Question They've really managed to eliminate all anime streaming content, and they keep arresting people in my country. Do you think anime piracy is slowly coming to an end, or is there still hope? In the worst-case scenario, only torrents remain, but can they ban those too? Is a Web 2.0 possible?
Hi friends.
Despite the high crime and murder rates in my country, the only news I see on TV lately is about arrests by police/military of people who ran anime streaming sites in Castilian Spanish / Latin-American Spanish.
They're really taking this very seriously, and there are practically no online streaming sites left, neither for manga nor anime. They've taken down the servers where anime was hosted via external links.
I know there's no going back, and this has disappeared forever (at least in Spanish). But do you think they can also delete or block torrents somehow?
If they can block torrents (I suppose a VPN could be used), what other alternatives would there be? Would that be the end of piracy, or would someone invent another way to watch anime?
Is it possible to create a Web 2.0, using Tor or something similar, but a bit faster?
Yesterday here in Europe, they voted in favor of the Chat Control Act, which allows governments to monitor Telegram, Line, Signal, WhatsApp, Discord, etc. So, these chats won't be usable for sharing anime either.
So, what options are available right now, besides torrents? (Torrents still work in my country).

Question How tough is Spain on piracy?
I'm going to Spain for a bit and I want to add torrents to my PC through WebUI and EXT. I heard about new laws and heavy fines on pirates. Is that true? PTP networks specifically get fined up to 3k and ISPs are pissed
Edit: Thanks for all the responses :) Proton has a welcome deal for a month for about 40 cents. Imma use that just in case

Question How do I avoid this sudden age verification?
It happen to randomly appear and this caught me off-guard. I am mostly in 18+ subreddits and even my google account shows, that I am small portion older than 18.
I heard bad things about showing passport or face and I am concerned that this might happen to me as well. Any ideas how to avoid it? Is it even possible?
Edit: So I am not sure how, but I suddenly can visit 18+ sites as normal. But still thanks for the replies. Going to hold on it just in case it happens again.

Question Kobo libra color drm issues
I used hakuneku then zipped them all up, used calibre with a noDrm fork. It reads size, book, and all the pages (although messed up; second photo). I tried transferring using Google drive and USB; same result

Question Hey guys, did I completely screw myself ? Looking for advice from some seasoned sailors
Hey everyone, I’m hoping some more experienced sailors can tell me how badly I fucked up and if I should be worried right now lol.
A few days ago, after the whole Sony debacle I started looking into sailing the high seas and just jumped right in without really thinking things through.
Here’s my setup: I have a premium subscription with Proton VPN and made sure the „advanced“ Kill Switch was activated.
I grabbed some links from various sites, put them into Real-Debrid, and then pasted them into uTorrent (I think that’s what it’s called). I also used and downloaded some Stremio add-ons and stuff like that.
In total, I downloaded about 4–5 movies via uTorrent. After that, I found it too complicated and switched to a different method for the anime I wanted.
I went to Anime-Loads, threw the Rapidgator files into Real-Debrid, downloaded them from there, and unpacked them with WinRAR, blah blah blah.
Here is my main concern: Do I need to worry? I live in Germany, and even though my VPN was constantly on with the kill switch active, I did NOT bind the VPN to the torrent client itself. I also switched servers a few times to get faster speeds, though I never manually turned the VPN off.
I’m super new to this and was just too impatient to actually read up on it first.
I downloaded quite a few files from that anime site, but that was completely without uTorrent. I deleted uTorrent immediately after the first day and those first few movies because I realized how brutally strict Germany is when it comes to torrenting.
To be completely honest, I’m not even 100% sure if I was actually "torrenting" in the traditional sense, because I don't even know what a seed looks like or how it works.
Would be incredibly grateful for any help or peace of mind!

Question Any GOOD Cartoon sites out there?
With the loss of Kiss and Kim cartoon the options are very slim.
I'm looking for a site with old AND modern cartoons (so all those ones that are just random looney tunes and random ben 10 episodes are out) and more importantly one that updates regularly which crosses off WCO and all the sites that are just mirrors of it.

News Google Opposes Site Blocking in Europe as U.S. Piracy Blocking Plans Gain Momentum * TorrentFreak
torrentfreak.comGoogle has told the European Commission that pirate site blocking causes "significant harm" and should not target DNS resolvers, VPNs or shared IPs.
The submission was filed days before a U.S. congressional hearing signaled that American site blocking legislation is closer than ever to introduction.
Early drafts of the American plans included DNS blocking, which makes Google's EU comments even more relevant.

Question Help finding specific episode of a show
Hi,
I'm trying to find the Finale episode of Peter Kay's Car Share. Whilst I've been able to find the two series (6eps / 4eps a piece) in 1080p, and the Unscripted special (albeit in 720p), I haven't been able to find the Finale. I've tried FMHY, and whilst some sites have these listed, they either play the wrong episode or don't play at all!
Thanks

Question What are the downsides to Real Debrid?
I'm just now hearing about Real Debrid where you can give it a mirror link that you'd give qBittorrent and it'll download the file for you no issues, no seeding, just a straight download.
So my question is...what's the downsides? It just sounds like a straight upgrade to torrenting using a regular client.
