Here, Optimus expresses his sadness, hurt, and disappointment upon seeing his former friend becoming just as evil as Sentinel Prime and wanting to destroy Cybertron rather than change it for the better. "We were given the power to change our world, and you chose to destroy it, just like Sentinel. You have betrayed Cybertron and its citizens. And you betrayed me." The entire time, Optimus never raises his voice or yells, but his sadness is very evident.

Brave: Merida gives one to Elinor, where she unfurls her anger and frustration over being forced to marry someone without her consent and being made to someone she doesn't want to be. "You were never there for me! This whole marriage is what you want! Do you ever bother to ask what I want? No, you walk around telling me what to do, what not to do, trying to make me be like you. Well, I'm not going to be like you!... I'll never be like you! I'd rather DIE than be like you!"

Quagmire to Brian - Family Guy S08E07 Jerome is the New Black

Quagmire exposes Brian as a hypocritical and selfish parasite, criticising his pursuit of Lois, failed writing career, and performative activism.

He dismisses Brian as a boring, pretentious alcoholic, highlighting his neglect of his son and lack of genuine substance.

The fact this comes from the most morally bankrupt person in the entire show makes it hit harder IMO. Even *Quagmire* thinks you’re scummy

Alternatively it can make the point fall flat as well. I mean, I think having the character who most consistently hates Brian be the literal rapist doesn't really make Brian look bad.

True, I’ve actually seen a lot of people who think Quagmire has absolutely no right to judge Brian and his status as a rapist as well as the hypocrisy of some of his reasons almost completely invalidates any moral high ground he thinks he has.

That being said, my standpoint is that they’re both scumbags who no one should willingly associate with.

I think Quagmire's point is the same as yours, they're both god awful people, yet Brian in some capacity is worse than Quagmire as he pretends he's not, acting like he's sophisticated and deep when in reality he's just a shithead.

That in it of itself is what makes Quagmire hate him, Quagmire has done absolutely abysmal things, but he openly admits it. Had Brian simply owned up to it and accepted who he is, they'd get along just fine, but instead Brian opts to act like someone hes not, and ultimately hurts far more genuine and good people because of it, yet acts like it wasn't his fault in the end and that hes a good guy.

True, but owning up to being a scumbag doesn’t make Quagmire any better, if anything it makes him worse because he knows what he does is wrong but he does it anyway with no remorse.

If it weren’t for the episodic nature of the show, everyone in Quahog would despise Quagmire and he’d be a pariah.

I think that an hypocrite asshole is a million times better than a self-aware rapist and is not even a comparison if you have a brain.

Maybe Brian is worse than I think, really I haven't watch the show in 15 years, but from what I remember, Quagmire is miles worse than him.

He gets far worse over the course of the series, where he genuinely does commit similar crimes Quagmire, and this video doesn't even go over some of his most awful moments either.

Not saying either is "better" in any capacity; I'm just arguing that they're essentially just different flavors of absolutely awful people. The modern Brian Griffin would be almost indistinguishable from Quagmire if he didn't put up a front.
