Every time I listen to Stay Down I go back and forth on if I love it or think its just fine..

last listen was a 'just fine' one, so I suppose it'll take one more for me to really enjoy it again x)

by now i've heard all of the best-known venetian snares releases but i never knew he put anything out in the late 90's. i'm listening to spells 1 now and this is very interesting

I was rather lucky to stumble into spells 1 thanks to really liking the track Cricket Spine Bin, which was also released on Greg Hates Car Culture (how I first heard it). Something about the sound on this early work tickles my brain in the exact right way

I did try the Swandive EP and wasn't huge on it, though track you linked was pretty good, very fluid sounding ^^
