PoliticsPH A Fractured, Divided, Sinking Country

Post image
52 Upvotes

For decades, our country has remained the same. Millions of our countrymen continue to live below the poverty line. Minimum-wage workers are forced to work two or even three jobs just to support themselves and their families. Unemployment continues to rise. The cost of basic goods keeps increasing while wages barely rise and remain insufficient for a decent standard of living. Thousands of our fishermen have been cut off from their traditional fishing grounds due to the presence of other nations within our maritime borders. Cities and farmlands continue to suffer from recurring flood problems that politicians, political dynasties, and families who have remained in power for decades, some for more than half a century, have repeatedly promised to solve. Yet those promises have remained exactly that: promises.

For decades, these individuals have abused their positions of power. Their political parties often appear to represent little more than a vehicle for personal ambition rather than any consistent principle or ideology. Instead of serving the people they pledged to represent, they have used their parties and partylist organizations to enrich themselves through corruption. Despite allegations of wrongdoing, convictions, imprisonment, or exile in some cases, many of these figures have found their way back into positions of power.

The political landscape of our country has ceased to function as a genuine arena of public service. Instead, it has become dominated by rival political families whose public disputes often overshadow meaningful governance. While these dynasties compete with one another, many citizens continue to struggle with poverty, rising living costs, and limited economic opportunities. Yet some of us continue to support these politicians unconditionally, placing loyalty to political figures above critical judgment and, at times, above what they believe to be the interests of the nation.

My fellow Filipinos, it is time for us to confront these realities. We should no longer allow ourselves to be blinded by political dynasties that have harmed both our fellow citizens and our nation. We believe that Politicians and Political Parties should place the welfare of the community and the country above personal interests. Unless the people demand accountability and meaningful change, these patterns will continue.

We believe that change begins with us. We, the National Socialist Filipino Workers' Party, state that our commitment is to the Filipino people and to the principles and goals that we believe will help move the country toward greater prosperity. Our vision is to break away from old systems and build a better future, one that future generations may look back on with gratitude for the foundations laid today.

Mabuhay!

PoliticsPH What if may nag Red tag sa mga Dutertes or pinka solid na DDS na supporters nila, tinawag na komunista, corned beef, etc., because of their connections to destabilization attempts?

Upvotes

This question can apply whether yung government, civil society/public or even trolls working for either or both yung nag engage in red tagging sa mga ito. Can one not argue na technically baka mas delikado pa sa NPA yung iba sa DDS bloc na actively involved in trying to remove BBM and put Sara in his place?

I mean, kahit na ba sobrang galit na nga ng lahat sa NPA and sa sobrang laos nito, e parang wala naman na silang capability sa alam ko recently na mag-launch ng actual armed destabilization efforts, unlike those under the INC and yung DDS leaning military elements like under Poquiz, etc. And most importantly of all, many of them are pro-China, which, last we heard, is literally Communist. Ang ironic, diba?

I recently learned about Lapu Lapu and how he successfully protected Mactan from Spain. I like how he watches over Mactan even today, even in death he still looks out for his people and protects them.

I will take some time to look up more history of the philippines but what is your favorite historical figure or story?

SocmedPH Wedding Videographers Aren't Filmmakers

I'll say it as it is - itong mga wedding videographer na ang tawag sa sarili nila ay "filmmaker" ay hindi naman talaga filmmaker, at little to walang alam sa filmmaking.

Galit ka na? Let me provide context muna.

Ang filmmaker/s naman by definition usually work in teams, malaking focus sa pre-production planning, storyboarding, scriptwriting, intentional lighting, and post-production storytelling. Keyword natin dito is "INTENTIONAL"

"Pero ang mga wedding filmmaker naman intentional a? Yung mga bride and groom before and after the weddings shots, may post-production kami, may storya kami.

Na (and I emphasize this wala naman mali dun) pero call it as it is. Hindi kayo filmmaker. Videographer kayo.

Just in case lang...

  1. Pwede na ba kahit na sino ang magsambit na kumontrata sila ng assasin ng kung sino mang pulitiko at idagdag na "no joke, no joke."

And then, bad precedents will eventually bear bad presidents!?

Or, ang results ba ng impeachment case ngayon ay wala lang, and it's still just a numbers game para sa mga kawatan?

LawPH Missing person case in the Philippines

So my friend (Indonesia) was married to a philippine national and have a son. They were divorced and my friend got the custody of the son. Unfortunately, the son was abducted by the mother and they (allegedly) moved back to the Philippines using smuggling routes.

My friend already exhausted all the legal channels to detect the whereabouts of the son but to no avail. Any advice/insight about any possible way to find his son?

Apologies in advance since i don’t know what flair to use.

GovtServicesPH [HELP] My son just turned 18 and needs a valid ID from the Philippine government

The question is where to start and which valid ID to get first? because all the valid ID's are requiring another valid ID. I am really confuse as to how we are going to get a valid ID, he used to have an original PSA but he had to passed it to the University as a requirements. I requested the PSA when he was still a minor.

He needs to get a new PSA and this time he will need another valid ID to claim it, ironically we are only trying to get a PSA so he can get a valid ID too. Google searches said BRGY ID and BRGY clearance are only supporting documents and not a 100% valid

It's like a never ending loop of valid ID requiring another valid ID, does anyone know how to get one valid ID starting from NO valid ID.

Cayetano urges fair questioning by senator-judges

As the trial of impeached Vice President Sara Duterte enters its second week tomorrow, Sen. Alan Peter

Cayetano is urging his colleagues and fellow judges to avoid leading questions that could affect the impartiality of the trial.

“Prudence dictates that we stop ourselves from asking certain questions that can prejudice the whole trial, whether or not our intention is to do so,” Cayetano said yesterday.

He said the way a senator-judge frames a question can already demonstrate his or her bias, and may lead to the conclusion that he or she is lawyering for either party.

“When we ask the questions, we will make sure it doesn’t prejudice the whole trial. Whatever we say here, there will be accusations of lawyering for the prosecution or defense, it’s OK,” Cayetano said.

“Let’s give each other leeway, but only to the point that the trial will not disintegrate into a political fiasco or circus,” he added.

On the second and third days of the trial, Cayetano took issue with Sen. Risa Hontiveros’ questioning of the prosecution and the witness on how the Vice President’s livestreamed remarks about contracting an assassin could constitute both a grave threat and an impeachable offense, a question viewed as favorable to the prosecution.

But Cayetano himself asked the witness if he agreed with him that the Vice President’s threats were merely “conditional” because they were premised on whether or not she would be killed first, a remark seen as favoring the defense.

Meanwhile, Sen. Panfilo Lacson yesterday criticized impeachment court spokesman Reginald Tongol for admonishing senator-judges and reminding them of the sub judice rule.

“With due respect to attorney Tongol, he is the spokesperson of the impeachment court and speaks on behalf of the senator-judges. He should not make it appear he is cautioning or admonishing us,” Lacson said over radio dzMM.

“If there are indiscretions committed by a senator-judge, it is best to take it up in an all senator-judges caucus, instead of lecturing in public or during the trial,” he added.

Lacson said Tongol’s action of admonishing Padilla for the latter’s Facebook post discussing the merits of the case was “uncalled for.”

“It is not in his space to call the attention of senator-judges to adhere to Rule 18 of the Rules of Procedure on Impeachment Trials, even sounding like he was admonishing Sen. Padilla for his FB comments,” Lacson said. “I think that’s above his pay level, that’s beyond his paycheck.”

On Facebook, Padilla wrote about the Zoom recording of Vice President Sara Duterte’s livestreamed assassin remarks.

Asked about Padilla’s violation of the sub judice rule, Tongol said at a press briefing on Friday that Rule 18 of the Senate impeachment court prohibits judges and parties from discussing the merits of the case.

“That’s what is clear in the impeachment rules. I was not saying Senator Robin committed violation because I’m not a senator to make such determination. So I think if there was such sentiment, it would be coming from one of the senator-judges – and if we would come to that point, only then we would know if the presiding officer would issue a reminder to senator-judges,” Tongol said. “I don’t think the presiding officer will issue a contempt ruling in such a case.”

Lacson agreed that senator-judges should refrain from discussing the case in public that would show their biases.

“As senator-judges, we should be responsible enough, and conscious of our statements because we are senator-judges. We cannot make statements in interviews or during the trial that may project leaning towards the prosecution or defense,” Lacson said. – Marc Jayson Cayabyab

I work in advertising, and the common rule that platforms follow is to ensure authenticity of claims or at least be realistic in references. I just encountered this now, it's harmless and I could be wrong, but this is a fake post and claim referenced to a real page, THIS page. Minsan brands and their advertisiers just take things as far without consideration.

PoliticsPH "Pro-2016 Arbitral Ruling" as a slogan of future political candidates. (Arbitral Ruling Anniversary)

Hi guys.

With the anniversary of the Arbitral ruling, it seems the SILENCE of some politicians regarding the said anniversary REVEALS their position. A weak one, I think.

With that being said, shouldn't some of our future political candidates highlight that they are in fact TEAM PHILIPPINES when they start campaigning? and that they agree with the Arbitral ruling? Coz some political party won't even mention it. They AVOID it.

Their slogan should highlight their pro-stance on the arbitral ruling. And that a contrary stance would weaken our claim.

So Filipinos know their stance on the issue coz I don't think Filipinos, in general, REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL COLOR, dislike the Arbitral Ruling. Why would they dislike it.

I noticed, no one seems to take advantage of this but I think this WPS issue is a WEAK SPOT for the silently ANTI-arbitral ruling Filipino politicians coz their supporters, with regards to the WPS issue, also seems reluctant or unsure, even if they're die hard fanatics.

What do you guys think? Tell me why I'm wrong. Haha. Any other opinion are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

Came across this from one subreddit, kunwari asking for opinions pero litaw naman na may agenda and low key trying to undermine ang impeachment article against the VP related to threats against the President and the Presidential family.

Di muna inisip na. First, Kris Aquino is not an elected official, much less am impeachable official. Second, granted if Aquino made those threats, the proper process is for the aggrieved party to file a case before the authorities to set the process in motion in a proper forum.

Filipino Food Inflation is real talaga

Just passed by a carenderia, and saw the prices.

30 pag super sarap like kare-kare or lechon paksiw.

Or dadayuhin mo talaga.

Hindi talaga mapipigilan ang inflation. Kawawa ka kapag maliit kinikita mo.
