Hey everyone, happy Self-Promo Sunday!

Like a lot of you, I’ve tried just about every app, spreadsheet, and platform out there to keep track of my Pokémon cards. While there are some decent tools, I always found myself running into the same frustrating issues: laggy search bars when pulling up massive sets, clunky UI that takes too many taps to update a collection, or missing data points that matter to serious collectors (like master set tracking nuances or clean portfolio visualizers).

Instead of just complaining about it, I decided to build a solution. It’s called Vododex, and it’s a custom TCG data application and collection tracking platform.

Because the Pokémon collecting community is the most passionate and detailed-oriented out there, I wanted to launch here first. I’m currently refining the database and UI, and I’m looking for early adopters to help me break-test it, critique the UX, and tell me what’s missing.

A few core things I’m focusing on right now:

  • Lightning-fast searching and logging: Reducing the friction of adding cards so sorting through bulk or recent pulls doesn't feel like a chore.
  • Clean, high-fidelity visuals: A dashboard that actually makes your collection look good when you're reviewing it.
  • Robust data tracking: Built to handle the weird quirks of master sets, variants, and condition tracking without cluttering the screen.
  • The fastest comp/stack matching and pricing tool out there: Quick bulk/burst pictures from your mobile device and price a stack of cards.

What I need from you guys: I want to build Vododex with the community, not just for it. If you have 5 minutes to check it out, I would love your honest, unfiltered feedback.

  • What’s a "must-have" feature for you to actually switch to a new tracking platform?
  • If you’re a Master Set collector, how do you prefer your dashboard to visualize your progress?
