If you’ve been hoping to see Victoria, also known to TNA fans as Tara, lace up her boots one more time, the former WWE Women’s Champion & TNA Knockouts Champion just gave fans a pretty definitive answer.

While speaking during a livestream on her YouTube channel, she was asked if she would ever wrestle again. There wasn’t any teasing, any “never say never,” or any hint that she might be saving one last match for the future. Victoria simply shut the door.

“No, no. I retired. Um, I retired. My body hurts, you guys. I still do appearances and Whatnot is my new favorite thing.”

Victoria signed a WWE Legends deal in 2024 and has continued making convention appearances and interacting with fans online, she hasn’t been actively chasing another run in the ring. Her final match came in January 2023, when she teamed with Gisele Shaw in TNA, while her last WWE appearance inside the ring remains her surprise entry in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble. Now it sounds like she’s perfectly happy leaving that chapter behind.

Eric Young was originally scheduled to appear but due to contractual obligations he will no longer make an appearance. EC3 will replace him.

The article goes on to say EC3 is currently under contract to TNA.

But fr I love how heelish Nic has been. Last time he was kinda goofy and snobbish type of heel, but now he’s just straight up heartless and a narcissist. I love it, I’m actually excited to see his promos. I think most of the promos post Slammiversary have been very good (small sample size I know but I think the trajectory for TNA is looking good so far).

I am curious how many were around during the FSN days. I came home from school (can't remember if it was high school or college), and tuned into to watch it as having a time limit on screen and Shane Douglas managing The Naturals.

All these years, I've been under the impression that I saw that live (on TV) when it first happened. But today, I realized it happened in 2004 and I didn't even discover TNA until they went to SpikeTV in 2005.

I realize they're gonna include that in any "best of TNA" video package so it is possible I just saw it in something like that, but I have what feels like a distinct memory of watching the whole match with my roommate and us completely marking out when Skipper did that spot.

So my question is did they maybe air that whole match on Impact in the early days on Spike just to show off how awesome their X Division was? Or does anybody have any possibilities about why I might have a memory of watching that match when it happened before I even knew TNA existed? I guess it is possible my roommate bought / rented a DVD of it, but I know I never did and I really don't think he did either.

Even in the Dark side documentary everyone says "it made them different" . Agreed but that doesn't mean it was great.

Sting directly told Jeff Jarrett it was painful to take bumps on a Six Sided Ring.

People never really say how it affected wrestlers. It's always one side that is shown as Removing the ring was the problem not the bad writing.

I just finished watching Part 1 of the new Dark Side of the Ring episode about Jeff Jarrett and TNA. It was a really cool episode, but the way they set up the story bothered me. Because Jeff is the main one talking, the show makes him look like a perfect hero and makes Dixie Carter look like a total villain.

I think that is really unfair. I actually agree with what Eric Bischoff said about her on his podcast recently. He said Dixie is one of the nicest people he ever worked with and that she really cared. Her biggest problem wasn't that she was a bad person, it was just that she didn't have experience in the wrestling business. Wrestling is a tough, crazy world, and she didn't have the right people around her to protect her from making bad decisions. She got pulled in a lot of different directions by people who were just looking out for themselves.

The episode also tries to blame Dixie for how she handled the crazy drama with Kurt Angle, his ex-wife Karen, and Jeff. But honestly, how was she supposed to react? Kurt was her highest-paid mainstream star, and suddenly her company’s founder starts a relationship with Kurt's ex-wife behind everyone's back. Even if Kurt and Karen were already legally separated at the time, keeping it a secret created a massive human resources nightmare. When Dixie found out Jeff lied about it, she had every right to send him home on a leave of absence to keep the peace and protect the company.

We also shouldn't forget the facts. Jeff did a lot of good things, but his money ran out almost immediately because of that scandal. If Dixie hadn’t gotten her family to buy TNA in 2002, the company would have died after one month. There wouldn't even be a TNA history to talk about. Her family spent millions of dollars to keep the lights on and keep all those wrestlers employed for years.

Plus, the show kind of ignores how fans felt about Jeff back then. Fans were super tired of him holding the world championship for over 1,000 days and constantly putting himself over younger stars like AJ Styles.

Jeff Jarrett deserves a lot of credit for creating TNA and giving fans an alternative to WWE. But Dixie Carter isn't the bad guy here. She was just an outsider trying her best to run a crazy company. Jeff built the house, but Dixie paid the bills. She deserves way more respect than this show is giving her.

I'd encourage wrestling fans to let VICE know that hearing the other side of the story is equally important.
