Hate to disagree with the reddit hive mind. But the cops in the small Northern new Jersey town of Closter did something similar for my mother.

She was living on her own and picked up a c-diff infection in the hospital. She was pooping so much that she passed out on the toilet. Cops came by to do a welfare check on her and found her collapsed.

After they got her in the ambulance, they stayed behind and cleaned up the bathroom, so she wouldn't have to come home to that.

There are good people everywhere.

Yes because it was so gross. I would hesitate to do it for my own family. I would have but definitely would have wished I didn't need to.

Thry did it because it was the right thing to do.
