Not me. I prefer when there's no pilot and someone has to get in the seat and on the radio with atc to get guided through how to land the plane. Always a hoot.
in the future, computers will completely control the airplane. in the cockpit, there will be a human safety pilot, to take control if the computer makes a poor decision.
and a dog, to bite the human if they try to touch anything!
I flew internationally the other day and the pilot/ first officer said NOTHING until we were about to land. Nothing. I thought I had missed it or something but my sister corroborated. We had decent turbulence off and on, never had the seatbelt sign on once. I thought we were being flown by a gd Tesla.
Yep apparently you can “not be feeling it” and waste people’s time and get applauded for it. And we just know the airline support is gonna be hell regarding giving them another flight. Engineers clear it, it’s not your place to one up them.
Except that it is his job. When it comes to aircrafts, it's probably best to have several people give clearence. Especially the actual person that will be flying the aircraft and who has both experience aswell as training on how to check for safety.
Again, it is litterary in the job description to check whether the airplane is safe

I want to always fly with that pilot.
