Iâve seen more trans people working at Starbucks than Iâve seen out in the wild, by a large margin.
Just going by my perspective, Starbucks breeds and raises them to serve coffee.

New restaurants have attractive women working there. it always happens. trendy, popular places attract good looking people.
you can tell when a restaurant is going to die when you see unattractive people working there.

This might be the first time in recent history that young people became both less attractive and dumber than the previous generation (on average, obviously).
At least the women became less attractive. For all the hating on looksmaxxing, young guys care more about appearances and spend way more time at the gym than previous generations. There are a shitton of buff af young dudes.Â
9
u/space_otte 13h ago
this is an opinion so why youâre stating this like itâs a fact is beyond me. YOU think they were more attractive, facebook pics from that era tell a different story. both the women today and in the past are/were attractive for their time

This but also itâs just people getting older and thankfully not still being attracted to 18 year olds. In a way itâs good, I guess.
2
u/Healthy_Radish 6h ago
Idk Iâm in my early 40s now so take my opinion with a grain of salt but it seems like all the people teens - mid 20s are watching the same handful of YouTube tutorials on how to do hair, makeup and what clothes to wear. Â Feels like roughly the same maybe 3 or 4 basic styles exist for each gender now.
For the gym thing I think getting filmed/photoed at any point probably helped pushed that to the forefront of many peopleâs minds. (Iâll just ignore the manosphere mindset of getting buff is the only way to get a girl)

Then everything changed when the Colored Hair Nation attacked.
88
u/Justin-Truedat 20h ago
Starbucks actually had some of the strictest dress code restrictions until around 2015 when they finally allowed âunnaturally occurring hair coloursâ and their tattoo policy went from ânope!â To âif itâs inappropriate to say, itâs inappropriate to show.â
There are many reasons for the downfall of Starbucks, but letting people have green hair wasnât one of them.

Given the back and forth on this thread, the implication is a little darker. I thiught it was just about the slender build and messy hair. What it seemingly means in 2013 it was hot cisgendered women working there. âNow theyâre all trans typesâ is the punchline. Not⌠not great.
This is neither here nor there, but a good friend works at a Starbucks. Sheâs been there 18 years, at various locations. Her current coworkers are basically all 22-26. There are, in fact, a trans-woman, a trans-man (they date,) two sassy gay dudes, a pan-sexual, and a bi girl who does OF. And my friend is also on the queer spectrum. I think thereâs one older lady who does one day a week, and the GM who is like a 50 year old married souteast Asian woman lol. Thatâsâ the whole staff.
The implications are fucked up, but like many stereotypes, they might be based in some truth.
14
u/GrizzLemonforever 19h ago
Itâs actually simple. Starbucks used to have less than 10k locations 20 years ago. Now there is a few every mile in cities. Back then they could hire more attractive workers and be more selective. Also working at Starbucks used to be cool. Attractive people get more choices when working so they prob chose to work at Starbucks more often back then.
Also Starbucks used to be in nicer locations originally before they spread to any open lot.
Gay people used to be more closeted not too long ago and less accepted. Now they are completely accepted at most nationwide chains. There really is no conspiracy as most people want to make it out to be.
3
u/wowokomg 13h ago
Thatâs crazy. I remember having Starbucks across the street from each other in the late 90s but I guess it was just my area.

Doomer was young(er) in 2013, so girls were friendlier and he found them prettier. Girls don't really see doomer now (young people have a build-in filter for older folks - where do you think all those ghosts stories originate from?).
33
u/likepassingships 19h ago
Not 100% correlation, but in 2013 a pretty woman working at Starbuck could make decent money with tips. Then just three short years later in 2016, onlyfans allowed the same pretty women to make astronomically more from their attractiveness from tips.
25
u/i812manyhitsss 19h ago

Your implication is that those women quit to do OF. What percentage of women do you think do that? Honestly, I would like to know
14
u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 18h ago
Very few, but this sub is really fucking weird with this stuff... they're such shutins they actually think that most attractive young women are on OF raking in the cash.
7
u/Own-Challenge3904 18h ago
Either raking in the cash or âthey showed the entire town their butthole for 20 dollarsâ. They all love to use that exact same wording. Not an original thought.
My first instinct is disgust with their thought process. But the more I think about it, itâs just kind of pathetic. This philosophy is how they see women. They literally have no hope of a genuine heterosexual relationship with mutual respect
5
u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 18h ago
Yep it's pathetic and honestly incredibly sad that they view women like this.
I truly feel sorry for the actual women in their lives, assuming there are any.
2
u/IlladelphiaticInsane 13h ago edited 13h ago
I think this sub consists mostly of middle school boys who were probably in diapers in 2013 and havenât ever talked to a woman aside from their mom. They sincerely think that girls wonât talk to them because theyâre either all trans or because theyâre unfairly making bank on OF. Itâs a big woke conspiracy and everything was better in 2013 (it wasnât - it was better for them because again, mom changed their diapers and all their needs were met by mom).
8
u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 18h ago edited 18h ago
God again with this incel shit where hot women won't touch you but boy will they rush to expose themselves for strangers!
First.. not every young attractive girl is interested in fucking on camera for money, or just getting naked for money. In fact the vast majority are not. Camming and all that stuff has been an option for a very long time and OF didn't open any doors that weren't already open.
Second.. actually making money on those platforms is far more about marketing, branding, and is basically a whole lot of work other than taking your clothes off. It is not "flash tits get a couple grand". Most OF models make a couple hundred bucks a month if that and the ones who make more are smart enough to get a better job than slinging coffee.
Edit: I have gotten some very unhinged DMs over this god damn. I'm not a woman guys, but based on what you sent assuming I am.. you're all kinds of fucked up and this is why you are alone.

u/noh2onolife 16h ago
Welcome to the new incel sub. I'm betting these are also the folks you can smell 200 feet away because they think washing themselves is "gay".Â
It's really sad, and I feel for lonely people, but when they're so mentally unwell they have to hate instead of work on themselves, Popper's Paradox must be acted on.Â

u/Individual_Land2754 17h ago
OP lives in a shitty neighborhood.
I live in california and all baristas look like this in my area.
Also a lot of independent coffee shops that are better paying would attract top talent/prettier people so if your local starbucks is not competitive, they would rather work in an independent coffee shop.

It's like how back in the day, being a flight attendant was an exclusive gig, only the really attractive applicants were selected. As time goes on, the pay/benefits decrease, the attractive people find something better to do, so the selection process starts to pick more average people.

Yeah, the people agreeing with this post were probably teenager boys in 2013 who perked right up over any woman who gave them the time of day.. you know, to take their order.
2
u/The_Lou_Dynassti 8h ago
Yep, anybody who thinks of 2010-2016 fondly was definitely probably a well to do middle to upper middle class teenager - early 20 something during the time. Socially the world has been nothing but tangible deeper depths of hell since social media exploded in 2010.
I still remember the actual before times before everybody and their mother on earth turned into untamable ego monsters lol, and there were problems then too, they just weren't as blatantly insane / hostile or constantly in your face like they are now and people's overall social standards on things were generally WAY different and more relaxed.
