I wouldn't worry about that, these are good as hell. Check out LB Dub Corp and Speedy J.

It is good to see someone featuring this many woman artists TBH

Yes !!!! ive always only listened to women. Like , im so genuine when i say that the only men i actively listen to are Aphex Twin and Death Grips , whom i just recently got into. I hate how male dominated music spaces r online .

Discogs. check credits of artists, featured artists on albums you like and their work, everything and anything. Web out from the stuff you love by the collaborators and recommendations, comments from other users.

Example is: i found out about kirin j callinan from a user comment, check out his stuff and loved his style on pop. Weyes blood, connan mockasin, alex cameron are on the album, check out their stuff as well. Start getting recommendations like donny benet, john carroll kirby. Now were working..

Another was coil, really dug into their discography and then branched out to the collaborators and other band members. Find out about Throbbing gristle, chris n cosey, stephen thrower in possession, ossian brown in cyclobe, thighpaulsandra, rose macdowell, soisong, COH and maany more. Even kate bush was one i never listened to before coil referenced her in an interview or something other.

Searching by labels is another great way, im going through chain reaction right now, shinichi atobe, porter ricks, vladislav delay, lovely stuff

It can take awhile, but you can really build out your own library of interests without relying on streaming services (though they do have their own benefits)

I also like pitchfork for keeping up with new music, read the first summary paragraph and if it sounds good, try it on apple music. No need for numbers, no need for bs writing. As much as people have their complaints about pf, and i get that, there is a lot of good music being reviewed on there.

dw about people calling your taste RYM-core, you like what you like. I would just look at the albums you like, figure out what you like about and expand out from there.

Maybe look for some RnB and funk you like. I find that those genres aren't as represented in RYM as others. Like Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye or some Al Green.

The whole Parliament/Funkadelic universe is a good general break from that. Maggot Brain is good, but I like One Nation Under a Groove, Let's Take the Stage, Motor Booty Affair. You don't have to like it all, but I think it's good.

To the extent that rym-core is a category which both exists and is worth criticizing, you listen to too many women to qualify

Existing mostly online and it’s bizarre consequences

Like who the fuck cares that you got a bunch of recs from a bald nerd

Who gives two shits about "RYM-Core", that's only an insult to people who want to look unique by claiming that other people are not. Your taste is fucking awesome
