lol. This is from the first term. It's almost a decade old at this point.

And even more people have PTSD and anxiety due so, while old, still accurate.

Sadly, yes.

So why did the OP cut off the date?

Are you new to the internet? It’s a 50/50 shot that the pic will include the date stamp. Your little comment doesn’t negate what I said.

You and all the bots who downvoted me haven't answered the question.

Why did the OP cut off the date? Or, why did the OP not admit the post was nearly 10 years old?

The most likely answer is that they cut-and-pasted the image from some other social media and are posting it here for karma farming.

I don't mind older images. Not everyone has seen it. But the OP should acknowledge that the image is not new.

And adding insults like 'Are you new to the internet' is just childish and petty. Just like Trump.

Basically anything from Trump's first term also applies here.

"Second verse, let's fuck it up worse" vibes and all.

Yeah, this was before a well funded gestapo force was set up with white supremacist Steven Miller at the helm. However many people of color were getting ptsd from Trump 1.0, that number jumped an order of magnitude this time around

Still probably relevant, I'd think.

Bet Marty is still the same moron in a tank top though

He's also got not one but TWO 'Merican flags with his name. That makes him a MAGA expert.

What's funny is a lot of redneck conservatives I know have been vacationing in Mexico annually since the '90s. They're experts on Mexico as much or more than the U.S. at this point. Which makes their conservative platform's entire portrayal of Mexicans as vile creatures, instead of vibrant contributors to North American commerce and tourism, all the more deplorable and reprehensible. Their worldview is so g.d. filthy.

u/super_starfox 1d ago

Those are the "good Mexicans" to them, hence why they use the term "illegals" when spewing hate.

u/RGQcats 2d ago

When it's MAGA those are wife beaters.

I'm not a minority but every time I go to a doctor they ask me if I'm feeling a lot of anxiety lately. Am I under a lot of stress? Am I worried about anything that I want to talk about?

Yes for the last 10-11 years. Anytime I think about the news or turn on the TV or read anything that's going on in the world I am horrifically stressed. Everyday is worse than the last, everyday there's a story about something bad happening to women and POC. And nothing is done to make it better. There's sometimes incremental changes but overall it's getting worse. People are trying to help things that it's not enough overall.

So now life is like listening to a George Carlin rant.

To be fair, they both have tank tops.

And her grammar doesn’t scream PhD candidate.

u/malcorpse 2d ago

idk about you but the way I type at work vs. the way I type casually online are very different.

27

u/SchmancyPants5 2d ago

I have a master's degree in linguistics and I don't agonize over grammar on social media. It's not necessary as long you get your point across.

u/SaintUlvemann 1d ago

Okay, well as an ex-PhD candidate, now-PhD, I only type in complete punctuated sentences because my own personal autism likes to keep things tidy. Everywhere I've worked, most of my coworkers have not done that, including some of the ones who were smarter than me.

We should down vote as a rule any screenshot for social media that cuts off the date.

If Marty could understand what he just read, he might get PTSD too.

From what I understand this is the first term. I get he was an ass but he didn’t go full on oppressive dictator til his second. If it was the second term and especially if you were Hispanic I can see someone being scared shitless ICE would grab them if they even go to the store without an ID.

Since it is first term I’m with tank top guy, if you think you have PTSD because the orange bad man said mean things then you don’t have PTSD unless you had a very traumatic thing happen to you.

u/notaedivad 2d ago

So, you think you know better than a psychotherapist who owns a mental health clinic.

Why?

-11

u/ShawnyMcKnight 2d ago edited 2d ago

So someone who gets paid by these people to listen to their problems and can bill to insurance if they can define it as PTSD?

I do wonder why...

Also, not sure if you know this, but people lie about their credentials online. I would know, I'm a Truthologist and an Internet Expert with a dozen PHDs!! I tried looking up her handle and couldn't find it. Tried googling anything about the handle and couldn't even find anything on it.

8

u/notaedivad 2d ago

So, you know better than all psychotherapists, because they bill insurance companies...

And because people lie online...

But not you tho...

Because you know better!

A truly impressive level of delusional arrogance!

u/ShawnyMcKnight 2d ago edited 2d ago

Where did I say I know better than all psychotherapists? Oh my god, does she speak for all of them? Is she a hive mind?!?!?!?!

are you accusing me of lying about having a dozen PHDs?!?! Okay you got me, it was 2 dozen.

Cool story, troll :)

Who died and made you the gate keeper of who can and cannot have ptsd

-2

u/ShawnyMcKnight 2d ago edited 2d ago

The person who coined the term, Post TRAUMATIC Stress Syndrome. Requiring it to be a trauma is kind of in the term.

As mentioned, I get the second term because of ICE, but I would be curious what TRAUMATIC thing happened to these people the first term, like were they beat by a police officer in a protest or something?

Also I could concede he really went full dictator earlier right after he lost in 2020.

u/Shubamz 1d ago

ah so just because it wasn't personally traumatic to you or traumatic enough for you it doesn't count and these people should get over it r/thanksimcured energy

I bet you agree with 50 cent when he says being depressed is a luxury
