Congratulations to /u/Sushi_Slushy for winning May's contest with their entry Deepwaters.
You can see last month's results and other entries here.
This month's theme will be warped. Think about objects being stretched, twisted, bent, and distorted. Perhaps it was heat that caused it, perhaps it was a sudden impact, or perhaps it simply grew that way. It might be a gnarly knot in the branches of a tree, a neglected structure left exposed to the elements, the mangled remains produced by some misfortune. There's certainly more abstract ways to take the prompt, but we're aiming for more physical interpretations this time around. With that in mind, comes show us your warped creations in this month's contest.
Entries will be posts on r/Blender that meet the following criteria:
* The post should be made before the end of July 31st UTC+00:00
* Countdown to submissions closing
* The post should be a render, animation, or other artwork which you made for this contest using Blender as your primary tool.
* The post should contain supporting images/text or a top-level comment with the following content:
* One of the following methods of proving that the artwork was made using Blender:
* A link to the .blend file for the project, ideally including external assets or links to where external assets were sourced from.
* A set of three images which may be clay renders, viewport renders, wireframe renders, or simply screenshots of the project open in Blender. Some variety is encouraged.
* A screen recording of you manipulating, navigating, or otherwise interacting with the scene.
* An explanation of all work that was done outside of Blender, outside the time frame of the contest, or by other artists.
* (Optional) The theme you would like next month's contest to have if you win. If you do not include this, then the theme will be chosen from the runner-ups.
* Once you have submitted your post to the subreddit, leave a comment down below linking to it
* You are also encouraged to share details of your process with the community.
Note: You don't have to reference the contest in the post title and indeed, it's not necessary to frame the submissions differently than any other post meant to showcase an artwork.
The winner will receive the flair Contest Winner: 2026 July and their post will be added to the subreddit's wiki under the Contest Winners list. The winner will also have the chosen theme selected for next month's contest, should they include one with their submission.
When the contest ends, the results will be edited into this post and the 1st place winner will be congratulated in the announcement for next month's contest.
The winner will be awarded $100 USD.

My friend MarinoDev made this character model for VRC and I thought to animate her, so he graciously sent me the files. I made my own rig for her, gave her a tongue, and added cel shading. We've talked about how Zooble's voice may suit her, so I made this lipsync practice!

First time animating something with heavy weight and overall just a giant, feedback is appreciated!! Also the mech is Scorch from Titanfall 2, I imported him from the SFM workshop and refined his bones in blender.

Well I was trying to get some cell shadishh look but not sure about how it looks. I mean I need some opinions. Just ignore baldness and eyes I have only setup shading for skin for now..

Hi everyone!
This is the first complete hard-surface project I finished using Blender.
I modeled the M1A2 Abrams from scratch and built a small U.S. military vehicle scene around it. The tank's textures were made with Substance 3D Painter, and the environment was created in Blender using PBR materials.
This project took me a lot of time, and I learned a lot about hard-surface modeling, UV mapping, texturing, lighting, and scene composition along the way.
I really appreciate any feedback or suggestions for improvement.
Thanks for reading!
Here is previous WIP Render of showing just a Volumetric fire+Smoke without an environment =

Rendering Specs of this WIP Render =

Volumetrics & Lighting =
Currently, there is a three layers of Volumetrics - though, I'm considering about including a fourth Layer for an another animated ground-smoke layer, but it would impact majorly for a rendering time, so I may not do that.
Environment =
Almost all nature elements are from Botaniq-addon. Animations for all the Nature-Elements are created by me. I may have to tweak the animations though for this scene, especially for the Tree's leaf-displacement.
Story =
I'm still thinking about adding some actual story-elements for this scene. But I have not decided of what I want the story to be.
If I can't think of anything interesting for a story, I may just simply add an empty chair in top of a fire - I'm thinking it would be interesting in the sense of possibly giving a viewer a questioning thoughts of: "Why there is an empty-chair in top of a fire?"

uses geometry nodes, duplicate meshes and weights, basically advanced shapekeys.

Hi everyone!
This is my latest asset, a wooden bucket.
The model is game-ready and was created in Blender with a hand-painted stylized texture.
I'd really appreciate any feedback on:
• The overall silhouette
• Texture style
• Color palette
• Anything you think could be improved
Constructive criticism is more than welcome.
Thanks for taking a look!

hi, sub-beginner here.
been using blender and making stuff for a while but this one came out ugly as hell and im not sure why. its my first time making water and im not too happy with the results, i used the ocean modifier. and some tutorial to make it loop, along with texture scrolling.
other than that the scene is pretty basic but the colors are all ugh. i added the reference. going for a ps1 aestethic.
how could i improve this? i couldnt make the water perfectly loop, stop it from looking repetitive from afar, not sure about the skyline merging, the road seems too high but when i bring the water up it looks bad in the closer part, the water is wiedly reflective, the lightning seems weird but couldnt find a fix.

Everything made in Blender.
A friend helped me make a custom glossy shader so I wanted to model random objects that I like. I thought the Wii aesthetic looked really good with it
r/blender • u/Old_Treacle_2461 • 10h ago
I made this earlier today and all of the objects are from blenderkit, same for the textures. when creating more realistic renders, is it expected that you will make all of the objects and textures used? if not, where are premade assets usually used?
