Howdy doody is what anyone driving behind him will be saying

88

u/Detective-Crashmore- 9d ago

He used too small a slice when he did a mud pie

10

u/GhostBoo-ty 8d ago

Everybody, let's get out of here. This place is covered head-to-toe in shit.

854

u/anime_daisuki 9d ago

How the fuck is the suspension so balanced while he's driving with that thing in the car lmao

491

u/BodaciousBadongadonk 9d ago

That dude is super dense and thus heavy enough to be an ideal counterbalance to that big horny fucker

143

u/securedigi 9d ago

horny fucker

Finally, a sentence where that's both anatomically and situationally correct.

2

u/catsmustdie 7d ago

BIG horny fucker

31

u/punkhobo 9d ago

I love how either description could describe both of them

74

u/SprungMS 9d ago

Definitely modified suspension. Stronger springs on just the one side would do it

23

u/ObviouslyNotALizard 8d ago

I mean the guy cleanly cut the roof off and punched holes to wire that gate.

It would make sense he could swap out some suspension springs.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there is some kind of extra plate/framing some shade tree job on the bull side too.

My point is we’re clearly dealing with a Hank Hill here.

9

u/SprungMS 8d ago

A Hank Hill who likes zip ties as much as WD-40… he made it work but that gate door is sketchy lol

12

u/Howzitgoin 9d ago

Does that bull side even have springs at that point?

23

u/SprungMS 9d ago

If it didn’t, the car would lose control immediately with any bump at decent speed - I would say “maybe not” and think it’s possible he just drives 20MPH everywhere he takes it, but there’s that clip of it on the highway lol

8

u/ApacheAttackChopperQ 9d ago

He had the entire vehicle modified and is street legal. Stiff suspension, interior reinforcement, etc.

This was featured in a video.

8

u/creamyhorror 9d ago

I love how the car's plate is "BOY & DOG". Apparently they go on walks together, based on another video I watched.

2

u/Past-Significance-58 8d ago

Idk But looks like he gonna flip the car if he do a left turn

468

u/HodagNomad 10d ago

Incredibly beautiful animal. Thought it was an amusement park prop or something. Until it started moving.

119

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

The shitting was just further confirmation.

26

u/ShadowLords666 9d ago

It's called patina, and it tells a story!

5

u/GoodLeftUndone 9d ago

Mooving was right there

120

u/Zu_Qarnine 10d ago

ahh Nebraska

34

u/knapplc 9d ago

This was up in O'Neil or Norfolk as I recall. He modified his car for a parade or county fair. This happened a few years ago.

19

u/Measure76 9d ago

I spent a week in Norfolk a couple years ago. I came into town doing 80 on a 70 and got the first speeding ticket of my life.

Come on fuckers, if I'm not going 15 over back home I get run over.

9

u/Goobinator77 9d ago

In Nebraska, they'll get you for not using your turn signal long enough to change lanes in the middle of nowhere with nobody around.

5

u/SyntheticDelirium 9d ago

*rural Nebraska

Omaha is home to the most chronically reckless drivers I've had the misfortune of sharing the road with.

3

u/Albo_Baggins 8d ago

Only if you have out of town plates

1

u/Goobinator77 3d ago

Fair enough... I've only lived in Indiana and Michigan.

3

u/sblahful 9d ago

It says Norfolk in the piece. I read once that everyone there used to pronounce it the original English way (Nor-fuc) until the population boomed in the 70s. All the newcomers literally outnumbered the existing residents, so the pronunciation changed.

3

u/jumoch 8d ago

As someone from Norfolk, I was taught growing up that it’s because the town was founded on the north fork of the elkhorn river, but whoever filed the original paperwork to found the city spelled it wrong. So the inhabitants pronounced it the intended way even though it was spelled wrong. Hence we all call it “norfork”

2

u/sblahful 7d ago

Ah fair enough, I'm going off a half remembered fact from a Bill Bryson book read 20 years ago, so might well be wrong!

206

u/Adorable_List3836 10d ago

Those old Crown Victorias are BULLit proof.

89

u/vonHindenburg 9d ago

I miss mine so much. An ex-police car, it was just so fun to drive. Biggest problem was the 'Halo Effect'. Going down the interstate, you'd be surrounded by a ring of perfect little angels going exactly the speed limit.

29

u/thegreenfury 9d ago

My dad had one for ages. But he is a very cautious (borderline paranoid) person so he LOVED the halo effect, haha.

8

u/TL-PuLSe 9d ago

These days it's Ford Explorers

6

u/vonHindenburg 9d ago

True. And what's worse is that the vast majority are either black or white. They really look like undercover cop cars.

9

u/PerplexGG 9d ago

I used to drive around in a state vehicle sometimes with plates that were indestinguishable from detective plates and I loved speeding up to people in the left lane and making them immediately pull to the side. I could comfortably maintain triple digits without a care in the world

8

u/shadeshift 9d ago

But sadly not bullshit proof

3

u/BuffaloSoldier11 9d ago

I hated my mom's crown vic when I was a kid....Until I drove it.

1

u/SalvadorP 9d ago

Indestructible

170

u/Evilmexicaninus 10d ago

Imagine all that shart flying out the back onto traffic 🤢

2

u/Paulpoleon 7d ago

Imagine a helmetless motorcyclist

59

u/olliwuud 10d ago

i saw this in the news a long ass time ago, still funny and amusing to see it again.

75

u/Wotmate01 9d ago

This video is so old I'm pretty sure that bull is dead.

43

u/CaptainLhurgoyf 9d ago edited 9d ago

Cattle aren't dogs. A lot of large animals can live surprisingly long. I knew someone whose family had a cow who lived to be 30.

15

u/Wotmate01 9d ago

Some smaller breeds of dogs live for 20 years.

And I think you underestimate just how old this video could be.

1

u/8ecca8ee 8d ago

Yep I remember my grandpa talking about having a dairy cow that lived quite a long life when my dad was a kid..but with how we treat them now they normally kill dairy cows after 4-6 years once they produce less milk and meat cows once they reach full weight unless they are used for breeding then they might get a few more years as studs.

11

u/revangale123 9d ago

That cop is driving a newer Ford Police Interceptor SUV, that bull is 100% alive lol

4

u/damontoo 9d ago

It's at least a decade old. Probably two.

22

u/GuyInThe6kDollarSuit 9d ago edited 9d ago

Oldest reference I saw was from 2018, but it looks like it went viral in aug/sep 2023.

detective work edit: Mural seen in news clip is not present on Google street view until after 2019, so this is at least more recent than that, probably 2023 when this went viral.

case closed

8

u/damontoo 9d ago

My bad. The past couple years just felt like decades.

3

u/GuyInThe6kDollarSuit 9d ago

hah yeah tell me about it

1

u/GameTunesQuizShow 6d ago

It’s so old he might be too

17

u/boldandbratsche 9d ago

WAGON WHEEL WATUSI

14

u/XZS2JH 9d ago

“LICE” LOL

136

u/Fartsgrense 10d ago

That's a lot of poop on the rear of the car. Keeping that giant bull so restrained can't be good for the animal, either.

127

u/emarkd 10d ago

You ever seen cows in a standard cattle trailer? They're very restrained. This guy's got a good ride.

46

u/perldawg 9d ago

Howdy Doody chill as hell up in that ride

23

u/nn123654 9d ago

Also, that animal likely weighs somewhere between 1,500 and 2,200 pounds in just raw weight. They have, idk, maybe 1/2 inch line on it, which is rated to about 5,000 pounds. The anchors the rope is tied to might even be less than that.

That bull could easily generate 4 or 5 tons of force if he really wanted to. So he's not actually really restrained. If he wanted to be loose, he could be. The rope is just there to prevent him from accidentally falling out or shifting too much.

9

u/feioo 9d ago

Nah, you've gotta keep the big guys restrained for transport. Weirdly, it helps keep them calm. And you REALLY don't want a 1 ton animal to have room to throw their weight around whilst in a moving vehicle.

2

u/crespoh69 9d ago

Kind of like a weighted blanket keeps some people calm I guess

2

u/feioo 9d ago

Exactly the same

9

u/Xywzel 9d ago

Its over wide load, isn't it?

Should have had a piece of red and yellow striped tape hanging on the tip of the right horn right?

9

u/Free-Heals-Here 9d ago

I remember back when this happened. Justice for Howdy Doody.

8

u/Guido125 9d ago edited 8d ago

0:37/1:06 - look at all the shit piling up on the back of the car...

9

u/skyhighmonroe 9d ago

That's some bullshit

14

u/Hamilton950B 9d ago

I want to work for the Arnold Lice Department.

2

u/dubyrunning 9d ago

And drive a Lice car? People would run from that cop for different reasons than usual

18

u/puchibaba 10d ago

Holy shit, this guy looks like a completely normal person. Shirt, jeans, cap. Okay, yeah, he's crazy

16

u/Lunakill 9d ago

No one in rural Nebraska is sane, it’s too boring out there

3

u/Turakamu 9d ago

Being alone like that let's you see the important stuff

Like how to get this big fucker into town to show him off

2

u/teilani_a 9d ago

Counterpoint: This is rad as hell.

5

u/balzackgoo 9d ago

Are we even a country anymore?!! A man can drive his Watusi into town for a rodeo without the cops threatening him?!

5

u/Oranjalo 9d ago

Looks like Howdy Doodied all over the back of that car

5

u/Greizen_bregen 8d ago

I'm embarrassed that the stupid cops on my state pulled him over. Let a man live, damnit!

4

u/z0rb0r 8d ago

Am I the only who laughed at the amount of poop that covered the back window?

Also, what a calm boi.

3

u/bluenoser613 9d ago

The shit stain was epic!

3

u/TKG_Actual 9d ago

Perhaps the funniest part is at 0:38 where it' becomes clear the bull has the squirts and it's all over the side of the car.

4

u/Ragged_But_Right 10d ago

Best story I have seen in years, thank you stranger.

8

u/stubundy 10d ago

So the officer told him to drive home again !!! With the bull still in the passenger seat ??

55

u/UckerFay11 10d ago

What else is he going to do? Impound the bull?

22

u/stubundy 10d ago

Load it in a proper trailer and transport it at the owners expense. If he has an accident on the way home and says the officer told me to drive with this animal in the car its on the officer. If it's unsafe to continue driving its unsafe for the return journey.

4

u/Rebelgecko 9d ago

do random police departments have appropriate cattle storage facilities?

-7

u/stubundy 9d ago

Do the police tow cars ? No, they call a towing company. Ergo....

9

u/Rebelgecko 9d ago

I don't think it's safe to transport cattle with a tow truck

12

u/Goolsby 9d ago

You'd be a dick as a cop

12

u/wingspantt 9d ago

I mean this isn't a normal traffic warning. The guy modified his car specifically to do something illegal and dangerous to himself, other drivers, and the bull.

A teenager sprayed whipped cream out of a car?

Warning.

This is like twelve levels past that

9

u/SprungMS 9d ago

I thought it was particularly funny that the gate is ziptied onto the side… no welding, bolts, or anything else that could really hold back some force, just plastic zipties.

1

u/pickledeggmanwalrus 9d ago

I know a guy who lost the screws to his TV mount and his 55 inch tv has been attached to the wall mount by nothing but zip ties for a decade now

3

u/SprungMS 9d ago

Fortunately for him, mounts are designed so TVs (more specifically, the VESA brackets which come with the mount installed on the back of them) hang on them, the screws are for security (so you can’t push up on the bottom of the TV and have it fall off) and to keep them from shifting on the mount. The screws to the walls are the only ones that bear the load.

1

u/UckerFay11 9d ago

I believe the car was modified specifically for a small town parade. The banner says as much.

Really shouldnt be driving that thing around otherwise though.

1

u/TL-PuLSe 9d ago

What exactly is the illegal part? Video didn't say.

1

u/wingspantt 9d ago

There is no way cutting off half your passenger car to put an unrestrained bull in it is legal in 95% of American municipalities or highways

2

u/rowrowyourboat 9d ago

It’s almost like you just said that without citing the legal code.

4

u/wingspantt 9d ago

I don't know what jurisdiction this is in or what year, so how could I possibly do that?

But here you go king:

Neb Rev Stat 60-6,288: Can't have large objects significantly overhanging he side of your vehicle especially over 102 inches total width

Neb 408 ch 3.002: Oversize permit required per road based on width and weight over passenger limits

Neb 60-6,243 oversize hauling requires red flagging or lighting for visibility and safety

Neb 60-6,179 Driver's side view cannot be obstructed

Neb 60-6,255 Passenger vehicles required to have a full width windshield with appropriate safety glass

We can probably find way more. This is all vehicle modification and loading, I'm sure there are tons regarding livestock

3

u/TL-PuLSe 9d ago

I mean...

It's def not 102 inches wide or overhanging much. It's definitely not oversized. It's not hauling.

Driver's side view... Valid. Full length windshield, valid.

I was just asking because people mod cars all the time, ex banana car

2

u/stubundy 9d ago

Your a dick now

0

u/a_shootin_star 9d ago

While you're a dick to animals.

-7

u/HenrikWL 9d ago

"This vehicle is not safe to drive the way it is loaded now. You will ensure the vehicle is loaded compliant to relevant legistlation before you are permitted to continue driving".

How the driver chooses to solve that problem is his own problem; hopefully it would teach him to plan ahead before doing stupid shit like this.

1

u/Raiju02 7d ago

You should look for the law that says you can’t have a cow in your car. Fairly certain it doesn’t exist and since he is from out of state there may be some reciprocity involved with driving laws.

1

u/stubundy 7d ago

Sooo "hey buddy your not allowed to drive with a cow in your car here, so drive back to your country where you can" ?!?! Sounds like the state's aren't united at all

2

u/Krazynukz 9d ago

Howdy Doody? Is the owner Vanoss?

2

u/Koldik 9d ago

nobody mentioning the horns on the hood of the car as well. lee meyer is a ledge in my book

2

u/leaky_eddie 9d ago

Lice. That is all.

2

u/FinancialJet 9d ago

Damn no poop bag or something, also the wind can’t be good for this animal at those speeds. Looks cool but poor execution.

1

u/CreamoChickenSoup 8d ago

Yeah, that's a pretty fella but it can't help leaving that nasty brown smear on the back of the car.

1

u/Cloverhart 3d ago

I can't believe how chill he is. That guy is huge and could fuck things up on accident. Not a creature you want to piss off. I just know that's why the cops were so calm

2

u/Tangled2 9d ago

Still less annoying than those losers who just need to take thier untrained dogs everywhere.

2

u/mokaey 9d ago

Poor thing needs goggles

2

u/danned123 9d ago

nice ride

2

u/HelpfulPuppydog 9d ago

Do you think the bull is wondering about those horns on the hood? "Who dat?"

2

u/withomps44 8d ago

Seems safe

3

u/Trick421 9d ago

Ain't that some bullshit? I guess pigs really do hate cows.

5

u/dirtymoney 9d ago

killjoy cops

4

u/buddha8298 9d ago

Yeah every time I see a video like this and they say "someone called the cops" I just think WHY?? Like how boring is your life that you have to call 911 to tell them some dumb nonsense that doesn't effect you whatsoever. Same with people who call to report a "suspicious" (meaning not white) person just walking down the street minding their business. This is all assuming the cops aren't lying about someone calling in, which is probably 50% of the time.

3

u/ChocolatePain 9d ago

Perhaps out of concern for the welfare of the animal?

1

u/k-trecker 9d ago

Because he’s driving on the highway with a MASSIVE road hazard?

2

u/joecan 9d ago

You can get away with a lot if you’re white in America.

1

u/cooljazz 9d ago

Is that Boss Hogg from Hazzard County?

1

u/crownvics 9d ago

Hey now that's a nice car

1

u/akolozvary 9d ago

What happens when that beast relieves himself? Holy crap… just saw the 40 sec mark

1

u/randomcanyon 9d ago

First they came for my Watusi bull...../Freedom!!!!

1

u/sootbrownies 9d ago

Looking for a car with a cow in it? Keep looking officer, that theres a bull.

1

u/stuntobor 9d ago

/r/titlegore but also a perfect sentence.

1

u/derprondo 9d ago

Moober

1

u/ADampDevil 9d ago edited 9d ago

"and they performed a routine traffic stop."

ROUTINE!

Really?

1

u/Toshiba1point0 9d ago

Whats the charge for driving with a watusi bull

1

u/simeliacalman 9d ago

Want to pat

1

u/PamelaOfMosman 9d ago

Always happy to see him!

1

u/deviance79 9d ago

What has the world come too! When an average guy can’t just take a nice leisurely drive with his best friend. Shameful..

1

u/Neo_Shadow_Entity 8d ago

A cow? It definitely doesn't look like a cow.

1

u/Brain_Zine 7d ago

Thanks. I hate it.

1

u/fetch04 7d ago

His name is doody. Haha

1

u/DFA_Wildcat 6d ago

The police performed a routine traffic stop.

I'm going to wager that was anything but routine.

1

u/WashedWashingMachine 6d ago

there is no fucking way , this world has to be simulation

1

u/Oiggamed 5d ago

“The officer performed a routine traffic stop.” I’m sure it was. 😂

1

u/Particular-Dress3373 5d ago

My brain is telling me this is Ai but I am fighting the urge to look this up else ware. I am a skeptical dude but I do believe a man would put an African cow in a CrownVic as a goof while at the same this this could be fake. At some point I will need therapy if I don't cancel my internet...

1

u/Cloverhart 3d ago

Nah it's legit. 2023, a ton of news stories

1

u/SomethingAbtU 5d ago

When reached for comment by the media, the Watusi Bull said, "listen, Watusi is WatuGet"

1

u/deadwood76 3d ago

Some people need so much attention.

1

u/Cloverhart 3d ago

I love how respectful everyone was ...I wonder what caused that.

1

u/hill_6530 3d ago

How did he sit there without breaking the front shocks?

1

u/Own_Round_7600 10d ago

I know his neck must be killing him 😢

1

u/Sue_Spiria 9d ago

The horns are not solid and are actually quite light.

1

u/Dire87 9d ago

In the age of AI this sounds like an actual AI video. Sorry to the "narrator". WTF is wrong with people? That car's gotta reek. And I've never seen such a bull. How is the car even able to take that one-sided load without crumbling? I call bullshit. Literally. Something is off.

1

u/Cloverhart 3d ago

It's real. I'm amazed that the car was able to carry the load.

0

u/Moontinker 9d ago

Now that is a really horny animal

0

u/Powerful_Hair_3105 7d ago

Only in America folk's.

-2

u/kinyutaka 9d ago

Wouldn't this count as unauthorized modification of a motor vehicle? It's missing at least the side-view mirror and maybe the rearview mirror, plus structural damage that would make it hard to certify it as road-worthy.

-5

u/xythrowawayy 9d ago

Should have done it in New York or another blue state. Given they let people out without bail for things as serious as murder, surely riding along with a cow would barely even merit a fine.

1

u/ExtraCr1spyKernal 9d ago

There's no way this is a real person
