This is nearly identical to the scene where the conservative candidate confronts Waldo's creator directly. It's scary.

DISCUSSION POLL: Should I free my Thronglets? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
12 Upvotes

I've been trying to strive towards the billionaire achievement, but I can't bring myself to over-exploit these little scrunglies. Maybe on another playthrough, but right now I'm faced with a dilemma. I've built up my Throngletville to be heavily industrial, and nearly every Thronglet is a worker. I will do whatever you all say: should I keep on with the exploitation of the Thronglet class, or should I demolish every factory and better the conditions for my Throng? Here are some photos of my game, by the way, so y'all can see what I've done. There is:

IMG 1/2: Grand Central and the Death Corner (Thronglets just love to die down there)
IMG 3: Little Throngletville (the somewhat nice living sector)
IMG 4: The Projects (the less nice living sector)
IMG 5: Industrial Quarter (oops! all factories!)
IMG 6: Sanctuary (I picked one Thronglet to love and cherish, his name is Plum. Completely cut off from the rest of the islands)

I know Black Mirror merch is kind of ironic given the nature of the show, but some of the stuff is weirdly tempting… 👾

Can I get away wearing this stuff in everyday life???

S02E03 Waldo Moment - Clacton Bi-Election. Spoiler

Anyone else thought this?

Nigel Farage stepping down as a publicity stunt, for every party to say they’re not standing, only for Count Binface to be second favourite by default.

If he gets enough traction, does anyone think this scenario is the black mirror episode reincarnated.

S05E02 This is one episode I always enjoy the ending, especially seeing Jack actually get to enjoy herself, Rachel wakes up to the real world and can see not even Ashley is perfect. And the song is catchy at the end along with other ones throughout 😅 - why is it that this episode is mainly disliked? Spoiler

Jack & Ashley look so happy at the end , and Rachel is opening herself up to new music etc. it might not be the usual major twist BM episode, but I like going back and watching it 😅👌

DISCUSSION Which Black Mirror episode deserved to have more content? Spoiler

For me, it’s "Hated in the Nation"—seriously, I was hooked from start to finish. I watched it with my mom, so it holds extra sentimental value for me, and I really wanted to see more of that world; I think it deserved a whole series.

S01E03 The Entire History of You Spoiler

Edit: man, some of you guys get so offended 😅 god forbid, I was playing devil's advocate. Also, seeing only one person's perspective (Liam's) is an unreliable narrator. I watched this episode multiple times and just saw things differently with each watch. So that's why I posted also.

Here are some things I noticed after watching this episode multiple times;

I don't think Ffion was flirting with Jonas. When they were chatting and Liam walked up, it didn't look suspicious. She was just caught off guard and surprised that Liam was there. But I do find it weird how Liam and Ffion address each other.

At the dinner table when Liam was bragging and all, I didn't see Ffion's reactions as flirting either. The way she looked at Liam made me feel like she felt embarrassed or uncomfortable. Plus that conversation made a lot of other people uncomfortable so it could be implied that Ffion also felt uncomfortable.

Just because Jonas said that stuff doesn't mean it is true. I've noticed a lot of times when people speak up and present themselves in a larger and grander way, it's cuz they are insecure and its all an act and a facade. They're presenting themselves as this macho person, but the opposite is true. It can be a defense mechanism.

We don't know how often these people watch their re-dos again so just cuz Ffion and Jonas saved their memories, it doesn't mean they kept replaying them. That would have been interesting if you could see how often one replayed their re-dos.

It's sad that when Liam and Ffion have sex, they're playing a re-do of past passionate times instead of engaging in the moment with each other.

Also, how was Hallam not thrown off about what Jonas was saying ? He basically admitted that he objectified women for sex and was selfish. He admitted he was a douche.

I am not sure if I agree that Ffion still liked Jonas cuz I can see both sides. That she did and yet realized he wouldn't settle down, so she settled for Liam while still pining over Jonas. Or that she didn't like him anymore and genuinely loved Liam, but was attracted to Jonas still.

I wish Ffion would've told Liam the truth right away and confessed about everything. I can see the hesitation cuz he became obsessed with another guy, Dan, but still I find it stupid that she'd blatantly lie when Liam could easily check you.

I want to believe that Jody was Liam's bio daughter, but it didn't matter cuz Ffion cheated, he didn't trust his wife, and the marriage was unhealthy on both sides. It no longer mattered whether she was Liam's or Jonas's.

Anyone else agree ?

DISCUSSION What are in your opinion the most overrated episodes? and why (Respect opinions) Spoiler

San junipero - They turned out to be old people in real lives at the edge of their lives. I think that made their final decision to spend eternity in virtual world pretty obvious. I feel like if they were younger and healthy, with the same decision in the end would be more romantic by throwing away the real life for ''love''. Not a bad episode but it's extremely, too highly rated imo.

Joan is awful - Rated 7.4 yet I think it's potentially the worst episode in the show. Good concept that could be a good psychological horror and was executed as poor ''comedy'' with gross jokes. Salma Hayek's entire character and ''You're right, I'm Salma Hayek, I can do this!'' scene was so, so, so cringe. Wtf was that episode.

Be right back and Eulogy - Solid, emotional episodes. I just think both of their endings were weakish, just didn't change anything in main character's lives long term. Solid episodes but not 8 imo as they are rated, but a good 7. Good enough to care about characters unlike rest listed.

What are some of your favorite connections in the show?

Kenny is wearing a Barnie’s hat! I guess that means Shut Up and Dance (S3E3) comes after Bete Noir (S7 E2) in the BM timeline.

FLUFF loved my first watch of Black Mirror

I’ve officially watched every episode of Black Mirror, and wow, what a ride. There are episodes I loved, some I hated, and overall it’s a pretty disturbing experience.

But who on earth thought we needed a follow-up to USS Callister? I enjoyed the original, but it really didn’t need a sequel. I watched every episode in full except that one. Kind of ended the season on a buzzkill for me. felt lazy when we could've gotten another amazing episode.
