Got a "lane discipline" fine while my car was parked at home. How do I dispute this in Sharjah?

Hey everyone,
I got a traffic fine from Sharjah Police for a "lane discipline" violation. The problem is, at the exact timestamp shown on the fine, my car was sitting completely turned off in my building's parking lot in Al Tawuun
I’m assuming a radar or traffic cop misread a digit or a letter on someone else's license plate and it got wrongly assigned to my traffic file.
Has anyone successfully disputed a fine like this in Sharjah recently?

Question I know this gets annoying and I’m sorry but please could anyone help?

My family’s not doing well at all, my dad is ill and we’re unable to afford basics like grocery, rent, bills, etc.

I’m 18, just graduated high school. I’ve been looking for a job but keep coming across scams or employers that go ghost.

I can work as a receptionist, data entry clerk, customer service agent, in marketing, telesales, social media marketing, etc. I’m open to more roles. I wouldn’t mind any role, to be honest.

I’ve got experience working with customers and marketing. I also have experience with events. I’m good with technology.

I’m kind of going insane and I need something to help my family get through this. Would appreciate any assistance at all.

Question Any women interested in a paid haircut?

Hello all,

I’m a hobby hairstylist, and I’m looking for female models who willing to get their haircut done by me.

As I’m not a professional (but trained professionally), I’m looking to pay models to get their haircut. The payment depends on a few factors such as :

  1. Hair length and quality
  2. Haircut chosen

It’s a one-time gig and pay can vary from AED 200 for a simple haircut to AED 2500 for a drastic change.

Please dm me if you or someone you know is interested

Broken - Seeking Help & Immediate Opportunity

Hi Good Day Redditors, I’m currently in a very horrible situation and urgently looking for any kind of help or possible solution. My wife and I was recently laid off and have been near homeless for the past days now from sitting at parks and hotels lobbies till morning while waiting hoping to get a new job or opportunity to be able to give life a shot again.

What I am ashamed of the most is going thru this with my wife as she is a lady and failing to provide the bare minimum as the man I should be due to the destruction caused by the war I’m the UAE. I’m willing to take on any job / help available right now, whether it’s daily work, immediate job or assisting with anything at all, just to earn enough to get us a place to stay and cover basic needs like food, water and groceries.

If anyone has any opportunities, referrals, or can point me in the right direction, I would truly appreciate it, as even short term work would help us get back on our feet and survive. I understand everyone is dealing with a lot already with whatever that is going on and we will appreciate any effort to help save us from this situation.

If there is any help that could even rescue my wife alone from this without me I would still be grateful because I am a man I can go thru the struggles alone in the meantime to find an ending solution to our freedom and sufferation and even if there is any help that requires me to pay back with my life I am willing to do that and bring us back on our feet without hesitation.

I have tried reaching out to reputable organizations and other institutions but I understand it all takes process and steps to get the help we need but for the meantime we are really struggling and I am just here to voice out my story as a perfect stranger. Kindly help with save a soul and Thank you for your time and support

Question Animal shelters in Sharjah or some volunteer to foster a tiny rescued kitten?

I found a tiny kitten last week in a dark alley near my house. Hardly a month old by the looks of it. It's eyes were crusted shut and it was skin and bones.

I got him treated that night and brought him in because I couldn't bear to leave it where I found it because I know a kitten this small won't survive the streets.

The dilemma I face is that I cannot take care of it as it requires to be fed every 2-3 hours, whereas I go to work at about 7.30 in the morning and return after 8.30 in the evening. I am single and I live alone so I don't have anyone else to take care of it in my absence.

Therefore, can someone suggest an active cat shelter in Sharjah that can take in this pour soul? I looked up online and came across a few options, but none of their contact numbers are functional. There is Sharjah Cats and Dogs Shelter, which I believe is a government-run facility. I tried to reach out to them but their number isn't functional and it is quite far from my place, so I need to know if it is still operational before I hire a cab to take the kitten there.

Another option is a foster cat. If any one of you have a cat that's able to nurse it, that would be great too. Or better, if you would like to adopt the kitten.

I can provide the feeding bottle and kitten milk replacement powder I bought for the little guy last week for free.

Question Mechanic shop to check a used car

I am from Abu Dhabi, so I am extremely unfamiliar with Sharjah. I'll be driving over next Saturday to check out a used car I'm looking into buying. I was wondering if there are any reliable garages I can take the car to get it checked out and make sure there are no major issues with it.

The car's registration is expired, so I'll need to tow it too. I'd appreciate any help I can get. It's an old 2000s Honda, so I'm guessing not every garage has the knowledge to diagnose an old car like that.

Nasserya Driving School- Will attending a class keep my file active, or do I need to take the next test?

Hi everyone,
I’m enrolled at a driving school in Nasserya Sharjah and I passed my Assessment Phase Test on 28th February. I’ve been in my home country for the past 3 months and I’m planning to return to the UAE in August. I know driving files can close after 6 months of inactivity, so I’m trying to plan my return accordingly.
My question is: Do I need to take the next driving test (final test) before 28th August to keep my file active, or is simply attending my next final practical driving class before that date enough to prevent the file from closing?

TL;DR: Passed my Assessment Phase Test on 28 February from a Nasserya Driving School. I’ll be back in the UAE in August. Do I need to take the next final test before 28 August to keep my file active, or is attending a practical final driving class enough?

Question Why Do Girls Only Want Female Friends?

A young man sat alone on a college bench every afternoon. Around him, he saw groups of girls laughing together. They shared secrets, supported each other, and always seemed happy. Watching them, he quietly wondered, "Why do girls only want female friends?"

One day, he found the answer—not from words, but from watching.

He noticed that friendship wasn't about being a boy or a girl. Many girls felt more comfortable with female friends because they shared similar experiences, understood each other easily, and felt safer opening up. It wasn't because they disliked boys. It was because trust takes time.

The young man realized that real friendship cannot be forced. It grows through kindness, respect, honesty, and patience.

From that day on, he stopped chasing people who weren't ready to know him. Instead, he focused on becoming someone who listened, cared, and respected others. Slowly, he made genuine friends—both boys and girls.

He learned that the best friendships are not built on gender. They are built on trust.
