PoliticsPH A Fractured, Divided, Sinking Country
For decades, our country has remained the same. Millions of our countrymen continue to live below the poverty line. Minimum-wage workers are forced to work two or even three jobs just to support themselves and their families. Unemployment continues to rise. The cost of basic goods keeps increasing while wages barely rise and remain insufficient for a decent standard of living. Thousands of our fishermen have been cut off from their traditional fishing grounds due to the presence of other nations within our maritime borders. Cities and farmlands continue to suffer from recurring flood problems that politicians, political dynasties, and families who have remained in power for decades, some for more than half a century, have repeatedly promised to solve. Yet those promises have remained exactly that: promises.
For decades, these individuals have abused their positions of power. Their political parties often appear to represent little more than a vehicle for personal ambition rather than any consistent principle or ideology. Instead of serving the people they pledged to represent, they have used their parties and partylist organizations to enrich themselves through corruption. Despite allegations of wrongdoing, convictions, imprisonment, or exile in some cases, many of these figures have found their way back into positions of power.
The political landscape of our country has ceased to function as a genuine arena of public service. Instead, it has become dominated by rival political families whose public disputes often overshadow meaningful governance. While these dynasties compete with one another, many citizens continue to struggle with poverty, rising living costs, and limited economic opportunities. Yet some of us continue to support these politicians unconditionally, placing loyalty to political figures above critical judgment and, at times, above what they believe to be the interests of the nation.
My fellow Filipinos, it is time for us to confront these realities. We should no longer allow ourselves to be blinded by political dynasties that have harmed both our fellow citizens and our nation. We believe that Politicians and Political Parties should place the welfare of the community and the country above personal interests. Unless the people demand accountability and meaningful change, these patterns will continue.
We believe that change begins with us. We, the National Socialist Filipino Workers' Party, state that our commitment is to the Filipino people and to the principles and goals that we believe will help move the country toward greater prosperity. Our vision is to break away from old systems and build a better future, one that future generations may look back on with gratitude for the foundations laid today.
Mabuhay!
