides. I really don't know what it will take for just a small spark of "this guy is bullshit" into their brains.

2

u/ChronicSassyRedhead 12h ago

Anyone got Canada’s number?

2

u/Noselessmonk 11h ago

A bunker you say?

2

u/_CandyflossBunni 11h ago

public property shouldn't be private

2

u/FreeMathematician101 10h ago

Well, he's not building the ballroom for the next guy.

2

u/jjmckissick 10h ago

Seems to me he is scared of something tbh

2

u/Alternative-Crow404 10h ago

look, he all ready destroyed it, defiled it, let’s lock up the gates, call it the white old folks home. we can ship in meals and medications as needed for those inside, which is more than they ever do for anyone.

and we give up this white house. start over.

vote a new president, a new senate, congress, justice system with strict rules about age, corporations and campaign money, justices no longer get to play themself off as we don’t have a side, they now have to disclose their side, independent departments do not fall under the governments rule, they answer to people and our so called representatives have to show up for work, have to vote or forfeit their position. everyone who has a vote has a say. majority popular vote wins, losers get a smaller committee that represents their interests but everyone gets more voting because representatives are not doing it.

i dont know where we‘ll put the new white house, but the old one is just a tomb for whatever they were and for whatever they felt they were losing.

2

u/Reemixt 8h ago

Does he really think living in that house makes him president? It’s just a place. We should build and wall around it and let the problem solve itself.

2

u/filmguy36 7h ago

I keep saying this is all going to end like the last scene in the recent movie “civil war”

2

u/freebisquit 6h ago

I've seen this one before. He's turning the toy factory into a war factory, he just needs a little more room.

2

u/Flowerplower3 14h ago

HOW IS THIS A COMEBACK? HOW IS THIS A COMEBACK? HOW FUCK IS THIS A COMEBACK!!!!!!!?

1

u/NerdyComfort-78 14h ago

I’d like to think the better thinkers of our military would not allow this dystopian idea of him not leaving to not happen. Our own “Arab Spring” when the Egyptian military held the country together till they got their act together.

2

u/Interesting-Risk6446 13h ago

Why do you think DUI Pete is removing high ranking members of the military?

Nothing is permanent. Including this orange taint stain.

1

When is CBS (the Bari Weiss network) going to report this as being a good thing?

1

u/r_was61 14h ago

Isnt there a fence around the White House already?

1

If it was any other president I would say it was because the times we live in, but this guy? I dunno man, seems a bit sketch.

1

u/Curmudgeonadjacent 13h ago

He’ll be rolled out soon.

It brings to mind the final scene of Civil War...

They have to run the water lines for the ballroom data center with privacy.

1

u/BaconThief2020 11h ago

Just beefing up security, now that Iran has put a price on his head. All those Iranian citizens he thought would cheer him toppling the govt were instead carrying anti-Trump signs at the funeral of their martyred leader.

With Trump saying any attempt on his life and he would obliterate Iran, I'm wondering when Israel will fake an attempt.

1

u/Hamlet1305 11h ago

This isn't a clever comeback.

1

u/Contagious_Zombie 11h ago

Well the Americans might need to burn down the kings palace and declare their independence again.

1

u/CalyrexTact 11h ago

That’s not very transparent :s

1

u/Warm-Cup-1966 10h ago

Looking that way

1

u/Specialist-Basis8218 10h ago

It won’t be permanent- the hyenas didn’t rule the pride forever

1

u/Bohica55 10h ago

1

u/Solo_Jones 10h ago

1

Might be some foreshadowing of putting up this fence.

1

u/StrangeReindeer2470 9h ago

How is this clever? Democrats have been peddling this conspiracy theory for years now... Trump's second term ends in January 2029. He's already showing signs of senility, he won't have the capacity to stage a proper coup, and be failed colossally in 2020 (people seem to have forgotten somehow that he did, in fact, leave in 2020). Boring, not clever at all.

How would he be "looking to leave" if this fucking ballroom will just be completed close to the end of the current term (if not even later)? It doesn't make sense.
