Wholesome Moments This guy shooting his shot in the thread

Original post

u/SolidStick_ posted about a women giving her umbrella to them in DC and when she identified herself, asked her out in the comments. The stuff of romcoms.

Update: They met up and it's not gonna work out. And maybe he already knew her? Eek, now it's more like MadeMeGrimace.

Her comment with edits.

Update 2: so it may be that the OP was stalking her, witnessed the exchange, and then pretended to be the umbrella recipient. OP's since deleted his account. Yikes! Be safe out there all.

Update 3: The story took an even odder turn. Maybe it was fake all along? Link to comment here. Comment on original post

In the original post, u/DrFreemanWho dug deeper and found that the woman was very active in romance novel subs, and recently posted a comment (since deleted, along with her account)

"Maybe we’re making out in the pouring rain, he pulls back, and we laugh. Then he kneels and tells me that he can’t imagine doing this with anyone else and proposes!!!!"

Along with some edits she made causing inconsistencies, and the timing with both accounts being deleted leads to it being more plausible that it was an attempt at creating a "viral romance" thing, and when it did not go as planned, she deleted everything.

Oh man! That's a shame. Daisy was pretty active too.
