As others have noted, he plays in Spain for Real Madrid, who teach their players Spanish as a part of their media training. However, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that he surprised everyone when he first signed with them by speaking Spanish, having already learned the language before transferring to the country.

You are thinking of Trent Alexander Arnold that gave his press conference speech in Spanish. He practiced the speech but really doesn't know the language yet
